Use to go here all the time when I lived in the area. I remember when it opened. I also remember when a old couple crashed their car through the front entrance and into the escalators
seeing this mall fall apart is so heartbreaking. spent some of the best memories here in the 2000s. the food was actually good too. last time i went there was a few years ago and i never realized until then just how dead it is
Even though I've always lived out of state, I used to go to the area frequently to see family. Used to go to this mall all the time. Saw many movies and shopped there from 1998-2003 or so. It's sad to see it falling off the way it is. The Levi's outlet there is still awesome. Ill always grab a pair of pants when I go in.
Was just there on the weekend. What you have is great for that time. There is nothing there now.
I remember going there in the mid 90s and seeing Space Jam at the movie theater, I also remember there being an Oshkosh Bgosh there and a Big Dog store. I dont think malls will ever be as big as they once were, but it's sad to see a place I knew growing up become so barren.
I only go there for the Bank of America ATM near the bottom floor east entrance.
It wouldn't be a dead mall without a Bath & Bodyworks.
Hard to believe this place is struggling considering its location, I mean just wow! Liked n Subbd your channel
I'm waiting for zombies to come around the corner
Hahahahaha
Omg I've been there. That mall is so dead, even the theater they have there looks like it's from the 90's
They are collecting a ton of insurance on those empty stores!
Once I saw those generic banners at the entrance, I knew this was a Moonbeam mall. Moonbeam has to be one of, if not the worst mall operator in America. They let the malls they buy fall into disrepair while making promises of redevelopment that never happen. Maybe their other types of properties do better, they have to make money somehow.
i was gonna say it would make more sense to put the food court upstairs, so that anyone coming in to just get a bite to eat would have to at least walk past the shops... but it doesn't look like anyone is going there to eat either.
Makes total sense. It would force the customers to go into the mall just to get to the food. If I was to design a mall I would put the high traffic areas in the center and make it to where you have to walk past shops just to get there.
I live in bullhead for the past 3 yrs and finding hard to find a decent place to shop for a stylist dress jeans, etc.found out this mall but never been here just pass by when we went for a buffet in the casinos I really miss the big shopping malls in my country the Philippines and in hongkong.here I just shop in goodwill or Walmart .
Myrah R. Reichert Bullhead could use a Jollibee!!!!
I use to come here when many stores were open and the Food Court was crowded with people. Laughlin was flourishing back then. I still come here but it's not the same..sad to say. I have been coming here now for almost 35 years or more. I couldn't live here (or in Vegas) because of the extreme heat, even with AC. Although I have stayed at virtually EVERY hotel here, I call the Coloradobelle Hotel Casino my MAIN base..****
**** Four Stars
Good video. Thanks for filming.
“Dawn of the Dead” ⛅️ 💀 ☠️ 🧟♂️ 🧟
People go to Laughlin to gamble an party, not so much anymore to shop.
I remember going here as a kid. Riding around in the little cars. Playing in the arcade, seeing movies, and trick or treating there. When spiderman 2 came out there was a guy dressed as spiderman on the roof that came down and gave us web shooters. And I had a dream I was walking on some high beam there. That was creepy XD
If the owners of the building would stop trying to raise the rent all the time it would may be have more stores. It's so sad to see it go down.
we went in this mall a few years ago and it was a graveyard then.
I bought a pair of raybans here a few years back it was amazing not having anyone there
Good vid.
Hi, I have a question that would be nice if you can reply to me.. did you see a store in there the sold things like Buddha’s. Statues, and painting etc.. years ago there was one there.. I wanted to know if it is still there.. I forgot the name..
I always got to Laughlin with my siblings every year for a get away and we've seen it lose more stores every year we go.
Also, always thought it was weird that the food court was the entire 1st floor and everything else on the 2nd. Weird design choice, IMHO.
At least theres a low risk of corona virus👍👍👍
Everyone's at the tables trying to get their money back.
This place use to be busy in the early 2000's. What is going on with Laughlin NV? Poor marketing???
I went there in 2017. I counuted no more than 20 people there. Pretty sad looking
Been to that mall, recommendations: dont go in the morning, but wait til the afternoon, then you will see a difference..occasionally on different days, just not on certain holdiays. Btw I love the colorado belle woo wish I could go back to Laughlin, I miss the heat and the mini concerts they have by the river
This is sooo sad my friend just went to their yearly trip to Laughlin and said the machines are so tight and so much changed just from a years time that we feel it’s becoming a ghost town and they are trying to hang onto their money as long as possible 😔 super sad especially since Vegas thinks it’s ok to come so expensive these days !
Why you do in Nevada you only do ariZona
Most of the malls and places I film are in AZ but I do have a few out of state. A to Z retail and AZ the state are unrelated. It’s just a coincidence
I 'member
From what I know the Colorado Belle is now closed not to reopen? I liked the poker room, there aren’t many in Laughlin.
Correct. The Colorado Belle is closed. I stayed there in 2018. Pretty cool place. I had a lot of fun in Laughlin and as you saw the outlet center was very quiet.
The gap store here was awesome always found good deals while it was there
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory @ 7:45 is actually going out of business at the end of the month. No surprise.
I bet somebody could get a calculus degree if they could figure out how many years it take to get all the spit out gum off the sidewalks in Laughlin
The reason this mall is failing is because they want to charge an arm and a leg for rent. So its dying out. I just go to Vegas anyways.
Don’t eat there no telling how old the food may be.
So what happened with this mall? I mean it’s dead but not super dead. It almost seemed like they were hiding and decided to come back out. Do you have any history on this mall at all?
I found history on the mall but mainly just the prior name and the opening date. I’m not local to the city so I don’t know a lot. There wasn’t much about the mall online. At least I got the place on video to make up for the lack of info.
Mall Fantasy Oh yes I’m appreciative, I was just wondering is all.
CeCe W A lot if it has to do with casinos. Before San Diego git casinos, Laughlin was the place to go. In the past ten years Gap, Rebock, Dress Barn, Easy Spirit, Gymboree, a souvenir store, the perfume store, Kay Jewelers, Rockford Shoes, Styles For Less have all closed down. The movie theater is really nice. The food court at one time had a McDonald's and a Dairy Queen. The Quicksilver store has been closed for months. The store directly in front of the escalators was filled once as a Disney outlet, it lasted a skinny minute.
Thanks for that update. I used to live up the hill in the residential area west and past the power plant by Aldape's Market back when the mall was being built and Laughlin was hoppin a bit as you said. Was working at Ramada Express when the second tower opened.
I've been a regular visitor to Laughlin since 1989. At the time it was probably a good idea, because Riverside, Tropicana, Edgewater and Harrah's had just added more rooms and what is now Aquarius had just opened. But between the economy going south and the Indian casinos in Southern California that just brought doom.
Three things will survive the zombie apocalypse; cockroaches, Cher, and Bath & BodyWorks
Don't forget about GNC lol.
You forgot Keith Richards.
So sad..
Dead mall indeed
The shopping was poor even in the 80s
Funny you mention that because this mall didn’t exist in the 80s. So it’s as if it was destined to fail from the beginning.
My ex wife opened one of the first stores in that mall in 1996. This was right after we got married and what prompted us to move to Laughlin. The mall was booming when it first opened. We didn’t last but a year in Laughlin. Fun place to visit, terrible place to live. Maybe it has changed.
im waiting for this mall to become abandoned its so dead barely anyone shops there anymore and mostly everyone shops online these days
Sad
Soon to be condos.
Yeah its dead
Covid !!!!
Look harder.
The mall is not dead, just they open really late.
Sorry, this mall is the deadest mall I've ever seen, morning, noon or night. Each year more stores close. It is a depressing place. Lastly, tell us what time you think this video was taken?
Early May of 2018 was when I was there.
@@AtoZRetail I was just there last month, 2pm on a Thursday (on a sunny calm day), and there were less customers in the outlet center than were seen in your video, maybe even half as many!
Not good business sense to try and compete with casino shops, food,entertainment/////////////////////////////
