Is Laughlin Nevada Worth Visiting ?

- We, @sleeplessinlasvegas, visited Laughlin Nevada on November 29, 2020 to check out the Hotels and Casinos and look for Things To Do. We also wanted to see the Colorado Belle Hotel and Casino and take some pictures in case it gets torn down. In this video we visit the following resorts, however; we weren’t allowed to film inside.
The two things we did find “To Do” were the Water Taxi Ride and the Don Laughlin Classic Car Museum.

Hey I was driving that water taxi.
You are an awesome Captain, Captain Doug , funny and informative
I'll see you next month Doug! Lol
Hey Doug
Are you available on the 14 of may?
@@dannydiazdeleon6190 no I only drive on Saturday Sunday and Monday currently but we have a lot of great captains. If you're here that Friday night I would look for Captain Aaron.
Best part of going to Laughlin, is driving at night and seeing all the stars between Vegas and Laughlin
@Steve Gold, I have to agree about the nighttime drive and the sheer amount of stars. Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Holidays
You must have missed the reflection of the casinos off of the Colorado River.
The river is probably the best attraction in Laughlin, it's definitely not that shopping mall haha. You guys did really well to showcase Laughlin best side. well done
Thanks Kenzo 🙏🏽 was the Mall on the same side of the street as the Tropicana?
Things to do in the Laughlin/Bullhead City area: boat or jet ski on the Colorado River, take your off-road vehicle onto the dirt roads on BLM land to the west of Laughlin (such as the Christmas Tree Pass road), find out which days the craft market is open in the riverside park in Bullhead City (western themed wall art made of metal or wood, leather belts, homemade jams and salsas....), fuel your vehicle on the Bullhead City side of the river, get your essentials at the Bullhead City Wal-Mart, RV camping and riverside picnic pavilions at the Bend of the Colorado State Park (Laughlin side of the river), go to the BLM office in Laughlin and check out the latest info on outdoor recreational things to do on BLM land and get a tacky tourist t-shirt or ball cap or bumper sticker at a gas station or casino gift shop in either Laughlin or Bullhead city.
@Linda Wright, wow thank you for a lot of Fun and great information on Things To Do. I really appreciate your well written and throughout response.
HI Guys, I worked there in 2007. Student Visa. In the Colorado Belle like a busser and in the Aqaurius Hotel like a runner. Great Memories!!! Best Regards from Poland :)
Hi Adam, thanks for watching and commenting. How long did you work in Laughlin? What did you do for fun? I appreciate you sharing your memories
Wow, so I used to go to Laughlin every summer with my parents growing up. We tried to stay in every hotel over the years, it was our tradition. Because of my parents health we stopped going but this video took me back for a moment; to a better time. Thank you so much for documenting this place, it might be older but the memories are the most cherished of my childhood.
Also, the Riverside river cruises was a great way to get history and information on Laughlin! I'm not certain if they are still in operation but I remember the captain saying that Don Laughlin used one of the ships from Disneyland and repurposed it for the boat cruise!
Thank you so much for sharing your memories of Laughlin. when we were there, the Riverside Cruise wasn’t available, which is why we went with the Water Taxi and our Captain was awesome
Same but I’m still in my child hood
@@iirawrxx6223 I love Laughlin does not have to be totally swanky like Vegas
During my 38 years as an OTR truck driver (retiring in 2015) I’ve been to Laughlin many times and NEVER tire of it! Most of my visits were the days BEFORE commercial trucks were routed around Hoover Dam! ...and, even BEFORE the bridge was built from Bullhead City, on the Arizona side, to Laughlin! I loved going across the dam at 15mph and taking in the sites! I hate that the Colorado Belle is closing for good after so many visits there over the years...at least I’ll have my memories. I just pray the Riverside never shuts down in my lifetime. I’m hoping for a return to Laughlin very soon when I finally get to go full time living out the rest of my life on the road! It’ll be my first die-hard trip to endeavor after visiting my brother in Casa Grande, Az starting from from Houston, Texas. Looking forward to the route up through Wickenburg,Az, up to I-40, and, then west to Kingman, Az, and lastly the 38 mile trek on into Bullhead City, Az and Laughlin, Nv! I prefer Laughlin over Las Vegas 100%. Imo, Vegas is over rated and greed from the casinos is much more than it should be. Not to mention the city being over crowded by tourists thus causing crime to be uncontrollable. Have a great day everyone and God Bless!
Thank you for taking the time to share your memories of traveling the roads. I enjoyed watching your videos and God Bless you, too.
The Riverside also has a movie theater, bowling alley, and arcade.
Used to go there as a kid
Thank you @Paola Zamora, the Riverside definitely has everything you need for a fun stay and never have to leave the Resort. Thank you for watching and commenting, and Happy Holidays.
Just wanted to thank you for this video. I haven’t been to Laughlin since I was a child. Seeing places my parents took me as a child, now that they’ve long since passed, was great. ♥️
Thank you for watching and especially sharing, I appreciate it.
I have lived and worked in Las Vegas for 20+ years and lived and worked in Laughlin for 3 years back in the day. When I was 14/15 I first came to Laughlin in 1989. Wow, it was in a Boom phase. Very crowded and every casino was going through expansion. Totallly different back then. There was even plans to build 3 or 4 more Casino Resorts down the river from Harrah's. But in the mid 90's both Ca.and Az. ratified their gaming compacts with their perspective States and brought in "Vegas" style gaming to their Casinos. This is the real reason Laughlin went into a decline. Laughlin's 2 biggest markets(Socal and Phoenix) expanded their casinos into very nice Resorts/places to gamble..........so why go all the way to Laughlin and the 120 deg. heat? The river still attracts people, snowbirds still flock there for the winter. I still visit as a cheap getaway. It's laid back, mostly senior(especially in the winterime) cheaper place to relax. But i do hate that they brought Resort Fees to Laughlin. last thing this town needs.
@ HGR Southwest. First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to leave an outstanding comment. That must've been a sight to behold back in the "boom" phase. I forgot about the Legislation and rise of the Indian Gaming Casinos in CA and AZ, which makes sense as to why these once-popular gaming towns have dwindled. It's definitely more picturesque than Las Vegas, especially with the Colorado River. I'm planning to head back in the Spring, when it's not too hot, and check out the rest of Laughlin and the surrounding area. I appreciate you watching and commenting, please have a Happy Holiday Season.
Ted's knock off McRib!!! 😂😂😂 I actually stayed at The Harrah's when I went to Laughlin and it was 1 step up from a 4 Queens room 😆😆😆 I did the time change double New Years Celebration thing in 2000 👍 Really GREAT work, you're making it seem nicer than it really is by only showing outdoor shots. The car museum is the only thing I memer about Laughlin, that and the fact my friend Jimmy was lost from the hours of 2am and 7am. Lmao!!! Love the new timeline graphics. SOLID WORK once again brother!!! BTW, the thumbnail DIDN'T make me wanna click. 😂😂😂
Well, I really didn’t give Ted the option to grab a bite anywhere else besides the AM/PM 🤣 At least you have some recollections of your visit to Laughlin. When you don’t like your content, throw in Overlays and Transitions 🤣🤣🤣. I couldn’t find a bikini-clad person on the beaches for my thumbnail 😁
Harrah's laughlin was a gem back in mid 90's.
It's a shame they let
it get run down. Always
enjoyed being right on
the river. So relaxing.
I wish I would’ve gone to Laughlin during the “boom” times, but going for the first time I at least had nothing to compare it to. Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy New Year
Beautiful drive over to Laughlin. Your videos are so organized! Awesome stuff. Dang that iscsome crazy restrictions. Beautiful views from the River. Great cinematography! I like the Pioneer. I've gambled there several times. Cool! I like old cars! Enjoyed the video! I gotta go Vlog with you guys soon!
Most definitely we need to do a collaboration. The Car Museum was a pleasant surprise at the end of a long day. We gambled/lost at the Golden Nugget
- I've never won anything at The Golden Nuggets on Fremont, so must be about the same. I will be going back to Virginia on the 17th, so maybe we can do some stuff in the New Year. I may go to Vegas this weekend. Was wanting to try out The Steak House at Circus Circus. Heard it was good
Oh nice. I’ve heard good things about the Circus Circus Steakhouse, too. A collaboration in early 2021 is probably realistic, so wishing you Safe Travels back to VA.
Love Laughlin! Whenever we’re in Vegas we take a day and drive out there. It’s just relaxing and slower paced than the strip. The views of the river are beautiful. There used to be an Elvis museum , but I can’t remember what hotel it was in.
I completely agree with you that it’s laid back, you don’t feel rushed unless you’re trying to hit all the Hotel Casinos in a day. I’m definitely going back and spend a day or two exploring both sides of the River.
You forgot to film a lot of things, that's probably a sign you were enjoying yourselves. Thank you for this. If I ever get back to Vegas, I now fancy a side trip to Laughlin
You’re right, as it was our first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect/vlog. There was about 10 minutes of footage that was edited out as it didn’t seem relevant, too. Laughlin is definitely worth visiting, if you ever make back to Vegas.
Very nice video! Thank you for giving us the history of each casino.
Hi Dee, thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it 🙏🏽. I had a lot more history of Laughlin recorded, but I didn’t want to make this a longer video.
Aww! I've been here! I'm glad I visited the bell before it closed down.
Did you go during the Summer? I heard it gets frickin' hot there and the flies are plentiful, too. BTW, I miss you.
I grew up going to Laughlin almost every weekend in the 70's. I watched that place go from one casino, the Riverside to what you see today. In fact we will be spending New Years Eve thru Monday camping in our travel trailer. CAN'T WAIT
Happy New Year
@Cindy-Lou Who, first of all I love your profile name. That sounds like a fun way to celebrate New Years. Do you camp at the Riverside RV Resort? I saw they have a nice RV Park. Do you go to the Arizona side to celebrate and then cross the river to celebrate on the Nevada side? Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Holidays
We Loved Laughlin when we were there a few weeks ago! Such a little gem!
I completely agree. I’ve been back several times I made this video and really enjoy Laughlin
Came out really good! It was funny that you said theres a link to where I live, i actually checked. Haha
I knew you would 🤣🤣🤣

It was a great success !! Definitely was a little eerie walking around due to COVID.
Almost a ghost town
I’m glad you enjoyed it, but I agree about how empty it feels. Did you ride the Water Taxi?
Hell YES IT IS!!!!
Agreed!!! I’ve been back 4 times and enjoy Laughlin and Bullhead City
Your cinematography is awesome!! Great shots!!
Thanks you so much for the compliment and I appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏🏽
I have stayed at Harrahs Laughlin twice. It is older. But no complaints. It was comped free. I absolutely luv Laughlin! The water taxis rides r so much fun.
Hi Debbie, thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it. I was told, in the comments, that the Laughlin River Lodge is the place to stay. I agree about the Water Taxis, that was a blast and our Captain was pretty funny, too
Day trips are fun! We stay in Laughlin every couple of months. Try the Grand Canyon Caverns, Eldorado Mine Tour, and Oatman!!
Thank you Peggy for watching and commenting. Those sound like great places to vlog, I appreciate it.
Wonderful place.. Beautiful roadtrip..have fun. Have a great weekend..
Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it. Also, have a GREAT Weekend, too.
Always wondered about this spot Laughlin NV. You gave a good break down on the different casinos. That classic car exhibit my hubby would love.
Thank you Penny. It’s such a juggling act to give enough information without going overboard and boring people to death. I don’t think my visit did Laughlin justice, so I plan to go back and spend at least a day or two exploring the area. The rates are really reasonable right now.
wow - you did a great job of filming a ghost town . We visited in 2005 - many places were run down then - Harrah's was nicest back then . Drive back to vegas
was strange as it was totally dark and very few cars on the road . Never see such total darkness like that before . Loved the video and your audio had something unique to it also.
Thanks Chris. My girlfriend didn’t want to go to Laughlin with me. She was there in 2002, spent a week and rarely won at the slots and table games. I agree how dark it is on the drive back to Vegas at night. Although the stars are plentiful. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏽
How are things on the ground in Vegas ? Where did all the unemployed casino workers go ? Casinos closed here in Illinois for 10 days now . Will likely be a month by the time the lock down ends here .
And Vegas numbers are worse than ours ... makes you wonder ..
@@LandCruiserMidwest Those are great questions and we really won’t know until things settle down. Some stats aren’t reflective, or published of what’s really happening, like Mortgage Defaults, Back Rent Owed to Landlords, True Unemployment Figures. I’m reluctant to believe our Real Estate is doing well. I have no hard facts, just speculation
It's always worth going if you are in need of a good Laugh!
Sorry....couldn't resist. Great job Alan. BigLike#4
A lot of people come to Laughlin from Vegas, for a change, for the river, the mountains, the views, the air, and of course, for the casinos. Come to Laughlin to laugh, or go to Vegas and cry.
Thanks @MrChiprocks1 I see what you did there, Laugh, Laughlin. I really need to go back and spend more time there instead of cramming it all in a 6 hour period. The river front is pretty cool and with Bullhead City and Oatman nearby, I need to do a Part 2
@@LasVegasandBeyond Looking forward to Part 2. Bring it on!
The island on 6:30 is where my parents got married at. I spent so much of my childhood in those casinos I'm glad you got to experience even if it's a little run down to you.
Thank you for sharing the wonderful memory. I’ve been back several times and have come to enjoy Laughlin and Bullhead City
The first time I came to Laughlin, NV./Old Bullhead, AZ. I said this is my kind of place. The Colorado River makes it unique and unmatchable. It’s a sleeping giant still waiting for entertainment ideas. Old Bullhead across the river from Harrah’s casino is already zoned commercial…awaiting the entrepreneurial mentality for success. The community park next to Old Bullhead, by Earl’s Castle, is undergoing major development.
Hi Art and thank you for your comment. I agree with you about the River making it a unique locale. I’ve recently been to Bullhead City and saw what you described.
I noticed you on the Other Me Video. Nice cameo. The Vegas bloggers keep everything entertaining. Nice tour, I need to visit Laughlin. Wow the pioneer club. Old Vegas.🧐
Thanks @kissy kat. Yeah, we try to vlog as a group on a weekly basis, schedules permitting. So, you’ll see us ( @sleeplessinlasvegas and @Straight Outta Vegas)on the others’ vlogs. The Pioneer Club is reminiscent of the Vegas version.
I loved ur vlog style and the little bit of history u put. Great job
Glad you enjoyed it! and Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it 🙏🏽
Great video, the car exhibit looks awesome. I’m sure if you go back in the mid summer it will be a totally different scene. They usually do the river run there in the summer. The heat level is insane it gets to like almost 120°
Thanks buddy. I definitely want to go back, but 120 degrees? Maybe I’ll go back in May, or June and checkout Bullhead City and some of the Water Sports
That was some really great filming good job! The Riverside has a movie theater with a full bar. And bowling alley. Take a 45-minute drive and you can visit Oatman Arizona an old mining town with donkeys running wild a lot of fun to see. There's plenty of affordable live shows to see at all casinos when not under lockdown. Thank you guys again really enjoyed watching now I'm ready for a trip to Laughlin.
Thanks @Rick Sanchez. I had so much I more information, but didn’t want to bore people. The Bowling Alley inside Riverside looked well maintained, too. It’s a shame the Live shows are still canceled. I’m definitely heading back when it’s warmer to checkout some water sports and Bullhead city, along with Oatman. Thanks for Stopping by, watching and Commenting 🙏🏽
Going this weekend thanks for the upload!
I hope you enjoy it!!! and thank you for watching and commenting.
Recently listed in Old Bullhead straight across the river from Harrah’s casino is a double Commercial lot for 118,000 on Long Ave. between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Great investment, the only thing better is Commercial lots between 1st and 2nd streets on Long Ave. Reason? The City of Bullhead are building a commercial launch ramp with an outlet on Long and First streets, completion set for summer of 2022.
Lol Ted at the beginning 😆 We haven't been to Laughlin before so this was cool to see your guys adventure there 👍 Fun road trip adventure!
I think you guys should spend a night there when you visit next. It’s a quick drive and the River front hotels are really cool
I love the views from the river. I've never been to Laughlin. So, this was great to see. Also You and Ted are fun together.
Ted’s a great guy and seems to bring out the best of the VCC
LITTLE FACT... Laughlin got it's name from the U.S. Post Office. Back in the 60's there was no Post office in Laughlin so there was no zip code. Any time the Riverside Casino or Don Laughlin (founder)got mail, the USPS just labled it Laughlin as a delivery / zip code. The name stuck.
Thank you Jennifer. I appreciate you sharing that tidbit of info. I actually had that in the original footage, but edited it to keep my video shorter. Thank you watching and commenting 🙏🏽❤️
Your new video made my St. Nicholas Day. Next Tuesday should be my 10th vacation-trip to Sin City, but COVID-19 threw a spanner in this plan. I hope then in next year. So I have to wait and watch your very awesome videos. Give me more.
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏽 This whole pandemic has definitely affected a lot of things. Hopefully you’ll be able to visit in 2021? Any requests for places to visit in Vegas?
@@LasVegasandBeyond Alan, Summerlin could be interesting for us.
Great job Alan!! I wonder if my dad would like Laughlin he might. But you guys gotta go back to Harrahs and stay and see if its haunted Ted!!!!
IMO, Laughlin is a slower/laid back version of Vegas, but it’s hard to tell since they had to cancel their Live Shows, too. It’s River front location is really cool.
We visited in 2019 for a break from the strip and to be honest we liked it for a change , we explored a lot and found it friendly. I had a comped room at Harrahs for a night but we would go back as we just enjoyed it..They had great beers in the Colorado Belle in a little brewery bar at the far end so it’s a shame it’s closed. I think it’s great for people like me from the UK to visit 😀
Hi David, i know I would’ve enjoyed if we stayed the night and took the time to explore more. I want to go back when it’s warmer to check out the water sports and explore Bullhead City and Oatman. Thanks for taking the time to support our channel 🙏🏽
Old Bullhead City is worth living there, it’s right across the river from the casinos. You can’t find land any cheaper.
I heard that Bullhead City is affordable. Thanks for leaving a comment 👍🏽
Because of the the location across from the casinos, old Bullhead will eventually increase in desirability, and thus value.
Just found your channel from your interview on the Midlife Ride! I've been to Laughlin once and did enjoy it! Definitely a lot more subdued than Vegas, but I loved all the river views. It's too bad none of the casinos let you film. You would think they would like some free advertisement!
First of all, Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it 🙏🏽 From speaking with Casino security, some of their reluctance to allow vlogging inside the Casio is to protect Guest Privacy and the other, which I think is probably more likely the case, is any footage showing noncompliance of Reopening Rules and Restrictions. BTW, Happy New Year 🎊🎈
@@LasVegasandBeyond Happy new year to you!

I liked when the Aquarius was still the Flamingo. I feel bad that the Colorado Bell is closed. It was a cute little casino.
I really wanted to check out the Colorado Belle, too.
The casino was nice but the rooms were awful
We've been going there for almost 20 years. Stayed at the Belle many times while it was "collapsing in slow motion." Also Golden Nugget and in earlier times, the Trop. Were just there for New Years' Eve and had a good time. Might be back late Feb or March if the Covid and political situation permit.
Cheers.
@William Wingo First of all, thanks for watching and commenting. I definitely want to go back, do you have a favorite place to stay?
@@LasVegasandBeyond We started out at Harrah's and Tropicana years ago. When their games became unplayable, we switched to Colorado Belle and Golden Nugget. Now the Belle is closed and Nugget has gone downhill, so we've moved a little further North along the river; but not quite all the way.

Excellent, gentlemen. I live in Vegas and usually go to Laughlin about twice a year just to get away from the big city. You showed me a couple of things I had never noticed. Laughlin also has other interesting non-casino related areas such as the Laughlin Labyrinths, the nature trails close to the Riverside and Davis Dam which does not give tours anymore (darn). Aquarius is a very nice hotel -- all the others as you say don't really have the same quality of a Vegas hotel. And it's a shame about the Belle.
@Randall Blue. Thank you for the compliments, we really appreciate it. It was definitely a spontaneous trip, but next time we'll definitely check out more and not cram it into 6 hours. Cheers and Happy Holidays, I appreciate you watching and commenting.

Wow this looks so much fun!
The Water Taxi was fun and relaxing. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏🏽
I'm watching this video on 4/6/2022 and have to say that you can't truly judge Laughlin during a pandemic. Pre-pandemic this mini Vegas was exciting and full of life and of course Colorado Belle was very busy also!! NOTE: Laughlin is more laid back which does entice an older crowd, but overall you'll see all ages. The laid back atmosphere is due to the fact that there aren't many casinos and the main focus aside from that is the beautiful and clean Colorado River, so you'll see more people dressing in casual and comfortable attire. I wouldn't recommend Laughlin for children because there's just not as much to do here as in Vegas. Going to finish up your video now!! ENJOY!! Also note, I haven't visited Laughlin since pre-pandemic days and ironically we were planning a trip a week prior to the initial lockdown. Still haven't returned, but thinking about a couple of days stay in May of 2022.
Thank you Lore for taking the time to watch and especially share your thoughts about Laughlin. As an aside, I have gone back several times to Laughlin (most recent was Nov. 2021) since I made that video and I can honestly say that I really like Laughlin for the main reason you mentioned, "Laid Back". In fact, Laughlin Ranch Golf Resort (Bullhead City) enjoyed my video that I was contracted to do some work for them (videography and Drone work).
Where's the link to the river gators? Beautifully edited video. You might also have mentioned the dam and Lake Mohave. It's a huge draw for families in the warm months.
Hi Mark, I was kidding about the River Gators, that was to see who was still watching or paying attention, so Kudos to you. I definitely need to go back and spend more than 6 hours exploring Laughlin, especially when it’s warmer. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it.

9 casinos in Laughlin. I started doing magic at Harrah’s Laughlin in 1994.
Great Tip. Are you still performing?
@@LasVegasandBeyond not much yet...but I am available Monday and Tuesday’s and mornings other days. Thank you for asking.
Great video really enjoyed watching 👍
Thank you 👍, I appreciate the compliment and you watching and commenting. Happy New Year!!!
Beautiful cinematic shots i wish i knew how to do that what camera and software u recommend for a beginner like me?
Thanks eduardo 🙏🏽 For a beginner, I’d use a smartphone with with either Filmic Pro camera app, or Pro Camera by Moment and LumaFusion for editing. If you use Apple products, just use iMovie for editing until you get the hang of it,
Thanks for the vlog. I am definitely not driving to Laughlin next month when I visit Las Vegas. I rather spend all my five days in Vegas~~~ Thank you again.
Laughlin is definitely a more laid back version of Vegas with a River. I’ve had too many friends go there and rarely ever win.
We just party on the river and get drunk on the river or lake don't come to gamble come to have fun in the sun on the river
@@MrSerinamedrano Now that does sound like FUN 🤙🏽
I'm a local and I work in Laughlin. The machines here are far more friendlier than Vegas. It's too bad, I used to love going to Vegas.
I have been there twice and would go again, when I go to Las Vegas I go to Laughlin for one day.
@Alma Belhumeur , I could definitely see visiting Laughlin after spending time in Vegas. The pace is more relaxing and scenic. Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Holidays
Leave me a Comment if you’ve visited Laughlin and what you did?
Is laughlin like a little vegas?
@@briantafolla2247 A little bit, because of the Casinos, but what makes it different, to me, is the riverfront and all the outdoor activities. It’s very scenic unlike The Strip.
@@LasVegasandBeyond thank you very much😊 then of courze i should visit laughlin since it looks not as crowded as LV. I prefer enjoy such recreational activities rather than walking on the strip
@@briantafolla2247 You’re welcome and rates are pretty reasonable, too. I plan to go and explore the Arizona side. I hear there’s some cool things to see and do over there, too. I appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏🏽
@@LasVegasandBeyond thanks to you for the video and responding to me😊oh yes i forgot AZ is on the other side😄🌵🏜
It was probably really nice once upon a time especially being on the river.
I agree that I’m sure it was really fun in the 80s - 90s. Similar to Vegas, this pandemic hasn’t helped the tourist towns.
I've been visiting Laughlin since 1982 (I believe there were 4 casinos then). I like Las Vegas, but Laughlin is great for when you really want to chill out. What happened to the boat ride? 10 dollars for a tour on the big boat (not the Water Taxi that used to be free). The tour boat had it's own inexpensive bar.
Thank you @Ivan J for sharing your Laughlin memories and I agree how relaxing Laughlin is compared to Vegas. The only Boat Tour we saw was the Riverside’s Dinner Cruise.
@@LasVegasandBeyond That may have been the one.
So great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🙏🏽 I appreciate you watching and commenting
Nice vlog, especially the moon shots. The Golden Nugget is a nice friendly place and clean rooms. Too bad the Belle is closed.Too bad the town does NOT do more to make the city cleaner. IF it was not for the river, it would do half the business.
I heard the River Run was/is a pretty wild time. I wish we didn’t skip the River Lodge., but agree that the Nugget was nice and appeared kept. The Aquarius looked sterile, in a bad way. BTW, thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏽❤️
nice meeting u pare!
It was nice meeting you, too Kuya 🙏🏽
I like Laughlin in spite of the fact it is run down and getting worse. I spend about 10 days here each January. Fly to LV for 10 days then get rental car and hit the road. Spent the days walking the boardwalk, shopping in Bullhead, AZ, side tours to Oatman or Lake Havusu, AZ. Casinos can be very smoky...boy those folks can smoke 💨. The pace is slower and the price is right and I don’t miss the cold 🥶 and snow back home in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 eh!
First of all thank you for watching and commenting. I need to go back and spend more time exploring Laughlin instead of 6 hours. There’s definitely a lot more to see and do. Are you planning to come visit in 2021?
Yes, if all goes well with flights and travel permission with regard to Covid, I’m outta Calgary by Jan 10 for 6-8 weeks. Do my usual 10 days in ea of Vegas and Laughlin and another 4-5 weeks in California. Other vloggers have said (and I confirmed) Cali is in shut down again until at least Dec 27th. Things are constantly changing, even here in Calgary, so wish me luck my plan comes to fruition!!!
Good Luck, and yeah California shutdown, again. I hope everything goes as planned for you. Be Safe and maybe I’ll run into you in Vegas
I use to live there and what I like most is it's small and the people were very nice and the the rent was cheap 😀
Everyone we met was very friendly and definitely had that cozier feel. Thanks for watching and commenting @Joy B
I love Laughlin, been many times
Thank you Teresa for watching and commenting, I appreciate it 🙏🏽 I’m heading there in two weeks, to actually spend the night and explore
@@LasVegasandBeyond my parents lived 20 miles from their before they passed away, and my brother still lives around there. We have went to the Bike week a few times. And that was a awesome time. Can't wait to go again
Awesome videos love, great voice!
Thank you so much!!
You left off the Regency, which has it's own interesting history, and you forgot about the Avi about 15 miles to the South.
Thank you @robideu. I didn’t realize we forgot the Regency until we got back to the car. I do plan to go back, but during the warmer season so I can rent a JetSki and spend the night and checkout more of the Casinos, Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it
Staying at Riverside seems right for us!
Thank you @Julie Jensen for taking the time to Comment. Recently, I stayed at the Aquarius Hotel, Oct. 1, 2021 and found the room decent and the view really nice. I was on the 18th floor.
Hell ya Vegas is always fun!!!!!!
Yes it is, but I need to go back Laughlin and spend a couple days there. It’s inexpensive to book a room there right now
The Italian restaurant in the Tropicana is sooo good!
Thank you @Lydia Stidham for watching and commenting. I have put that on my ever-growing list of things to revisit when I head back to Laughlin. Happy Holidays!!!
Casinos used to do a junket not that long ago, only ten bucks by bus "tour," they just drop you off to gamble for the day. We used to do it when it got too hot in vegas on our days off. They also have a cool outlet mall
Another reason to go back and check out the Outlet Mall. Thanks for all the great info and especially for watching and commenting 🙏🏽
Next time you want to visit Laughlin, Nv. , contact the chamber of commerce to discover what "events" the casinos sponsor. Laughlin is the ONLY place with "live" entertainment within the "tri-state" area. I'm from Needles, Ca. (25 miles So.) Summertime is miserable unless you boat or jet ski
Thank you for the excellent advice. Next time I won’t be as spontaneous and do a little more research upfront. I’ll avoid the July-August heat for sure. I appreciate you watching and commenting, too.
Hey there I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed this video, I've watched it before and I always enjoy it. And are you doing any more videos I never see you in any I've subscribed to all notifications so hopefully I'll see you soon and tell Ted hello for me
Hi Betty, I started working full-time back at my “real” career. Information Systems and have been too busy to “vlog”, but I can’t thank you enough for your support, it means a lot to me
I like that river! i remember renting jet ski on a weekday and cruising the river (it was empty and all mine). what a bummer about Colorado Belle! where' the link about the the river gators?!
I definitely want to do exactly that, rent a Jet Ski. I was joking about the River Gators, but apparently there’s a Zoo down River and another viewer said he used to tease his cousins about the gators escaping into the River. Thanks for Watching and Commenting, I appreciate it
I have lived in Bullhead City for 41 years now and have really seen it grow. I was amazed at both the video and the audio (perfect background music) quality. Wonderful job. One correction only, the Colorado Belle opened in 1987, not 1980. Wikipedia got the Nov. 1980 date wrong, confusing it with the opening date of the Colorado Club (where the Pioneer now sits). Anyway, you can verify this by going to Laughlin history. iecn.com/history-laughlin-nevada/
@daybird2, Thanks for sharing the correct info, darn that Wikipedia. Most of all, thank you for the awesome compliment, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. HAve a great day and sorry for the delayed response as your comment was in the "Held For Review" RUclips Tab. Once again, thank you.
We stayed at the Riverside hotel. Not ONE of us got a hit for the five days that we were at this hotel. We fared better at the Pioneer hotel. The riverboat ride stopping at different casinos was nice. Over-all, Laughlin reminded me too much of a tourist trap.
First of all, thank you for watching and commenting. My girlfriend didn’t want to go back to Laughlin as she had the same experience as you. She spent a week in Laughlin and said she rarely heard anyone win, or a machine give a bonus.
Bull! It's old Vegas at It's best!I bet 25-50 @ craps they can't do enough for me!! Free charter (regular price from 3-350) everything! EXCEPT Room service..Never had it...probably a good move..Get people out of the room in the morning! Only time I miss it !!
Where do you recommend to get access fo the river ia bullhead community park good for that and a jet skis expensive
Honestly, I’m not familiar with the area, but there are some experts in the Comments who would be more helpful than me.
Love the editing! Top notch!
As always, thanks @Jay L for your kind words and supporting my Channel 🙏🏽
