I think Tanaka should have at least a Bargaining skill. So you can buy stuff in the few shops. I mean, he has Business experience. So i think that he could have two levels of that. Kinda like Marina's Occultism skill.
I agree with the idea of player marriages being a poor fit for termina, but I could see Marriage being a boss fight triggered by a Moonscorched Samarie getting a hold of Marina somehow, and then becoming a new Moonscorched form of the two of them together.

there’s a SMALL detail you’re forgetting, for marriages to form, both participants have to be willing, and i don’t think marina would be ok with that
agree with the above, but i also don’t think samarie would do that to her. especially considering she finds marina in the mayor’s mansion if you rest there but she just runs away, just like she runs away after the confrontation with marina’s dad. she’s poorly adjusted, not dangerous. even dysmorphia is just triggered by her emotions, not truly wanting to do harm.

I feel the Save everyone route would be hard because of Pav, August, Karin and Caligura. Caligura is too scummy to save, August is too quiet to trust, Pav will alway be punched by Marcoh, and Karin will instigate confrontation with them.
Marcoh is quiet too, but well in the other hand, August is really doing things on his own and more likely being questioned due to it. He prob just doesn't want anyone to be involved to his personal matter.
However hard it is, everyone will just perceive that as the good ending. I kind of hope if there is an ironic save everyone end it's where everyone just walks out of town not having accomplished anything or the main character has had to saw off half of everyones arms just so they stay under control.
I really disagree on August, we see him as a good person with the interaction with Moonless.
Not to mention he saves your ass SO many times.
The biggest one that stood out for me was when you die to the Decrepit Priest and he saves you from the cross after you lost your legs and uses himself as a diversion from the villagers so you are able to escape alive.
I trusted him extremely early on, it was mostly intrigue if nothing else.
No clue how to save caligura but I think Pav could be saved by him getting decked by Kaiser on day one, August will probably tag along if you tell him you also had enough of kaiser's shit.
I doubt we will get a save everyone route, I just hope we get a "have other people escape while you escape too" ending

Tarō Okamoto is actually an artist, there is ton of anime and other media inspired by his works, even a tokusatsu hero called Taroman. Good that someone asked that question, I also thought there was some Taro in F&H, it's crazy how artists end up doing similar things without any connection. Great video man, keep up the good work!
putting something in between masochism mode and fear & hunger mode feels right. as of now, the gap between "normal mode" and the next step up is absolutely massive

That's EXACTLY my thought every time I heard he's adding it.
It is such a great opportunity to tie it into that, hell, he could even add in a lesser Old God that focuses on the water just for lore purposes.
Or go above and beyond and give him a short quest line. Lots of neat stuff possible to add.
Those skills Miro said he had for the Virgin priest, maybe that'll be something for a Samarie skill update in the future?

Thank for the monthly(?) update! As someone who doesn't resign in the official discord, this really help keeping me up to date and some peak into the development process of the game.

Buffing contestants is a terrible idea. The whole point is that a player willing to murder a person, another human being, is going to have an easier time then a person who waits until they moonscorch.
I hope the save everyone ending is just Termina's version of Ending E where it looks like you just bugger off and not deal with Prehevil's nonsense only for that to be fake and you're all still trapped/get scorched
Im definitely not as deep in the F&h rabbit hole but I'm pretty sure Orange mentioned how one of the requisite for the art contest was that the creature was small and simple enough to be a regular enemy...so I dont imagine apotheosis being a boss. Unless ofc plans change like they always do lol.

Perhaps marriage would be a unique mechanic open to only a few pairs based upon their pre prehevil relations or how genuine /desperate they are as a person (example wheelchair user would accept the proposition to be able to be at least part of a person who has workable legs)
I didn't even know Caligura was a character in the game my first run through.
I’d be happy to see and of the six remaining contestants become playable, with my personal frontrunners being Pav and August. Tanaka and Henryk would be fine, they just need a lot of tuning imo to be fun to play. Samarie really needs to not just be Marina-lite, and Caligura would just be really weird to see being chummy with the rest of the cast.
Pav I could see being like a bard type pc; can do a little bit of everything, but excels more at getting other party members to do more. That plus starting with a gun would make him super powerful.
August could have a unique weapon in his mind magic bow and arrow, already making him very different from everyone else. He could even shoot it on the overworld if you want to get real crazy with it. I do wonder how much of his skill tree will survive the pc transition, I’ll be honest. He’ll probably still be able to eat people, it wouldn’t be fear and hunger without a little cannibalism.
I hope Samarie’s build makes her heavily focused on old god sigils, and allows her to quickly max out the god skill trees/get one extra use out of asymmetric ritual circles (at a high cost to her, of course). She could also have some debilitating debuff akin to the heroin addiction mechanic where she is a substantially worse character if Marina is not around, and gets buffed if she is around.
I see a lot of mention of joke character Tanaka, but I think he’d be fun as a snowball skill character. Weak at the start, but gains buffs the further into the festival you get. Perhaps a Barter skill would work with him as well; say a guaranteed escape from a normal encounter at the cost of one of your items (distracts the enemy in the overworld, so you can actually get away).
Henryk could have a passive like Olivia’s that makes it easier for him to find food in the overworld, as well as a few unique recipes that allow him to turn regular meat pies/veg pies into his special + pies. And perhaps it’s just the shitpost of it all but I think he should have a near useless ability that lets him throw pies in enemies faces (consumes pie, blinds for a few turns)
samarie could have an OP final skill called stalker or something where enemies have to be closer to aggro onto her

@Mau just some other facts he talked about in the next update. He won’t be releasing a Mac version of the game anytime soon. He wants to focus on getting the Windows version more playable before he comes out with Mac.
I also tought the symbol with the sun and moon was coming from the Tower of the Sun from the univeral exposition at Osaka in 1970. Or some kind of reference to The 20th Boys manga. You know a tower with some kind of festival etc...

Just finished the rest of the video and I'm excited Miro is talking about the game. I can't manage to be on the discord while he's coincidentally taking a break from coding to chat with us.
Wacky fish adventures
I'd like Osaa to get more stuff to do. He seems to catch a green dart in the tunnels, set up somewhere around the church or the west ally and might go into the confessional. Fish aren't too exciting, so many games have subpar fishing games and there's already enough food but a few secrets could show up there. Tanaka is okay but I get the feeling it's just one more place for him to die. I also think Pav has enough to do. Henryk maybe? Maybe a really BAD ending where everyone survives, it's the D ending where you just get the train running on Day 2 and then drive off as everyone slowly degrades mentally over 60 years, like a slow burn insanity rather than one person getting a new chance at life.
More paths into the city sounds okay, there's three and one involves dropping your early character for the team. Maybe another bolt cutter inside the city so you can 100% get back over even if you don't push to the church.
Tanaka as a joke high difficulty mode would be cool, or if you can unlock his late game look through an event. No skills but slightly better stats that get better around the city and of course you absorb everyones souls.
It also would be nice if they add a school system like the first game

However win I knew about the school mode I returned back to play it which was very enjoyable
And I would like to see it again
Also I would love to learn more about the three giant near Woodman house and the annoying Forest guys ( I really hate those people) however they have a really cool design

Buffing current contestants... ya everyone is weak but Osaa is limited, every fight is usually basic or a coin flip with magic to the head. Levi could use a more time before heroin becomes a problem, either just him or make heroin in general less persistent. Karin is strong already but could use a little something more, similar to Daan. It might be funny if Olivia got more late game abilities to really drive home how she's weak on stairs but secretly a menace. I'd really like a bug fix initiative or just polish the game that is there, a new game sounds nice and might come with lore but some people love F&H1 and would like to see that polished, expanded, more things in the back to explore or rng based events to experience, or given more attention. Still waiting on Dungeon Nights 2 but that might turn into a fanmade project with how huge and expansive that can be.
I kinda want to prod orange in the discord at some point to see if he's considered releasing new content for Termina in bigger chunks and selling it. I'm not sure how the community as a whole would feel about it but I'd honestly prefer to give the man more money for the large amount of effort he puts into his games.
@Chiefarino IIRC he doesn't want to do a patreon etc because it's not something he wants, there's also the possibility of the patreon making him feel lax or feel too rushed/obliged.
He said he never wants to do DLC as a separate purchase, and doesn't really need extra funding from something like Patreon anyway

I have been looking on the internet for a while now ( when I say a while I mean like for 10 minutes ) in how to mode the game and give myself items however I wasn't able to find anything
Except one mod that give you an item ( save book ) in the game which allow you to save for an infinite time ( which is very useful )
However I was looking for a mod that give you Pacific items in the game
For an example ( soul stones )
So if anybody knows a work around it I would appreciate it if you could tell me

I have a feeling that if there's a "save everyone" route, you'll end up having to fight a version of each moonscorched as a way of resolving their inner demons. It'd be crazy, as I'm sure you'll be gated for time and you'll ultimately be lacking a lot of skills in the Hexen as you're not killing. I'm not sure if tonally the game would benefit from a "save everyone" route though, but it'd be cool to see various "S endings" implemented.

mostly solo. There's 4~ music tracks made by Chilly, a couple of enemy designs by others, and of course he uses RPGMaker and a bunch of plugins by other people, but the majority is solo. It's definitely not any kind of tradition dev team situation
