Which means their existing strongest characters need to be moving goalposts because the series doesn't have a planned ending. One of the reasons for this is dragonball (and the fandom)'s multiplicative power scaling - which has never made sense but has also never had a relavant impact on the story as a whole. BOTG was supposed to be a one off not a complete revival of the series so leaving off with a universe deleting character chilling about would have been ok but now he has to sit around and watch characters continue to get successively "multiple" times stronger without somehow becoming irrelevant. Its just bad writing but it was established 30 years and the Fandom loves it so much that they don't get rid of it

plus you account for the fact that for the last aaaages he's been asleep and just waking up here and there to destroy a thing or two and then sleep again, and suddenly there is another reason that adds to this, he probably got sloppy compared to whatever peak he was once at, kinda like gohan every arc. He's seeming to get so much stronger so fast because he isn't actually having to explore any new ground at all, because he's been there and done it all before, so his power can just kinda skyrocket, plus then momentum on his side to grow further still once he does start to surpass himself, again much like gohan has been shown to - going from weak asf to beast for example so fast, if beerus is in the middle of doing that and it's just drawn out because of his sheer age and the power acrued over that time that he can kinda just grow at this rate for ages without breaking sweat or really being at risk of slowing down, then suddenly it all makes even more sense.

Beerus has been training ever since Battle of Gods. That fight was what he needed to motivate himself. And it seems like he has limitless potential at a level even beyond Freiza and Gohan. I bet Beerus has been aware of the low mortal level of his universe for thousands of years. People forget that he’s one of the two top Gods in the universe. Everyone thinks he’s evil but that’s only because the Kai were afraid of him because he sealed away the old Kai. In reality Beerus has all kinds of motivation to improve the state of his universe. He sees the potential in these new saiyans and he’s been purposely pushing them to greater and greater heights.
The real question is. Why do people just assume beerus don’t train anymore or that whis just completely stopped training beerus . Training beerus is literally whis’s job . Beerus can literally go in the hyperbolic time chamber at anytime he wants and train there for how ever long he wants . Thats probably why he’s still stronger then goku and vegeta.

There is one way to make the old-old-old statement of Goku being a 6 to Beerus's 10 make sense, and that's to turn those numbers from percentages to tier. Sort of like Goku was in tier 6 and Beerus was in tier 10 of power, and the differences between tiers is just insanely, incomparably massive, differences that get even larger between each successive tier. Still, even then, given all the power jumps we've seen, its a stretch.

Beerus was cool way back but now he's just there. He'll say something cool aka repeat himself and the fandom will explode. Please just do something interesting with him. Beerus and Whis were such incredible additons to the story. They fit the universe so well and are such great characters overall.
In an interview Toriyama did in 2016 he literally stated that he had no plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass either Beerus or Whis. Why do so many fans ignore this?

I really like the idea of beerus sealing old kai in order to secure his own life while he slept. It's pretty in character for beerus to make sure hes chillin and not really care ab how that would effect the rest of the universe which is why uni7 has such a low score.

Beerus has been training ever since Battle of Gods. That fight was what he needed to motivate himself. And it seems like he has limitless potential at a level even beyond Freiza and Gohan.
I bet Beerus has been aware of the low mortal level of his universe for thousands of years. People forget that he’s one of the two top Gods in the universe. Everyone thinks he’s evil but that’s only because the Kai were afraid of him because he sealed away the old Kai. In reality Beerus has all kinds of motivation to improve the state of his universe. He sees the potential in these new saiyans and he’s been purposely pushing them to greater and greater heights.

There is one way to make the old-old-old statement of Goku being a 6 to Beerus's 10 make sense, and that's to turn those numbers from percentages to tier. Sort of like Goku was in tier 6 and Beerus was in tier 10 of power, and the differences between tiers is just insanely, incomparably massive, differences that get even larger between each successive tier. Still, even then, given all the power jumps we've seen, its a stretch.

Honestly the creative team didn’t predict this show would go this far. They completely focused on one piece.

His power seems to be linked to his desire for battle and his mastery over techniques like Hakai and Ultra Instinct. His thirst for battle seems to fuel his destructive potential, making him even more formidable as a fighter.
Beerus was cool way back but now he's just there. He'll say something cool aka repeat himself and the fandom will explode. Please just do something interesting with him. Have him fight Quitela, fight black Frieza, or all four of them go against in a battle. Kinda out on Super now. So many more better manga out there right now.
