Hello Sir Anthony, as I browse across different marketplace, I have noticed that plenty of high end level shoes like, JL, cj handgrade, eg, AS exclusive etc Do have damaged leathers, severely cracked uppers Is this common? Is it because its made from softer calf leathers (?? prone to premature cracking) ? Or just an improper maintenance by the owner? Or what Million thanks
We absolutely do see so many great quality shoes and boots that have been ruined by over polishing. It seems the more expensive the she the more polish! If you open a tin of polish and leave it on your window cill it will dry out and set like iron.....exactly what it does in the leather! I need to do a video all about polishing shoes. Antony
You are absolutely right... and I did talk to Paul about doing just that. That method would have been plenty strong enough and looked lovely without disturbing the stitching on the mock welt. We've never done that, but maybe next time . Well picked up on! Antony 👍
The amount of brands that put their name on them or make them, that for a little bit more time and money, can make them easier to resole is disappointing. It's a shame to have to throw away a shoe just because the outsole has worn... as cheap and quick as the shoe is to replace
I've had SVIG commando heel and half soles glued to a pair of half price John White Chelsea boots twice 😊 The uppers are not bad to be fair, came with xtralite soles that wore rapidly
@@shoehealer8853 I assume, because I have sent my C&J to the factory and got them back without any taxes. Too expensive though, but very well done of course.
I would of rather have bought a second or third hand pair of trickers and had the repair done. But still an excellent job.
Thank you
Great video Of fashion boots n shoes
£110 ain’t bad for a £70 pair of M&S shoes. To be unique and wear well.
Totally agree, thank you
My Trickers are on the way to you as of this evening
Thank you Sir 😊

@@shoehealer8853 ok looking forward thank you
Another outstanding job 👍
Thank you
Couldn't you stitch the outer sole, then glue the outer sole to the Blake stitched mid sole.
Mock outer sole.

He may have been better buying a pair of Berwicks if you had his size available? But a good job done.
Understand what your saying, but some people just love a pair of shoes, and he still wouldn’t have got a commando sole on it
@@shoehealer8853 Fair point 👍

If it wasn’t because of the bloody brexit I would have shipped my shoes for you for repair all the time.
Still haven’t got to bottom of it, there must be a way of marking it as a repair.
