One plus did a great job with this device and very surprised at the cameras as in the past that was a problem for them. For me I prefer the slightly wider flat display on the samsung and of course as a die hard former note user (since note 2) the Spen clinches it. That said if they would release the white 1tb op 12 in canada id probably pick one up also because they are relatively inexpensive compared to the S24 ultra.

    • @ki-zu
      @ki-zu 11 месяцев назад +1

1tb option is limited to china-exclusive versin. I got my OP12 white with 24gb ram 1tb storage for 960€
It was region locked, but the shop place i bought directed me to a guy and he region-unlocked it, now i have 0 issues, i run OxygenOS and did even do a 1 OTA update with no issue, official, non-rooted, bootloader locked & widewine not triggered, google pay works.
Satisfied, go for it. The camera however on the OP12 is somewhat on-par to S23 Ultra, i think S24 Ultra has a slight better camera and AI on camera to fill-up and make it cleaner & more clarity as well.

How are the OP12 photos with a very bright background? Eg. Photo of a person with the sun behind them? Or a photo of people, inside, in front of a window on a bright day?
My s23 Ultra really washes out the subject. My old s22 Ultra did too. I owned the Pixel 8 Pro, and it was much better for this, but had other (day to day usage) problems.
I've heard the OP12 is more like the Pixel in photo processing, and I was wondering if that extends to this challenging use case.
Also any reliability / glitch / bug problems with the OP12?

    • @glennmurray966
      @glennmurray966 Месяц назад +1

@@Playerwhodoesntexist That's a big question with no real short answer, but I'll try.
      CAMERA
Very close, but I'd give the edge to the Pixel for point and shoot. I think the OP12 and S23 Ultra are about even, overall.
      VOICE TYPING
Pixel by far, because it uses Google Assistant. Really the only thing I miss about the Pixel.
      BIOMETRICS
OP12 by far. The others aren't even in the same ballpark.
      BATTERY / CHARGING
      OP12 by far.
      RELIABILITY / USER-FRIENDLINESS
OP12 for me. I always found the Pixel glitchy and the Samsung clunky. The OP12 is very fluid.
      SPEED
      OP12
      CASE AVAILABILITY
      Samsung, then Pixel, then OP.
      MEDIA CONSUMPTION
Samsung, because it retains focus on the media app. You can listen to something at night, go to sleep, get up, turn your headphones on and just press play. The phone remembers what you were listening to. The Pixel and OP can't do that.
      BLUETOOTH SIGNAL
      Samsung.
      ANDROID AUTO
OP12 and Samsung are much better than Pixel.
      CUSTOMISATION
OP12 or Samsung. OP12 has screen-off gestures that are great. Samsung has a lot more customisation options than both OP and Pixel, but I didn't find much use for t hem.
Overall, I'd say the OP12 is the best all-rounder of the three. I still use it and have no regrets (and could easily switch back to the s23u, as I still have it).

You could have compared it to something at the same price range like Samsung s24+... S24 ultra is a phone that you would really intentionally buy because of its prestige... Just comparing 24+ against ultra, you'd even say, "i'd go for 24+ because it's cheaper and it offers almost the same as the ultra unless you want the 5x optical zoom and the stylus..." See how stupid that sounds like?

Hey, great video! But I would give an advice.
I don't know the percentage of non-english speakers that watch your videos, but for exemple I'm french.
My skills in english are enough to mostly understand the video without having to put subtitles (which is cool ngl).
But I still can struggle a bit at some points like for the numbers you say.
For example at 4:30 you give a number and say "26 hundreds". Well that's pretty hard to get it at first and I had to replay this section 2 times before really understanding it.
It mays sound a bit weird cuz numbers are probably a normal thing to understand for you. But for a non-native english speaker it's way more difficult.
So if you could just write the number you're saying down in the video so people like me could better get the stats that you're telling, it would be great :)
    Thank!

Like any purchase, a car, a TV, a phone, one will not get every single option they want but will be happy with the product in general. Don't really get the dissatisfaction with the curved edge screen. I do like how it sits in my hand with the smooth corners as noted by Tech Tablets. Overall the specs., options, battery superiority, screen brightness, cool operation really puts the OP12 right there with the Apple 15 and Galaxy S24 Ultra with perhaps a few misc. misses. Granted I have been a Oneplus user for a while. I just traded in my Oneplus 10pro and Oneplus 11 and purchased 2 Oneplus 12 units for a net total of $900 and change here in the U.S. How sweet it is.

That is a color sensor. You might have noticed, the colour of our skin and all changes, in photos, under different lighting conditions. This sensor helps in solving it. It is supposed to bring consistency in colour reproduction. Short answer: 'colour accuracy'. But we need to see how well OnePlus is able to utilise this sensor. The sensor is powerful but if the camera software is not properly optimised then it's of no use.

For a fair comparison you need to have a 4x4 access point as the phones have 2x2 antenas. So each phone must connect to unique antennas on the router/AP.

With the price 799 usd in the usa the OP12 is a great choice but in the EU the OP12 is around 1100 eur and the s24 ultra is the better choice.
