Dave was one of the five mercenaries hired by Allistair Tenpenny to loot Fort Constantine. One of his many escapades after he abandoned the Kingdom of Tom. You need his key to complete the quest "You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head"
I love the story no matter if it's true or not
Yep. Dukovs key too. So unfortunate, he's such a fun looking character.
Killing Dave also gets you Ole Painless. The unique hunting rifle. It has the same 5 round capacity as a regular one but has the fastest hunting rifle reload time.
I have to say. The RoD’s defence force must be pretty darn good as they have never been overtaken by the slavers or mutants.
They don’t have that much of a defense force, it’s pretty much every single adult there making up the force... something a dedicated assault would easily overwhelm so the only reason why they weren’t even touched by raiders likely as to do with the location of the settlement given its extremely isolated from other settlements and doesn’t have any activity in regards to trading.
@@cursedhawkins1305 no shit dude. They have a little girl guarding the front gate. I am joking against the obvious as they are in a relative High level area of the wasteland and they survive anyways.
It is because they are afraid of president daddies(obviously daves last name) dick
I remember bringing a giant radscorpion in the RoD and locked it in while Dave and his family got slaughtered. Minus the kids of course. They ran away.
Best thing about this place is Ol’ Painless. Perfect starting weapon.
Perfect starting weapon if you already know about it, as it's unlikely that a new player will wander all the way to the corner of the map where RoD is.
P.S.: So it's usually more of "perfect weapon to stop wasting .44 or .308" on weaker enemies at long range.
"I don't know who put that tire there."
Has got to be the most hilarious line in any video game. 3:24
Geez, I laughed at that 😂
I felt kinda bad about the adults neglecting the children so I gathered up a bunch of books and toys and dumped them in the school house when nobody was looking.
"I dont know who put that tire there"
I'll never forget when my friend and I first found this place, we still to this day laugh about it. The Republic of Dave LMFAO
The republic of the peoples dave
You’re acting like that’s the only funny part is the name, the whole small area is brilliant
Aways tought RoD as a mock to north korea, since the three rulers so far have Kim in his name.
The tour sounds pretty propagandist like the ones in North Korea to. (You see this gift from another country. They gave it to us cause they are scared of our nuclear bomb)
2:37 She talks like North Korean government talks to their people about their leader
Only that dave is better
Literally took the words outta my mouth
Is number 5 that the leader is named dave lol
Dave didn't cry and his shit doesn't stink! :D
The Republic of Dave is the only place we see a child older than ten.
Ian west is 15
Incorrect
One of the many wonders brought to us by the grace of dave
Sticky from big town/little lamplight is sixteen, although he doesn't really look or sound like it
I don't like the fact you have to tamper with the box to get the "good" ending
Yeah, Bethesda should have given the option of making a convincing argument for other candidates to other voters. Or at least tamper with the ballot box by replacing genuine votes with the forged ones, instead of the nonsensical stealing of the 4 votes out of 5 and Dave somehow accepting the last remaining one as valid outcome.
I've really been enjoying binging these. I've learned some stuff I never learned in my countless playthroughs of this game! I'm hoping you'll do this for New Vegas at some point, it'd be great. Keep up this great work man. Thanks.
Glad you're enjoying the videos!
I do plan (one day) to do the same for New Vegas along with the DLC's for both 3 and NV 👍
@@Synonymous101 Ayyyy, I can't wait man. I've been binging all your stuff recently.
the best faction in the wasteland
Dave sit on the slab while you slain 4 Death law and Radscorpion to protect his sorry-ass, and he tell you to leave?. He should have made you Sergeant in arms.
Jeez. Dave’s reaction to losing is so realistic. Almost makes you think.
Great video man enjoy learning about small details, with a voice that smooth as Mr. New vegas
3:20+ following line is one of the reasons why I love Fallout so much.
I’ve been watching these at work thank you
You're welcome!
I mean, it is TECHNICALLY possible to walk from the U.S. to China. You would have to walk up through Canada, over the ice sheets which will be there in winter, down through Russia's, or in this case the USSR's, Siberia region, and down to China.
Now imagine doing that for a quest
@Jacob Wilson no they didn’t, starting the far harbor quest you hear that Kasumi’s father had sailed so far north that the water began to turn to ice, indicating that there is still polar ice
@Jacob Wilson i mean if it did melt then all the coastal cities would of been underwater, since that apparently was never the case the ice was never melted. I dunno why they would be, the north pole was not a target for nuclear strikes lol
@Jacob Wilson I would think that Fallout took the interpretation that any melt off from the bombs is counter acted by "nuclear winter" how accurate this is to physics I don't know but Fallout kind of took mid to late 1950's theories about the nuclear aftermath and ran with them mixing in a healthy dose of retro science fiction effects like mutations and insect gigantism.
That tour sounds a lot like the propaganda about Kim jong un and his dad... hence the republic of Dave
I tried to hear the tour recently and she just stood in front of the class and when I talked to her she left the museum 😂
Dave: Knows that exactly five people are going to vote in the election. Also knows for sure that at least he voted for himself.
Also Dave: Opens the ballot box, finds exactly ONE ballot for Rosie or Bob inside, accepts this as a fair election result.
Dave is so fair and unbiased that even basic math and logic can't affect his commitment. :)
Good to see Chinese ideals are alive and well after the war.
i started watching fallout secrets today, and i wish that i would have watched it before 10 years ago
awesome channel!
I wish we could bring a Deathclaw Skull to prove Dave horribly wrong.
Call it a Megadethclaw
When my girls walk into the bedroom "welcome to the Sheila Empire touch nothing!"
Edit: how much you want to bet the original leader was some kind of governor, senator or some other leadership role who still thought they should be in charge.
Edit 2: "see how you people do without me " uh you mean your family?
Please...no touching...
*Poor choice of words!*
I'd love to live in the Republic of Stevie Ray, but I'm afraid I... Couldn't Stand the Weather. Eh? Eh?
Dave has sent me here to inform you that he approves of this message but does NOT approve of you selling items and claiming that he has relation to them to his museum, he asks that you stop this at once or you will be thrown outside the fence. may Dave be with you all, good Dave.
Daves not here man
I'm gonna be honest. I STILL havent done any of the Republic of Dave missions. Its just so far out of the way and far enough away from other fast travel locations that I never ventured that far north east
It's worth it if not just for the Ol'Painless rifle. It's slightly more powerful than a hunting rifle and has zero weapon spread
A parallel to North Korea???
Dave
Stevie Ray paul 🎸
What’s the music at 4:08ish?
In fallout shelter when two dwellers are dancing that music sounds
So dave is based on the kims....😅
None of those were "secrets"
Are you sure there are no other consequences for electing a different president? The old wikia claims that Rosie renamed the Museum of Dave:
fallout-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Rosie
I want to also point out that some time after killing Moriarty at Megaton, one of the the two signs will change to now say "Gob's Saloon":
fallout-archive.fandom.com/wiki/File:Gobs.jpg
That's why I was wondering if there might be other such changes elsewhere, even if they take a while to kick in.
I may be wrong but I think I mentioned the Gob change in the Megaton video. As for the museum change I'm not sure, but I think what I was talking about in the video (it's been a while since I made it) was talking about how the settlement changes name depending on the ruler, rather than all changes that happen, hope that helps 😅👍
I always laugh at Shawna lol poor woman
To not entirely feel "bad" about taking caps from the museum because she said she use it for books so I deliberately rig the election to have Rosie win and sell prewar books to both the brotherhood person in Arlington library and to the museum person in the republic of Dave and /or "domecracy of rosie" kinda feels like I'm trying to sell books to them in the hopes that the kids there use them for educational purposes
Literally trump leaving office 😂😂
Republican Dave for 2023 he killed a death claw people worship this man it totally not a bharmin skull because it only one skull so, make Republican dav great agin
