Today my sister's iPhone got stolen. thief removed the physical sim. but it had esim too. We only able to track 20min after stolen then it got quite. Apparently we cannot locate stolen iPhone when it was switched off !!!. My suggestion for apple is to make hard to switch off the iPhone, we rarely switch off our iPhones so they should require passcode to switch off when phone in lock mode or they can do based on location (when we in familiar location like work or home it's okay) Apple please consider this.
Hope in the next version of Find My it can alert people when the paired Apple Watch and iPhone disconnect. When I used an old Fitbit with my iPhone many years ago, this feature helped me to go back to pick up my iPhone immediately many times. Today, I left my iPhone behind but my Apple watch (GPS-only version) was with me. No alert until after an hour, I went back to my iPhone myself already. Then it alerted me I left my iPhone behind. Weird. 🙄

At 1:18 you can see her contacts names are written with blue letters well when i try to share my location with my friend his name appears with grey letters even though he has an iphone. Then it says the phone number does not appear to be associated with an iPhone. Am i the only one whose struggling with this?

Completely useless. I have two iPhones and wanted to share my location between them. This was a complete waste of time. No way to know how to get to the screens shown.
Utter garbage!!! All I am trying to do is set up my IPhone to locate my iPad and vice versa if need be. Nothing on the descriptions come close to helping me figure out how to set this up. I have tried for at least 5 years on and off to do this and it always ends in failure, everyone I ask can’t figure it out. It is such a basic thing to have, use one device to find the other, simple right? Apple can’t manage to make it work properly, yes Apple, not me. I might try again in another year when I have forgotten the absolute frustration 😡
