Gohan has always had untapped power. I believe he was afraid to go all out because he wants to be in control and not use emotion and rage to use his power. In all honesty that’s really what the entire storyline is about. To be a formidable opponent with patience. Vegeta; even though he knows this; he still have moments where he lets his rage take control and he always fall short. Not to mention he’s always cocky about his status instead of humbling himself to warriors who in many cases seem to be better in the beginning. But his frustration of not being able to knock down his opponents immediately triggers his rage and that’s where Vegeta falls short. With Goku; he thrives for the challenge but he constantly lets his guard down because he merciful and that’s his only Achilles heel. All of them including Broly has amazing abilities but if you notice their shortcomings; they will always take a step backwards because of their weaknesses. I believe that one day they’ll master their skills and become masters in their own way.
Goku was toying with gohan just to test his power, but that royal sayins battle was awesome, exactly what we wanted.
A guy who has trained very hard with an Angel to achieve godly powers and has even impressed the gods, making them stand in his honor, is being beaten up by a guy who stopped training for a long period of time but suddenly got an unexplained power-up, like literally 'unexplained'. I think that Goku using incomplete UI at the end of the Gas fight was a good set-up for him to eventually become able to turn SSJ while using UI and that becomes a new form, similar to how turning SSJ with divine ki unlocked Blue
Agreed I thought the same thing! With UI he has to remain calm and can use the god forms in conjunction like SSG and SSB. So with TRUE UI since he can use his emotions it would be cool to see him stack SSJ, SSJ2, and maybe SSJ3 with it.

Technically Vegeta can get an even stronger form than the one Goku could get with UI because the only reason he needs to go back to incomplete for this possible form is because he needs to control his emotions to keep using UI while Vegeta's UE let's him go all out so it's possible he can turn SSJ while using it.
Given how Black Frieza OHKO both of them at their strongest form, it doesn't seem like just training will be enough for them to catch up, specially now with Gohan surpassing basically everyone so it's likely that Beast was just the first of a series of new SSJ forms that'll start to be introduced with everyone getting an unique form, I've been expecting for a long time now for Broly to get a form similar to SSJ4 for example and maybe Goten and Trunks will also start training to get something new now that they got bodied by basically everyone
Can you clarify what you mean? Because I remember Goku could already tap UI in his base and super saiyan form when he fought Granolah. He eve used UI in his SSB form.
@@gene081976 think of how in Battle of Gods he went into regular SSJ while still using the divine ki he got from the ritual, it's basically the same thing, he can use SSJB with UI during the Granolah fight but because he hadn't mastered it yet it didn't affect his form and then he's only said to have mastered UI at the end of the Gas fight so it's purposely left open what would happen if he used Mastered UI with a SSJ form, which is why I think it'll lead to a new form

Gohan is the Half-Saiyan equivalent to Frieza. He can grow exponentially fast, especially when encountering strong fighters. Gohan can just grow very fast. He's been blessed with potential. It might take others long and hard training (Goku & Vegeta), or wishes (Granolah & Gas), but gohan just has the potential to reach great heights with tremendous speed. What might take others a year to master, some just learn in half the time.

The writing in Dragon ball has fallen off a cliff entirely at this point. Jiren apparently reached that level of power by training immensely after his village was slaughtered and he went toe to toe with Goku who we knew had been training immensely win an Angel and yet Gohan can just pull off such a gigantic power leap because "potential". Idk man.

Whenever the Frieza arc happens again, Frieza definitely won't be coming alone I think. Mayeb that's where they introduce Cooler, or maybe there's other Saiyans out there that his trying to find. Either way.. I think he'll have back up with all these people at such high levels of power.

Like I've said earlier: U.I and U.E are undoubtedly superior techniques/transformations but neither Goku nor Vegeta will never be able to fully master these forms as they were never meant for a mortal body..its like trying to store nuclear power inside a AAA battery..which is where Gohan, Broly, Piccolo, Black Frieza, Jiren, Moro, Granola, and Future Trunks has the upper hand..all their forms are their own and they are in full control of their respective forms..so, unless Goku and Vegeta realise they need something unique of their own that ties back to their saiyan roots..they will keep getting bodied.

It seems to me that if Goku was able to catch Gohan off guard like that then he likely isn't that far behind Gohan when it comes to speed, but then if Gohan is able to take Goku out of the fight with a single punch then the gulf between the two when it comes to pure power is likely to be rather large.
BTW personally I don't really have a problem with Gohan being the strongest of them by a significant margin right now, as this power that Gohan has, has been built up too since at least the Buu saga (with the supreme Kai's ritual) if not for a lot longer than that. Then again I have also always been a Gohan fan so there is that too.

What Goku, etc will evolve to are the "character" of each ie Ego for Vegeta. UI has just been a stopgap for Goku. His whole life has been about Total Dedication to the art of Confronting & Fighting Wrongdoers & Evil and challenging himself. I think his final form will be UFV = ULTIMATE & FINAL VICTOR
PS, as far as I'm concerned, UI makes you weaker by avoiding hits damage. It's stated early in DB that damage from fighting is what makes Sayans stronger.

I read the new chapter and goku actually fights in the new version of ui against gohan pretty kuch controling the fight and getting his ass kicked till he turned beast up a notch and started moving as fast as ui and he overwhelmed goku and thats when u see that punch that knocked him out of ui and then he asks if gohan still has energy left cuz he wants him to fight someone else which is gonna be broly

I am a fan of a good writing, and the facts that DB was an ispirational manga/anime means that, with the perseverance, dedication, and training, during life you'll obtain your results. What the results of having an unexpressed power without training and beating a master on his stage? Honestly, they knew gohan was to far behind during this saga, and thought it could be brilliant to make him this savage from nothing! Even frieza has been better wrote cmon.

Now this gohan smart enough to level up further just by unleashing his full outrage n turn into a beast without intense training, looks like straight up cheat code.. Even granolah need to use dragon ball to achieve that level to the fullest.. All in all gohan's power up always just for short period of time n will be humbled again later on by goku and vegeta because he lacks godly level training

A theory for powerscaling:
- Gohan is around Blue or Blue Evolution or SSBKK equivalent level (current Vegeta and Goku)
- Gohan's power could well have reached original UI Omen level or greater in TOP however current Vegeta and Goku's Blue forms are at least this level to begin with (I doubt Piccolo and Gohan could sense or understand the full depth of Jiren's power or Goku in UI Omen from TOP until they achieved Orange and Beast forms which would also validate why they mentioned Vegeta and Goku might have struggled with Cell Max being previously only able to read Blue or Blue Evolution or SSBKK level until the next time they meet, suggesting Goku & Vegeta might have struggled is absolutely ridiculous as this would mean some mere human can create such powerful UI level beings and only Dr Hedo was needed to win TOP or conquer a universe, so this would be a reasonable explanation to cover that complete mess of a statement, even with this explanation it means Dr Hedo still created a being capable of fighting with Beerus better than Goku first turning SSG and requiring the five pure hearted saiyans, completely absurd even if Beerus was holding back)
- Goku put on a show to encourage Gohan and pretends to be knocked out of MUI, or he let his guard down enough to experience the full power blow which could still be a weakness of letting his guard down as Whis mentioned previously, Piccolo repeatedly taught Gohan well not to do this, Gohan likely heeding this lesson and not disrespecting his father's wishes does not hold back after seeing how easily Goku kicked him from behind (rather than what happened before where he got swept in the Ultimate Gohan vs SSBKK fight)
- Broly shocked Gohan because he has comparable strength with controlled "Legendary" form and to Gohan this looks like a SSJ1 form with an absurd level of power (assuming this is not quite as strong as his berzerker state, Broly's power seems less of a threat like what we witnessed with Kale in the TOP)
- In the Broly film Goku was still too new to using UI, he had used it too much to tap back into UI or MUI, same could be said with his SSBKK form and Vegeta with his Evolution form needing time to recover after pushing themselves so much, hence needing the fusion to overcome Broly in berzerker mode as this was supposed to be just after the TOP (It would definitely not make sense for Frieza to attack with his golden form knowing he would get outclassed and wrecked by both of them otherwise)
- Vegeta uses the appropriate perfected Blue or Blue Evolution form to battle Gohan but is adamant he will win, infuriated that it would take a higher form to fight evenly (interpreting the expression on his face and being a more serious fighter who does not let his guard down in the same way Goku does who as mentioned previously, could well be encouraging his son and wanting to take the full force of the strongest attack with guard dropped)
- Vegeta would likely now need the same Blue form or at least SSG to battle with controlled "Legendary" Broly but coming out on top due to battle experience if Broly did not ascend to a higher form before the battle ended.
- Beerus/Whis are shocked at how many saiyans are at the TOP level of UI Omen or around this level (this being the only time we see Whis being moved/intrigued/pround and referring to his "witness something remarkable" statement. Beerus should be thankful that they will probably raise the mortal level of the entire universe by a large margin lol)
- Kefla seems pitiful in comparison and Broly is the true defintion of the legendary or ancient super saiyan, similar to Cumber level of feats in DBH (imagine a fusion)
Side note: I really hope the series continues, it would be a shame to never know what the other universes hold and especially those with the highest mortal levels! I also want to know more about what the eye colours relate to. Sure Broly might have an Oozaru type boost in his Ikari form but Gohan with the red eyes in beast? Aren't hybrid saiyans supposed to have crazy potential but Broly is an absolute beast in just a controlled super saiyan form? So much needs a satisfying explanation. Where is the Frieza race vs Saiyans galactic battle? Cooler and Frieza fusion? Is Frieza a prodigy or legendary amongst his race whereas Frost is not? Hit is 1000 years old? Another ultimate race?

It takes hours and hours of rationalization, rewriting the points, reading through many times and considering all scenarios to come up with an idea that conforms to the continuity of the story. It requires enough energy to perform a mini genki dama with the many variables involved such as Goku letting his guard down voluntarily vs fighting his son which did not happen when Ultimate Gohan fought Goku SSBKK. Goku knew the full power of Gohan then having seen it several times before, this was not the case with Beast Gohan. It is also likely Goku does not want to discourage Gohan a second time, that Goku literally wants to feel the full power of Beast Gohan's strongest attack much like when he asked Future Trunks SS2 to hit him with his strongest attack in the Goku Black arc. Goku in MUI pushed Beast Gohan to lose it rather than beat him down so he would use maximum power despite not really looking like he exerted much power himself. At this point he let Gohan hit him in a relaxed state and was temporarily knocked out of MUI by the force of it at a lowered power level or made it look that way hence the shock on everyone's face that he has done it again! Those who know his power better. Remember Goku was shot with a worthless blaster gun and nearly died despite being in his blue form when fighting Frieza. THAT shows you how much Goku can drop his guard and power level. Vegeta is not that way inclined and will not play games like Goku by using a higher form and massively dropping his defense.

Even though Gohan managed to knock Goku out of his UI form, that doesn't mean Goku's all out of gas. Goku them gets up and switches back to UI like it's nothing.
It's only when Gohan went 100% that he managed such a feat. It's pretty clear that Goku didn't go 100%, he was just analyzing Gohan. I would also like to see a fight between Gohan beast and CC universal blue Goku.
