Nice one mate. I too, have cheap recovery boards and they have saved my rig from being bogged on numerous occasions. Goes to prove you don’t have to spend heaps just to go and enjoy things you love doing, and your vid proved it 👍🏼👍🏼
Haha i laughed at this video! Very amusing and definitely worth the effort! Makes the good spots even better knowing that you worked hard to get them!
Bahahahaha the ol simple plan feature was hilarious. Great work legends 👍🏼
Haha cheers James, we had fun making that one.
Always buy the brightly coloured ones, they are much easier to find in the mud.
And so much shinny er to the thieves ..
@@billdubois5223 they will take em regardless of colour…
lol you two have a great sense of humour. your videos and fb page are awesome.
Cheers mate!!!
Good live demo. Well done.
Awesome video mate ✌️
Great job Kurt hard yaka but worth it for that beautiful spot, plus you had a great cheer support. I think the less expensive versions tracks are just as good. Happy travels :)
Thanks Craig! It was one of best camps we've stayed at! It's about time somebody else competed in price with the tracks.
Ha loved the edit guys some funny stuff!
Thanks Rossato!
What a sparkie workn i dont believe it cool vid dude
18psi is not enough especially when you're dragging a van straight to 15 then go lower if needed you can go to ten with no fear of losing a bead as long as you aren't making hard turns at speed or getting sideways.
good clip good view
"A lot of hard work and effort, anything is possible" @5.10. ROFL.
Haha this was a fun video to make.
Looks like the straps on the recovery tracks are essential. I can imagine how easily they would disappear without them.
Yeah it just saves time as well.
Yep we used some Max Trax on the Gibb Road, some one elses and we bought some Trax in Broome about a $100 cheaper did we did use them on Francoise Peron..got us out and we did lower our PSI again though..
Nice one, Sandra
Hahaha so dramatic!! Love it :)
Cheers guys 😁
Gday Guys, nice spot well worth the effort especially from the lounge chair lol.. Did you chuck the lines in? Safe travels.
G'day Andrew! Yeah we fished off the rocks and caught a mackerel. There was plenty of whiting off the beach as well.
Get longer straps and hook them to your bumper.
Great idea mate!
how much do you usually spend on fuel a week i could see it being high with diesel at $1.60 and how much did the caravan cost
Tough question on the fuel as some weeks are more and some are less. We would say around $150-200. Caravan from a dealership was $27,000.
Meant to ask if you guys secure your van with a big ass wheel chain or something when you leave it and go off tripping, have you ever had anything knocked off??
It seems the longer we are on the road the less me lock things up. The more you get away from the cities the safer it has been. If we are ever sus about a camp we have a chain around a wheel and a hitch lock. We used to rope lock the chairs when we first set off but haven't done that in a long time. We haven't had anything knocked off.
Sparky's on the loose yeh that makes sense, more of a chance getting something knocked off in more populated areas. Happy travels 😊
Nice to know mega bucks on treads doesn't always buy happiness. The location, well that is epic. Where is it?
One of the best free camps in Australia!! Quondong, bout 50km north of Broome. Can't wait till next episode to show U guys.
@@Sparkysontheloose ...and how to get there! :) I'm already convinced and have it on my list of destinations.
Just get that gal . commercial walkway 'punched out' pattern of 'mesh' . . (cut into strips) . . used it only up north for bogs & it is't much heavier that that super priced plastic crap from super cheap
Have you thought about buying more boards and doing less digging?
Tempting but we don't use them a lot and we have limited space and weight.
Sparkys on, say, min. $65ph, shouldn't you have the $500 brand?🤣🤣🤣
haha bloody oath!

Did ok, but 2 things wrong, 18psi, no, should be down to at least 12psi on the car and van and next a better 4X4, no it's ok but a better 4WD is always good if you can afford it.
If i went down to 12PSI then then i wouldve rolled off the bead and be in even more trouble. The Nav is a very capable 4x4, in this situation any vehicle towing up that hill would struggle. But then again not many people would bother with this setup to even attempt it.
12psi you would be fine your not gonna roll it off the bead at 15psi I've struggled in sand and at 10psi walked up the section of sand no drama and at 10psi I'll limiter bash it over rough sand no issues with beads coming off
