Wow, I get chills everytime I hear this. It's such a complex, emotional song.
"When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die" - Favourite lyrics of all time now xD
not only is it a good song, but it teaches us a lot
'their is the occasional great person, but then are they truely good' That made me think of something on the radio a few days ago; people were talking about this film made about Martin Luther King's life as a human rather than a perfect icon, like how he drank a lot of alcohol, smoked, slept with loads of women, etc. BUT he still did many great things.

These lyrics show the sad reality in a musical way
i seen them live at download festival in 2007 and at sonisphere in 2009,they are absolutely amazing.definately one of the best bands in the world.
I really like this song. LP has gone deep in their songs before but I think this is the one that has gotten to me the most. Brings tears to my eyes and that's saying a lot for such a hard core band. Well done with the arrangement of the video
Linkin Park is just good, but this song blasts all records. I'd not be suprised to see many people here with it as their favourite song.

Yes, it most certainly does have a good message (more depth to it than just some song about being dumped or whatever...). Even if someone doesn't like this genre of music, I think they've still got to pretty much admit that the message behind it is amazing.

Linkin Park is as much truth as you'll get out of music today. And there was one line in this song that just took my heart as the whole song did. "Risk somethin'. Take back whats yours. Sya somethin' you know the might attack you for. 'Cause i'm sick of bein' treatd like i had before. Like it's stupid standin' for what i'm standin' for" Those lines right there made me think of how corrupt and medieval people are. How they can't except others beliefs. But hell, the whole song is true!

This song makes me think of everyone who dies in the wars we have. Im sad to think that we do this even though its with good cause it sometimes isn't. "with hands held high, the ocean opens up to swallow you" i think means that we don't do thing or do to many things that we forget whats right & its easy for things to get in & make itself bigger then it has to be. i may not know what this song actually means but it means something to me. it means more than anyone could imagine...
In the 1st verse he says "in the living room laughing like what did he say" that's when Bush slips up...
In the second verse when he says "both scared and angry like what did he say?"
I think he was talking about when Bush announced the invasion of Iraq - that sounds like a perfect fit to me.

most definetly one of the best songs written by linkin park, when i listened to this song for the first time, the way he describes everything is so meaningful, they should do another song alot like this on there next album if they decide to release it, seriously Minutes to midnight came out in 2007, its been 3 years now, i would REALLY like to hear something other than Justin Beiber playing on the radio.

I love the fact that linkin park makes it's words from songs as if they know if they where to complain about the world but nothing will happen but they decide to make a song about it a few artist do it but one's that do have my support they tend to be good bands exp linkin park i am proud to be a linkin park fan because of this song it proves that people can do some think against people with high powers if they really try.
