For the rich and poor people who don't have 1 hr to burn on this:
    1) Prioritize your goals every day
    2) Use skin cream
    3) Pursue passions outside your profession
    4) Learn to handle rejection
    5) Understand that you don't need money to make money
    6) Maintain a healthy diet
    7) Get your REM sleep

To Mr. Wonderful’s point at the 44 minute mark - this is exactly what I did. I interned at a 10 billion dollar company while in school for 3 YEARS and I told them - I don’t care what you pay me, I want to learn and help you and my goal is to get a permanent position here. The answer was, fine, you can intern, but we don’t hire right out of school. I didn’t take no for an answer. On my last day as an intern, I submitted essentially a business plan to the executive in charge of the department showing him what i’ve done, what I can bring to the table, and how I can fill a need in the department. Here I sit today as a employee of that corporation. Anyone can do it. Suck it up, work your ass off, and don’t take no for an answer. And do it politely. Good luck to you all! You can do it!

Going to summarize here and distill a common pattern.
    1) Focus (through priorities in order to get stuff done.)
    2) Energy (stay energized by eating healthy and taking care of your body to get stuff done)
    3) Decompress (have other passions to avoid burnout and generate new ideas...so you can get stuff done)
    4) Resiliency (success is a series of failures. Bounce back fast...yep, so you can get stuff done)
Successful people are highly productive people.
You have to have the focus, energy and resiliency in order to have a chance.

For the most part they're just batteries in a system designed by people who are fundamentally superior to them (industrial civilization and it's scientists/entrepreneurs). If they have no value, they also can't confer any value. Those who become successful despite the inertia of the "people" are therefore necessarily self made because their creativity is what compels the masses to buy-in.

I was raised in extreme poverty and my mother would blame it on everyone and everything except herself. I was 25 years old when I first started befriending successful people and learned this valuable lesson. At 25 I was making less than 25k a year, now at 34 and my yearly income has tripled. I wear make -up that has sunscreen. I also started having an at home spa day every Friday. I work long hours Monday thru Thursday and it's great to relax and pamper myself.
My goal when I was younger was to create passive income so I could be a stay at home mom (real estate). Now my passion has me working outside the home again. I like physical labor and being part of a team. It's like going to the gym except they pay me.
I also love gardening and I'm learning to trade!

The dude he had on around the 8 minute mark says he knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life when he was 12. I'm a big proponent of the idea that 12 is some kind of critical age for people. If you meet someone, doesn't matter who, ask when what happened when they were 12 years old. There's always a story, and it's always very formative. I've lost count of the number of people I've read about or talked to who picked up the skill that ended up being their livelihood when they were 12. Parents should pay more attention to what a kids interests end up being at that age (their own interests, do not attempt to 'guide' or force them into something or its basically guaranteed to not work) and really aid in the kid taking that as far as they want to go. Learning anything deeply and thoroughly is valuable, no matter what it is.

Look this guy is subverting the youtube model. The youtube model is some young sincere as-yet unaccomplished person trying to teach whatever their skills are. They try to make money whether by ads or by clicks but the successful ones really give more than they receive. Since youtube influencers have become so important the glossy sharks have taken notice, the big businesses have tried to hijack the model. And Kevin O'Leary is probably the very best of these people. He hires professional cinematographers to videotape him, he provides a glossy product (although he still doesn't have the skills to compete with the real expert youtubers), and he sells advertising and promotes his products while providing advice. And on net I would say he provides more value than he takes, but it's a thin margin. Later, other sharks will come along and provide purely self-promotional information. I get that there is value in this, and I get that Kevin O'Leary is not all bad, but his very presence on this platform is inherently subversive to the youtube model. And I'm not saying that I hate him or his videos or his message. I will say that sometimes he provides content that is not 100% heartfelt the way an up-and-comers would be, and I suspect if you follow his rules for success you will find yourself in a cul-de-sac rather than a straight path; he definitely is selling the sizzle as much as the steak, and by the way he is one of the world's experts at selling sizzle. But definitely there is value here. I will pay attention to him, but I'm not going to be one of Kevin O'Leary's fawning youtube adorers.
