    One plus did a great job with this device and very surprised at the cameras as in the past that was a problem for them. For me I prefer the slightly wider flat display on the samsung and of course as a die hard former note user (since note 2) the Spen clinches it. That said if they would release the white 1tb op 12 in canada id probably pick one up also because they are relatively inexpensive compared to the S24 ultra.

    • @ki-zu
      @ki-zu 3 месяца назад +1

      1tb option is limited to china-exclusive versin. I got my OP12 white with 24gb ram 1tb storage for 960€
      It was region locked, but the shop place i bought directed me to a guy and he region-unlocked it, now i have 0 issues, i run OxygenOS and did even do a 1 OTA update with no issue, official, non-rooted, bootloader locked & widewine not triggered, google pay works.
      Satisfied, go for it. The camera however on the OP12 is somewhat on-par to S23 Ultra, i think S24 Ultra has a slight better camera and AI on camera to fill-up and make it cleaner & more clarity as well.

    Today I compared 10x zoom of both of them in evening (low and artificial light) in store. While both produced almost equal detail, the S24U had noticably more noise than OP12. As a S22U owner I was stunned. Both are incredibly close in specs and experience including camera. And joke of it all is I am getting OP12 at almost the same price as the value I am getting for my S22U in second hand market 😅

    • @adaml.5355
      @adaml.5355 4 месяца назад +13

      I don't get the hate on the OnePlus cameras. In every camera comparison I see the OnePlus easily surpasses the competitors in color science. The detail and sharpness is also better than the S24 phones in everyday photography. Yet people continue to call the cameras a weak point on OnePlus. Samsung cameras always look considerably worse than the status quo, and yet people praise them. So which is it Samsung fans? You can't hate the competition's cameras when the S24 looks worse in blind tests.
      I mean look at the orange pasty wax skin tones in daylight or the horrible blue noise in night time shots. The S24 Ultra took hideous shots.

    • @kaiserfakinaway5909
      @kaiserfakinaway5909 4 месяца назад +11

      @@adaml.5355 I understand you, but you have to understand. If people hate on Samsung, the reviewers I mean, they likely won't get more free samples, so they must fanboy around. Additionally if they support the company they get more people in the "hype train", as a result they can create more videos for that phone and make people think they're great. It's especially prominent in the US, people are told to think things instead of letting themselves be the judge. Ben sin and Chris are some of the only non biased people. Mrwhosetheboss used to be great but now he's just a shill, he used to check out fun and cool phones but he doesn't anymore, for example look at how he forgot about the Vivo X90 Pro and the X100 Pro when he used to be a "fan" of those phones when Vivo sponsored him to review those phones. Back then Vivo was only good so they needed to sponsor people and now that they're actually great he doesn't give a sh*t. Unbiased reviews are just one in a million nowadays, Flossy Carter is a real one for that kind of stuff.
      CNET and other tech outlets complain about Oneplus's cameras but if the same cameras were put on an S series phone they'd have praised it because they make up their own mind before they review. "S24 Ultra is basically perfect", just wow. No phone is perfect I know but no imperfect phone is more praised than the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the S23 Ultra/the S24 Ultra. Kind of sickening to see this circle j*rk.

    How are the OP12 photos with a very bright background? Eg. Photo of a person with the sun behind them? Or a photo of people, inside, in front of a window on a bright day?
    My s23 Ultra really washes out the subject. My old s22 Ultra did too. I owned the Pixel 8 Pro, and it was much better for this, but had other (day to day usage) problems.
    I've heard the OP12 is more like the Pixel in photo processing, and I was wondering if that extends to this challenging use case.
    Also any reliability / glitch / bug problems with the OP12?

    Hey, great video! But I would give an advice.
    I don't know the percentage of non-english speakers that watch your videos, but for exemple I'm french.
    My skills in english are enough to mostly understand the video without having to put subtitles (which is cool ngl).
    But I still can struggle a bit at some points like for the numbers you say.
    For example at 4:30 you give a number and say "26 hundreds". Well that's pretty hard to get it at first and I had to replay this section 2 times before really understanding it.
    It mays sound a bit weird cuz numbers are probably a normal thing to understand for you. But for a non-native english speaker it's way more difficult.
    So if you could just write the number you're saying down in the video so people like me could better get the stats that you're telling, it would be great :)
    Thank!

Like any purchase, a car, a TV, a phone, one will not get every single option they want but will be happy with the product in general. Don't really get the dissatisfaction with the curved edge screen. I do like how it sits in my hand with the smooth corners as noted by Tech Tablets. Overall the specs., options, battery superiority, screen brightness, cool operation really puts the OP12 right there with the Apple 15 and Galaxy S24 Ultra with perhaps a few misc. misses. Granted I have been a Oneplus user for a while. I just traded in my Oneplus 10pro and Oneplus 11 and purchased 2 Oneplus 12 units for a net total of $900 and change here in the U.S. How sweet it is.
