As for me, had the OP included an IP68 (Which all flagships should have, period), it would have become automatically my choice over the Ultra. But the Ultra will give you 7 gens of Android updates, on system AI, top of the line camera which will only become better with updates, top of the line display (personally do love how Curved displays look but they are definitely not practical, very hard to put a screen protector on, much easier to break than flat, ghost touches, etc), top of the line speakers and also the S-Pen which makes the experience so much better. Obviously, this is a comparison that many RUclips reviewers are making. Still, the OnePlus 12 is really set up to rival Samsung somewhere between the plus and the ultra models. In other words, it has higher specs than the s24 plus but, it's not quite as Stout as the ultra. Of course, the main selling point of the ultra is the stylus pen. If you don't need the s pen then why bother spending the extra money? Especially, since Samsung has given the plus models some much needed upgrades this year. Personally, I would purchase the plus over the ultra. That being said, I decided to pre-order the OnePlus 12. I've been using its predecessor the 11 since last year and I love it. In fact, it's one of the smoothest devices that I've ever owned. I'm really looking forward to the refinements of the 12. As a legally blind low vision user, the added screen brightness is a big selling point to me. I also wanted to point out that OnePlus only remove the alert slider on one oddball T variant a couple of years ago. Once more, they only did it to make room internally for the advanced charging technology. It was never going to be the new standard on any other device. In fact, the OnePlus 10 pro feature the alert slider. In addition, the OnePlus 11 also had it. Simply put, the controversy over the missing alert slider was really much to do about nothing.
It definitely would, if you actually use a phone for 7 years. But I think average user tends to change their device after 3-4 years of usage. And then again you can't possibly get the same battery health after 7 years of usage☹️.
Why is the audio going Wobbble Wobbble Wobbllee?? Did you use some weird noice cancelling processing for your voice? This is like the 'audio version' of a warp stabilizer of videos.
More brightness means faster burn in effect, so I wouldn't recommend that. You don't need it unless you're under direct sunlight. Be careful with both of these.

Good video , but I think people would be looking at the S24 plus (not Ultra) or the Onplus 12 when deciding which phone to get .
The s24 plus is best, but the oneplus 12r is a good choice
Yes I'm way behind the times with my one + 8
But my last 3 phones have all been a progression in the 1 + range
The 1 +8 that I currently have always works flawlessly and as such I will probably always go down the 1+ route
Thanks for the comparison though good to watch
Id probably go OP12 because its just about as good and costs £350 less. Plus you dont have to worry about all that Samsung Bloatware thats preinstalled and that cant be uninstalled....

Samsung s24 ultra was a failure. Samsung s23 ultra is much better overall as a Mobile.Between Oneplus 12 and Samsung s24 ultra I would prefer Oneplus.
@@MusicMan-c9o unfortunately for you, it turns out that the S24 Ultra is THE most successful S-series phone of all time if we see sales and pre-bookings across the world. I do think that the OnePlus 12 makes it look overpriced as hell, true. But people will pay more for Samsung.... not so much for the OnePlus. Answer me this, how many people actually bought the OnePlus Open, despite it being rated as 'the best' foldable (a statement I agree with btw) of all time? Brand value does matter too unfortunately.
I do hope OnePlus can keep challenging Samsung though, those prices need to come down lol.
What about OP screen issues ? Green lines / green tint screens , did they fix it ? I have a bad experience with OP8 pro and company not even willing to fix it for me ...
Right now the S24 is having screen issues, check out the complaints and coverage.. crazy.

He did talk about the display and less glare btw. What he didn't discuss is the low brightness performance of the OnePlus, it refreshes the screen significantly faster in low brightness 2160hz vs 240hz which helps reduce eyestrain. S24 not the CLEAR winner. Pun intended.
Great review bud, I actually pre-order the Oneplus 12, going to sell my S23U. You were hands on with the Spen & Sam.Dex which for me I never use at all & once in awhile I use my Spen. I loved the On7P so going back to Oneplus, the 12 is looking fantastic BUT I'm being realistic with myself & not exactly expecting it to be better than my S23 (which I do love) or the S24. But the overall feeling that ONEPLUS has just feels so much better lol. I would say the S23U/24U are S tier & Oneplus 12 is A tier but I'm fine with that 👌🏽
Are the bezels on the One Plus 12 symmetrical? Seems like the bottom bezel is larger than the top bezel right?
It is slightly greater but it decreased size in comparison with the previous models
@@mml4544oddly enough the 12R has smaller and more equal sized bezels on the top and bottom

Hello, for the execution tests and benchmarks, did the one plus 12 have the high performance option turned on? It is disabled by default to improve battery life. This option can be found in the battery configuration options. , kind regards.
As of 3/4/24 here in the USA I got the OP12 for $749 AND the OP Watch 2 for $99....that's $150 off the phone (with Trade-in) & $200 off for the watch (when bundled together) that's less than $1K for the 16GB ram / 512g storage with the OP Watch 2...hard to find a better deal right now.

@FalconGamers_FG I have been a user of OP since op 3. I will agree that it unleashes power, but I know that after some point, it just gets a bit slower with multiple lags. On the other hand, I have been a user of the S23U since last year, and I can say that with every update, it gets better. Trust me, I am not lying.
