- You can share your contact info with NameDrop. Just hold your iPhone near someone else’s iPhone, and you can both choose the phone number or email address you want to share.

would be great to be able to set more than one "contact card" with preselected contact information, and be able to switch between them automatically (for example with focus mode) so you will be able to set one for business and another one for your casual use. ;-)

Became a nuisance when I tried holding a family member’s phone alongside my phone. They would start sharing even when locked but with screen on
Like a week before this released i was just saying I wish there was a way you could fist bump someone and exchange contact info on the fly, cuz so often i meet someone cool only to never speak again. Pretty dope its becoming a reality.

No, No and No to all three that said « it does » no, you can only share only « ONE » only « ONE » number OR email you cannot share all your contact details at once. You need to « CHOOSE » only one email OR one phone number. Test before answering, share your contact card with someone and see what the hell they get… this is totally bullshit from Apple

Where is a user guide?
This is unnecessarily confusing. If my contact card has a bunch of phone numbers, private info and many emails, when I namedrop someone does it only send the phone number or email I select? Or the entire contact card with all info? Simple question that’s not explained easily anywhere.

Is there a way so I can get the contact poster my contact has set for their own into my contacts as well? I mean already existing contacts. I only know a way to customize a contact poster for a person in my own contacts only so I see what I have set for my own when somebody e.g. calls me. But can I also see the contact poster they personally have set?

If someone changes its Apple ID from email id to phone number it will show two different contacts for that. And chats will also divide.
Most of the times it won’t show contact poster when you call someone or receive call from them.
Also when you receive the SMS … notification image gets blank sometimes.
Predictive text and auto correct will slowdown your typing experience and facing lag while typing long texts.
P.S facing above issues on iPhone 13

it uses nfc to transfer the contacts and ipads don’t come with nfc. so even if they wanted to, they couldn’t add it to an ipad.

This feature has messed up my phone big time 😮 I use it with my son whom just got an iPhone 14 now I can’t call him at all. All I can do is text. Contacted apple they say to reset network….worked once, now my poor phone ( 12 pro max) won’t stay connected to Wi-Fi. Ugh!!! Disappointed

Does not work as intended… When we put our iPhones together, they will only show their „own“ contact poster but will not exchange these with one another

I am using apple since iphone 4 was launched and I have always liked their ecosystem but come one apple start giving good features in your non pro models as well.
