Hello, but do you still need to verify your stripe account? I am not from the us, i was able to put a stripe method in my store however my stripe account wasnt able to verify because of SSN
Hey Hannah, do i have to pay any fee to shopify if i use shopify payment? Im thinking of owning a shop on shopify and im a little confused about the fee charged from Shopify. TKX!
There is only the monthly $29 and you pay about a 3% merchant fee but this fee is unavoidable if you are processing transactions anywhere with credit cards
Hello, quick question as soon as the customer places the order does shopify take the fees automatically or you have to do that seperately? Sorry just ran into your video. Super helpful btw.
No worries at all Shopify will deduct fees like merchant fees from your payout but shipping fees, app fees or monthly subscription to Shopify will be bill ed separately to your credit card which I recommend you do so you can earn CC points
@@EcomHannah Ok I’m sorry still new at this trying to understand a little more. So they deduct the merchant fee right away? And I’ll get in my account what I earned from that sale?
@10:25 for some reason my fees are more than the 2.9% +30cents ? (im on the basic/cheapest plan) when I'm calculating them for example one of my sales was $97.89 and the fee was $5.58 so minus 0.30 is 5.28 and divide that by 97.89 and i get 0.0539 which is ~5.4% (payment through visa, im in canada and the person was from usa), I had another transaction that was also over the 2.9% 30c its been pretty difficult to find answers for this and I'm not entirely sure why I'm getting charged more?
It’s not going to kill you if you want to sell now but I would say if it’s your intention to grow the business I would set up everything to get it out of the way
I got a question. I am currently on Maternity pay and I can’t receive any income while I am on Maternity pay, so is there any possibility I could set dates of transactions into my bank account after my Maternity leave finish?

hey, i'd like to have my payments on the shopify payments but i have to put a TIN which i don't have obviously cause im starting so i cannot proceed dropshipping? I have a buisness paypal account but it is linked to my name and personnal adress email so i don't know if it is good or not. Think you could help me a bit? thanks!!
Hey Hannah, one quick question, i just setup stripe as a payment gateway to my shopify store, ran a test mode purchase and went through without any issues, now i tried a real transaction, but I received this message: your payment could not be processed at this time, please try again in a few minutes. Any idea what is wrong here.
so paypal can only collect money from paypal transactions right? and will definitly need a bank account linked to collect other transactions from shopify right?
Why does it say you have to wait 21 days before getting your first sell from the time you setup payments or all sell will be refunded to buyers, my launch date is tomorrow and I connected my business bank account and Shopify payments and I’m going to have to wait 21 days before going life to avoid refunds going out after I ship out product?
It shouldn’t refund anything to buyers but sometimes there is a grace period will the hold the money when you first start but nothing will get refunded unless you refund it
Is it better if I setup a business account with my bank, paypal, or both, because I’ve seen other people say that sometimes it hold the money for some reason?
you definitely want all money going into a business bank account but to collect payment I suggest you do accept paypal and stripe/shopify payments. Paypal can be annoying and hold funds but a-lot of people do use paypal so you do not want to miss a sale because you do not have it
