      I knew someone was going to pull me up on the whole LSA thing, but you’re wrong by two accounts. The first being that Holden never used the LSA, that was only HSV which is an aftermarket brand and technically not Holden. Also, the ultimate engine used by HSV was the LS9 only in the GTSR W1 models. Nice try. 👍🏻

    VG was the previous. It was associated with the introduction of a new platform and later introduction of the model much later than the release of its associated model. (Eg. VN/VG and VT/VU). Then as VP and VX came along, the ute was already finished off and ready for release as the expected model prefix.
    They didn’t do it with VE but also sold the VZ utes well into production of the VE simultaneously. Then again though, they did that with the VS series 3 that was produced until the VU was released.

    • @bunky8077

      Same when the Statesman was reintroduced. The VQ came out in 1990, 2 years after the VN was released. The next two lined up with VR/VS until the chassis code changed to WH for the "VT" Statesman.

    Sexy classic Holden red VX. Excellent mods. Although the 20” wheels look nice - the limited traction they would allow coupled with a torquey 6.2L means it’s probably slower than a tuned 5.7 0-100. But on the Highway - this would be a weapon

    • @wizzfizz6800
      @wizzfizz6800 10 месяцев назад

      Interesting , so smaller wheels would be better? maybe just better tyres or wider rear tyres would solve that

    • @MrTroytroy
      @MrTroytroy 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@wizzfizz6800a small profile tyre will be less grippy than a large profile tyre as there is less elasticity and flex in the tyre. The other factor is cost. Good quality tyres in low profiles cost significantly more by orders of magnitude. Therefore most people running 20” wheels will statistically and probably be running lower quality and less grippy tyres. Most common manufacturers don’t run semi slick patterns on these sizes for this reason. And lastly wheel weight. Non-forged 20” wheels weigh a ton. This un-sprung weight doesn’t help at all when it comes to performance data - compared to an equivalent Lower diameter wheel

      @@acucinotta back in 2010 ish there are a few engineers accredited with car modifications, they need to come have a look. I think he check the engine mounts, they are the same and the exhaust and a few other things. The I probably took it over the pits with the certificate after the application was approved. I think they game me an engine number too because I had a crate engine, I had to engrave it on and they checked it.
      I also needed the 5 gas emission test to be passed, I think jaguar in Perth did the test for me. Make sure you have good cats and the car is running in closed loop mode if its tuned. Probably do it with stock cams if you plan to change them.

    I'm a little bored with it, but, very reluctant to sell it.
    I was just think'n recently about gettn it going alot harder 🤔
    3 options I considered.
    1. Head,cam Package, on the Ls1
    2. Ls3 swap.
