I attended the first two rounds of their improbable run, and sat in Loyola Chicago's area closely to watch the game. A time to remember, and the best part was that I was excused from school and some of my teachers were out too.
Who else realized it was the same exact score the first two games?

Even after four years after this happened, I still can't believe it. I attended Loyola Chicago, mainly because it's just a mile from my house and can't believe that this small athletically unknown university was involved in this.
I always look forward to watching Loyola Chicago play

One misconception about the tournament is the term upset. It suggests that a team had no business winning a certain game. At times that is true. But I look at it differently. I see it as that team simply being overlooked. They may be overlooked because they come from a small school and/or conference. But their talent was always there. It didn’t just magically appear in March

To this day I still dont fuck with loyola Chicago for hitting that shot against Tennessee, they shouldve won that game, and could've easily gotten to the final 4 that year. I'm glad they lost to oregon st.
