This was a good one. Love that you showed the symptoms and the cause for each kind of failure. In my case it was one corroded slide pin.

The way he used that pry bar to compress the piston is a rookie move, you press back on the old pad so that it retracts the piston evenly, ESPECIALLY with a multiple piston setup

Thanks for this and many other videos, I'm slowly getting the confidence to fix a truck I have in the driveway and the explanations are really helping me understand the why as much as the how.

    So I’m having a wierd issue on my 2014 F150 5.0 V8.
My front passenger side brake is engaging. I can hear it grinding while driving. When I lift my vehicle the driver side is fine but I can tell that passenger side is not rotating freely and I have to apply force to make it turn.
I also noticed that my outside pad has more wear than inside.
So far I have changed out the brake line, the caliper, bleed the system properly, checked my bearings, replaced my guide pins and lubricated all components, I can see brake pads moving freely in bracket when caliper removed but when I pressurize the system that one side is still getting stuck.
    I’m just so confused why.
The only thing I haven’t done is put new pads. Yes one side is more worn than other but there is still a lot of life left.
I have exhausted all my resources and I really need some guidance.
Why is this happening only on one wheel?
    Please help.

Brake components should be R&R’d every year or less. Grease drys out. I prefer oem or Molykote brand brake grease.

I DON'T KNOW WHY ALL YOU SO COLD MECHANICS DO THE SAME THING, YOU PUT TOGETHER A BRAKE SYSTEM AND NEVER EVER USE ANY BREAK GREASE ON THE CONTACT POINTS OR THE SLIDES OR WHERE THE BRAKE SLIDE ON THE HARDWARE. YOU'RE ALL GENIUSES😂😂😂😂😂
