💜this! I HATE paying to check luggage! I once packed for a 12 day trip to Hawaii in a carry on! 😳 people thought I was crazy but I was determined to prove that you could do it!
Leave shampoo, haircare, lotion at home, there's lots of mini travels size in Hawaii (yep Im from hawaii we have walmart, walgreen, target, sephora, ABC store or local drugstore). I did the same thing when I fly to state. It save more room space in carry on. Its hot here, wear lightweight clothing and bring umbrella, too. it was rainy this morning. Do exactly what Nadine did a carry on (must be around 21" x 14" x 9", becuz they're free or no charging luggage) and a personal travel bag like a tote.
i once packed for a 15 day trip through italy (venice, florence/tuscany, rome) in a 22x14x9 carry on and a little backpack and there was one pair of shorts that i didn't even get around to wearing and i didn't need the second pair of sunglasses either
I just did my first carry on only vacation, it was amazing. No worries about where my checked luggage is and you get out of the airport faster when you get to your destination!
As it draws closer to winter could you possibly do a winter packed carry-on only vid? I am traveling to berlin for Christmas and new years and 'll do some buget plane rides to near by countries and would like to avoid check baggage fees
Great video! This same luggage also works just fine for longer trips too. I went to Europe for 3 weeks with a rolling suitcase and a tote bag with no problems. I actually wish I took LESS stuff with me and I'm by no means a minimalist! I took 7 days worth of clothes and washed everything in bathroom sinks. I refuse to check a large bag for any of my future trips!
Hey just to let you all know, in the UK if you have carry on luggage and your liquids don't fit into to the standard size clear bag they give you at security, they will take the excess liquid items off you. Just thought i'd let you know (I work in an airport)
Thank you, this video was very helpful! I am a first time flyer going away on a business trip, and I really want to minimize the possible foul ups that I know can occur with traveling.
Funny story I found you looking up how to pack in a carry on but watched your weekend trip video ( helped a lot) flying home tomorrow but this video still helps so much thanks
im taking a 10 day trip to japan with only a drawstring and a carry on- it took me 3 days to figure out the packing but i finally managed with four days worth of tiny summer clothes (we'll have opportunities to wash them), not bringing my laptop, and waiting until a rainy day when im actually there to buy an umbrella
We wish we had got a carry on sized bag it's so convenient. It's also so surprising how much you can save on having no check in luggage especially with budget airlines. Thanks for sharing :)
How do you get cold, your from Canada. Btw here very soon am buying your travel session course. I was going to buy it Friday bought just bought my ticket to Vegas than to New Zealand. I hope once I land in NZ I can start watching the sessions and start making travel videos for a living. Thank you for everything and never change.
It's not always below freezing in Canada. It's 30 degrees C where I am today. (That's something like 85 Fahrenheit). Tomorrow it's supposed to be close to 35-40.
I need to do a dude version of this where the rompers become hoodies, the pants become jeans, and whatever. Jeans are always worn when I travel because they really do go with everything! Clothes that are versatile between classy and casual are a must.
One other tip is to match all your clothes to one or two color schemes so that you can mix & match. Scarves are also easy to pack and can turn a daytime outfit into and evening outfit. I also put my electric razor in my shoes, and jewelry bag in shoes. Love all this on your video.
Where are these jeans from, Nadine? Also, I know it's non-travel related, but I loved your first makeup tutorial. Could you do an updated one as you seem to have changed to a lot of cruelty-free products (yay!)? Thank you!
Thank you so so much for this video! I am traveling for the first time ever on a plane and I am only doing a carry-on and I was so nervous I wouldn't have enough room for my liquids in it, but this really helped me to feel better!
This is great! I am actually going for a 5 day trip in October and am only bringing my carry-on for the first time ever. These packing videos are super useful. :)
Love/hate carry on- depends where we are going :) really good video, the Away luggage looks really useful, charging camera batteries/ phone on the go helps a lot. Are they expensive?
I'm either going to Durango, Mexico to go to my grandpas funeral if he passes or if he doesn't then I'm going to Cancun, Mexico this month. Both I'd be staying for a week and bringing a carry on suitcase and a carry on bag since my mom doesn't want to pay for the fees.
I have to pack for two weeks in Scotland in a soft carryon, so it has one side to fill with stuff, and a tiny backpack. And the hostels I’m staying at don’t have laundry facilities. Wish me luck
+Hey Nadine This video is so useful and the time that you posted this video is perfect, I'm leaving to Mexico tomorrow and I'm starting to pack everything later tonight.
tOMG UR SO AWESOME I'm leaving for trip tomorrow and i was praying u would come out with a carry on and u did i am SO STOKED girl ur a life saver thanks so much! can always count on u! XOXO
I love watching your videos, your really nice to listen to + I'm going traveling by myself for the first time soon & your videos have been really helpful ! just subscribed : - D
I Love your video on tips and tricks so much! Can you do your electronics and gadgets video that you will bring with you during your longer and short vacation? It will be so much fun to watch it!😊
I just packed a whole month in an addidas gym bag thanks to all your videos and tips! I also found a 2 in 1 curling iron and straightener that's travel size! 😊🤗💗
I'm glad I don't need so much space for make-up (or jewelry)... maybe an eye shadow, which I use as an eye liner anyway, but that's actually all... I can't stand the feeling of wearing make-up. Curing of make-up could be a tipp from me though I'm no expert, but it will save not only space, but also money and time. Being minimalist is in my opinion one of the best ways to save space.
Small deodorant sticks can be found at places like Walmart or Target. Look in the travel toiletries section, where you'd find the other travel sizes you show. What I want to know is: how do you get through a vacation with so few clothes? I know I'm a clothes-horse, but wow! And how do you brush your beautiful hair with such a tiny brush? I wouldn't be able to get that thing through mine if I tried!!! Love the tiny straightener. Thanks for your great tips!
I'm packing a carry on for 3 weeks and I am going to both warm places and a cold climate and I fit everything and I have enough clothes to not re use anything or have to do laundry and I'm bringing 5 pairs of shoes!! It's insane that I EVER packed 2 full suitcases for a month in Brazil!!!! Didn't even wear a quarter of the clothes!!!
So we are allowed 2 carry ons for international travel? Do they charge for the 2nd bag? Not that is matters but I am curious. I wrote the size down what a carry on should be...so should one bag be smaller than the other or can both be the same size? I wasn't sure if the one that goes under the seat should be smaller than the carry on that goes in the over the head bin? I'm a bit confused watching different videos as to if we can have 2 bags and if they need to be same size. Thank you anyone who can answer this. We plan on doing international travel and won't know which airlines we will be taking or even what countries we may end up in. :) Thanks in advance :) Melody
The lovely Away carry-on is a heavy brand - at 7lb (3.175kg) it’s almost half the carry-on weight allowance for many airlines. Many North American airlines are so generous that this bag may not be a problem until you change airlines then the lower size and weight limits apply. Best check airline carry-on allowances before you travel - airlines are clamping down and size andweight do matter. I surveyed 59 major airlines (January 2017) & more airlines are converging towards 7kg (15lb) and 22” x 14” x 9” (56cm x 36cm x 23cm) so we all need to pack smarter. Your additional carry would be treated as a second carry on by many airlines - as a rule of thumb it should fit under the seat in front of you and the main carry on in the overhead locker. Total of 2 pairs of shoes & a lighter 'day purse' if you're flying a more restrictive airline. A lightweight Beauty Blender could replace one of your makeup brushes? Happy & safe travels:)
i managed to go 2 weeks with a carry on the size of your camera bag...you just really need to know what items are essential and what you can make do without
Hey Nadine, when you take the tote on plane, do they make you put it in the overhead, and if so doesn't the camera slide out of its camera pockets? How do you cure that so the camera does get banged around.
Love your videos. Is Liquid Lipstick supposed to go on the TSA see through bag or not? Same for mascara. I'm traveling soon and just taking a carry on and I'd love to know.
I need help from the expert!! I need to fit 18 days in the Mediterranean in a carry on. This was really helpful, but could you recommend some products/fabrics to make that even possible? Or mix and match outfits? Thanks so much!! P. S. Your videos always give me such wanderlust ❤️
I just finished up a 12 day trip in Europe and I mostly reused pants (1 pair of jeans and 3 shorts). Also, the airbnbs/hostels I was staying in had a washer (although dryers seemed rare, they had drying racks) and so I brought some tide pods.
for 18 days, just pack a bit of detergent and fabrics that dry quickly and are suitable for the climate and only take clothes for a week that you can wash in your hotel sink. for toileteries, I personally always pack solids. Today there are awesome solid shampoos and soaps that will save you tons of space (avoid Lush, they are full of nasties). as for beauty, coconut oil is your best friend, you can use it for litterally everything from face cream to body lotion as well as a hair protector for swimming.
A great tip is to roll up your clothes to save space. And stuff socks and under garments in a shirt or pants or jacket. Just don't wad the clothes in a ball, actually roll them up so they don't wrinkle.

Same here and it's all I want to do now, screw checking bags :)
+Briana Hendricks yeah, if I don't have to, I will never check a bag again.
We are traveling A year with carry ons only. Its been great. My baggage has not been lost once and good thing because its all I have.
yup! it's great isn't it?
I just packed for 4 1/2 weeks in a carryon...
Great Job! Its hard for many people to do.
Lucky :/ 2 weeks for me is like 3 bags :/
You can work miracles!
Good for you! I did 3 1/2 weeks in one last year.
I got the Patagonia bag that's the exact measurements for carry on...for me that was the secret.
I'm trying to do month and a half, glad I'm not the only crazy one lol
As it draws closer to winter could you possibly do a winter packed carry-on only vid? I am traveling to berlin for Christmas and new years and 'll do some buget plane rides to near by countries and would like to avoid check baggage fees
+Charles Whiting good challenge! Maybe close to fall
the slip pocket on the tote is called a "trolley sleeve"

I always reuse pants and pack extra shirts and it always stretches to a week I think I've gotten nine days out of a carry on
Thank you, this video was very helpful! I am a first time flyer going away on a business trip, and I really want to minimize the possible foul ups that I know can occur with traveling.

Have fun in Seattle. Let me know if you want any tips on fun things to do.:)

You should do a video on all the different luggage/bags that you have, and which ones you like the best!
Funny story I found you looking up how to pack in a carry on but watched your weekend trip video ( helped a lot) flying home tomorrow but this video still helps so much thanks

Hi, some really practical tips/hacks, even for seasoned travelers. Tx
Loved This! Literally needed this video, can you do a video about what snacks/ food you take on the plane (if any) as a vegan?
+Marmalade Talks I did a whole video on vegan travel tips :)
Haha I packed for 5 weeks in a carry on. Probably because I always wear the same thing lol.
they sell small deodorant in shopper in the soap areas. Most places have a small product areas you just have to look, usually in the toiletry areas.
omg i love your videos i am going on my first plane ride im kinda nervous and i dont know what to do but your videos helped me thank you
oh I like the clear/see through toiletries bag! I will be getting one of those for sure!

I am so lucky I encountered your channel since am traveling soon your videos are so helpful 💖😁😁
The best part about this video is the funny way that Canadians say the word "bag". =P Also applies to people from the upper Midwest (read: MN, MI, WI)
Can you do a video on how you pack your camera equipment for vlogging
In love with your world shirt!
Love your t-shirt, Nadine. 👏

Pacifica makes an all natural deodorant wipe. They sell it at ulta which I think is in Canada now
That navy blue blazer! 😍😍😍😍 also, this video is 👌🏻
I'm packing a carry on for 3 weeks and I am going to both warm places and a cold climate and I fit everything and I have enough clothes to not re use anything or have to do laundry and I'm bringing 5 pairs of shoes!! In every single video I've seen of yours, you're wearing this map shirt. I think it looks really cool, where did you get it?
Great ideas as always for rookie and experienced travelers alike!! I like your 🌍 map by the way!!!
She's so helpful!
you can get travel sized deodorants at Dollar Tree, Walgreen's, CVS, 5 and Below and more stores.
I just packed for 3 weeks in a carryon.. just gonna do laundry :)

Nadine , you just opened up nadine for us xD
Hey could you do a tutorial on how you make the mini iron wave your hair?? Please? I just bought one!
The lovely Away carry-on is a heavy brand - at 7lb (3.175kg) it’s almost half the carry-on weight allowance for many airlines.
Love your videos so much Nadine
Hi, thanks for sharing. very useful. just wondering where do you normally put a small handbag for out about or a clutch for night out.
Where did you buy your stuff sacks / storage bags?
i managed to go 2 weeks with a carry on the size of your camera bag...you just really need to know what items are essential and what you can make do without
I love your shirt! Where did you get it?!
wonderful tips!
0:06 CHRY ON *voice dying * lol its so funny when ur voice dies xd great vid !
I think it is called a pass through pocket, to attach to the suitcase handle. I am not sure
Hi Nadine, what is the make/brand name of your waterproof see through case/toiletry bag? Thank you
Hey Nadine, when you take the tote on plane, do they make you put it in the overhead, and if so doesn't the camera slide out of its camera pockets? How do you cure that so the camera does get banged around.
I'm planning a 3-4 week trip also just using a carry-on.
The Nadine bag looks awesome but I still prefer the Langly backpack that you used previously. :)
I absolutely love your shirt!! where did you get it?
I really loved your Tshirt. Can you please tell me where did you buy it from??
Wow, girls pack a lot of stuff!
lol
Yup. And we need it all😂😁
I did one month in a Carry on. It was hard but I managed!
Love your videos. Is Liquid Lipstick supposed to go on the TSA see through bag or not? Same for mascara. I'm traveling soon and just taking a carry on and I'd love to know.
Absolutely grate video
Thank you so much 👍🏻☺️
Your tshirt is so so sooo cute!!! Where did you get it?
Люблю смотреть ваши видео!
I need help from the expert!! I need to fit 18 days in the Mediterranean in a carry on. This was really helpful, but could you recommend some products/fabrics to make that even possible? Or mix and match outfits? Thanks so much!!
P. S. Your videos always give me such wanderlust ❤️
+MissFilmIndustry silk!!!! Silk fabrics . Avoid cotton and jeans, they take up the most room
I just finished up a 12 day trip in Europe and I mostly reused pants (1 pair of jeans and 3 shorts). Also, the airbnbs/hostels I was staying in had a washer (although dryers seemed rare, they had drying racks) and so I brought some tide pods.
Can you just wash your stuff once or twice? Because then doing 18 days in a carry on is no problem ;)
for 18 days, just pack a bit of detergent and fabrics that dry quickly and are suitable for the climate and only take clothes for a week that you can wash in your hotel sink. for toileteries, I personally always pack solids. Cool beg! You can always a Canadian with the word bag ;)
-Brad
I really need to ask.... where did you get your t shirt??😍
loved the video. Where do you get the small mess bag the ones to carry underclothes in. and that sleeve to carry the camera in? Please share. Arelis
Is that the Away Carry-on or the Bigger Carry-on? If it's the Bigger Carry-on have you ever had issues on international travels? Thanks.
Thank you SO MUCH, very helpful! :-)
