- The beef and broccoli stir-fry with a Chinese CHAR SIU twist! | Marion’s Kitchen
Everything about this stir-fry screams epic: the charred, melt-in-your-mouth beef. The sticky, sweet and rich homemade char siu sauce. The crunchy yet tender broccoli. Better yet, it all comes together quickly, so you don’t even have to save this divine dish for special occasions - whip it out on weeknights, then sit back and watch the satisfied smiles descend. You can totally use store-bought char siu instead with this Chinese recipe, but I promise you the extra step to make your own (and it’s literally just a case of bunging ingredients in a bowl and mixing them) and absolutely worth going the extra mile. Seek out maltose and red fermented tofu from an Asian grocery store, as they totally maketh the dish. This is one beef and broccoli stir-fry you need on repeat!

Everything you do is magic Marion! I often wonder how you can work on a video and then go home and cook up dinner for your family or do you get to carry the stuff he cooked on your video home for your family? So much good info and great cooking technique!

Say no more, Marion! I'm making this recipe!
This looks so good! I don't have the funky tofu though... I wonder if I could substitute with gochujang for the colour... maybe a little fish sauce or shrimp paste for the funk?
Hi Marion. Love your show, so inspirational. One problem that I personally have is sugar and carbs, currently I need to cut them out. Is there anything I can use to replace the sugar element? Thanks. Phil.
This recipe looks ridiculously tasty!😋😋😋
i have to make this ! this week
I’m a nut for beef and broccoli, so my wife and I will be working this one for sure

I also love broccoli 😌
Delicious food 🥝🥝🥑🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝
That looks so good! Do you have a Korean Galbi or Kalbi recipe?
It looks absolutely delicious. I'll be right over. You keep your broccoli so green fresh and beautiful. You know what instead of using ribeyes I often use Chuck eye steaks. I'm in Iowa, USA and we can get Chuck eyes thank you so much for your cooking lessons. I have learned lots and lots from watching you and love your food 👏👏🎉 thank you, thank you ❤️
Actually I just filmed a Test Kitchen Beef Stir-fry video and the chuck steak out performed some of the more expensive cuts!!
Hello MArion, can you do a content on your kitchen essentials. And any tips for beginners?
Hi marion.would golden syrup be a good substitute for the Maltose x
Delicious
I love it
Hi Marion greetings from India Mumbai.. Just wanted to ask can i substitute gochuchang paste iso fermented tofu
This looks delicious. I'll probably leave out the red food colouring, though.
🤤
So classic
The best part of f the broccoli are the stems
💛💛💛💛
I just wanted to ask about the bicarb soda... i always rinse my meat after I put it on .. doesnt it give a bitter taste ? Thanks
If I can't find maltose... Can we substitute honey?
Yes you can :-)
Can I switch the maltose for honey? 😊
Hi Marion!
Got a black screen
But can hear you just fine
Nice one
💝💝💝💝
Is the Maltose necessary?
I have the red tofu! I think.. its red..and broad bean?? I bought make recipe by Souped Up Recipes .prob char siu. Lol
One of the few things my mother and I agree on is that broccoli is ok but cauliflower is better.
Not me thinking “if the maltose is that solid when cool, wide she get it INTO the bowl in the first place!?
Heat to get it into the bowl, and heat AGAIN ato get it out!? Lol
Yummmmm
yummo
Marion, what are dishes to use fish sauce in
Check out some of her Thai curry recipies and also some of her Vietnamese recipes with Nuoc Cham sauce.
Sister,,,, Instead of Beef can I use Mutton ???
What can be a good substitute for people don't like alcohol in their food?
What knife is that you are using to cut up the meat?
Marion's using Miyabi knife in this video 😊 Hope this helps! -Team Marion's Kitchen
I would have to hide all that sugar in the sauce from the wife. She watches my health better than me…
Substitute allulose! She won't know the difference.
filipino Bicol Express Please
Please Tell us alternative ingredients of wine and bacon to fix the recepie because we don't use Bacon and wine.
Thanks
Love this, but could do without the food coloring, feels a bit healthier without it and when mixing it looked like red blood 😱! Do you have any recommendations on some lower carb recipes? This one had a lot of sugars in the salt. I just finished your soy sauce chicken which was fabulous
You can use beet root powder to give it the red color.
Kk
No. Just, no. This is an unbalanced dish. The beef was great. The noodles, what can I say? Great. The broccoli turned out inedibly sweet. We both gagged. No one bats a thousand and we love you, but, Marion, please rework this recipe. It’s just bad.
Love the recipes but your recipes are too long IMO. When I print them I want 2-page max length. Single page front and back. Especially this one where its 4 pages with just a half-paragraph on the 4th page. Something to consider
I havent
way too much salt and sugar
Have you tries it? Probably not
Is that beef cooked???
