I taught my two daughters the value of working to get something,Started that as soon as they could talk and learn simple things and progressed from there. We also put aside funds for them to go to College etc I saw the results of raising them up in this way when my one daughter worked part-time in her HighSchool yrs, saved her money from this job and bought her own Laptop Computer. She valued it all the more cause She did it herself😊 So today both are independent and doing great in their chosen careers. 😊

OK, thought experiment question - This is designed to eliminate the generalized response, "It depends who you are and what you want" when someone is asked the generalized question, "What should I do with my money?". As well as, all of the, "If this, then...", "Maybe you're this or that...", "Maybe this happens, that happens..."
** An alien crash lands his spaceship on Earth, USA. After assessing the damage to his ship he determines, the primary drive, which runs on hydrolized gold, was cracked, and the gold, kept in gaseous form in the drive chamber, has leaked out and evaporated away, and his ship is unable to fly. He calculates he will require 100KG of gold to be able to make it all the way home. Because of other ship systems' deterioration rate, he must make his attempt to leave before 15yrs, or each year that passes afterward he will require another 10KG of gold to accomplish the same trip. To live in the ship while we gathers the gold he needs, would require gold to run the required systems, but the amount required in this atmosphere is unknown, and he has zero gold. So for now, he plans to bury the ship and come back when he has the gold.
He checks his emergency kit, he has been provided with local currency, $100 000 USD, a costume to resemble the local species, humans, or Americans, haha. His physiology gives him similar capabilities to a healthy, adult human, even stronger and more durable, and resilient, but he is from an advanced society, also, and while an engineer, not just a pilot, he obviously has no qualifications of record. Receiving a good income from a local seems unlikely, but not impossible, he plans to look into the education and licensing systems if necessary, but proceeds with entrepreneurship as his first recourse. He looks at a photo of his wife and children, kisses it, and says, "I'll be home as soon as I can, I promise."
He sets out into town. The first person he meets is you. He explains his situation to you, desperate, failure is not an option. Can he achieve his goal of making it home? With certainty? How soon?
What do you advise him to do?

Love your honesty and telling it like it is😊 so many out there dont. They just dress it up and make it look good. I taught my two daughters the value of working to get something,Started that as soon as they could talk and learn simple things and progressed from there. We also put aside funds for them to go to College etc I saw the results of raising them up in this way when my one daughter worked part-time in her HighSchool yrs, saved her money from this job and bought her own Laptop Computer. She valued it all the more cause She did it herself😊 So today both are independent and doing great in their chosen careers. 😊
