- as per my previous channel update, I've been in touch with Super Cheap Auto and they have sent me out some gear free for review.
This weeks video is the Ridge Ryder Recovery Tracks.
With the help of a mate, we put them through their paces on Stockton Beach (NSW Australia) .

More reviews of the rest of the gear will be coming in the next few weeks including an install video of the RidgeRyder dcdc charger into the caravan.
Stick around. Lots more to come.
Another entertaining and useful vid. Cheers, as usual mate...Thanks for the vid!
Nol Z cheers Nol, thanks for the watch. We had a fun day out.
Great video on the recovery track info, it just shows that if you go to far then the tracks aren't going to make a difference. It was good to see the winch didn't work and shows people the need for multiple recovery methods when out 4 wheel driving. I feel some people think a winch & tracks will get them out all the time.
Cheers, Adam
Hey Adam,,
to be honest I was thinking exactly that at the time. I was so focused on getting it UP the hill, I wasn't considering going back as much as I should. Still it was all part of a test. On winching it was pulling the prado back down the hill. I was too stuck to move forward.
In the end, the easiest option of a snatch made it look too easy.
I like it, this is a honest video. It does not all go to plan.Thank you.
more than half the fun Bob , when it doesn't go right.
Was a great arvo testing the recovery tracks out.. for what they were put through the handled well.. I would go and buy them. But as stated no all the time the work especially when bogged that far.. but no issues when not bogged at bad 👍🏼👍🏼
next time, the prado is the test guinea pig
Oh for sure.. have to test other vehicles
After you turned on traction control (which is usually a bad idea on sand, but you were testing,) how long until you turned it back off?
I tried various settings on the day. turning everything off to get is sunk and back on 1 by one to try and get it back out.
I have the vlad TC mod, so I tried the normal tools and the TC with rear diff lock at one point.
In sand, I think the traction control off and diff lock on at low speeds works very well.
Good arvo trying out the recovery gear now we seen how it goes on the beach be interesting if ya can use them in the bush
that sounds like a challenge. I know just the place
just noticed on sale too $112 for members. bargain
I was asked once what the best recovery item to take with you. I said ALL of them.
And that's often what I pack for a day out. Just on case 😁
How did you manage to get this turbo discharge sound?
I haven't done anything with it mate. Just standard as far as I'm aware
i think that is because of the diesel engine .
What psi were you at??
Hard to remember but I would probably have been around 16 or maybe even as high as 18 trying to get stuck 😊
where to get that bumper sir ?
It's is an arb commercial bar in Australia
thank you sir.
sir one more question . www.pitstoparabia.com/en/road-venture-at51-kum-2177803.html
please check this tyre. its a 32" tyre. will this tyre fit a 17" stock wheel of pajero 2010. ? or will i have to use lift kit ?
You are welcome
My tires/wheels are 18inch but are 32inch also and I have a 2 inch lift. They rubbed a little after the lift but I removed the little mudguards on the front wheels and they no longer rub. I don't know if they would rub without the lift. I don't think so, but I'm not sure.
thank you sir.
can you recommend any lift kit ? i couldn't find any online.
@@UC3lp99Z5Ci1U97xn1z-IANQ why does the camera inside the car looks so good quality and the camera filming the maain part of the video looks just like crap?
Just lucky I guess
I would have never had tried going up but you were testing. Spin is no good
part of the fun mate and of course trying to make the situation as hard as possible.
It was all part of the test.
Hi dear
Pajero Very good car ...👍
But don't have R/D look 😉
I have pajero 2008 - 3800 cc R/D look 👍
Have a nice day dear...
They are a great car. Thank you for your comment. Merry Christmas 😁
So a massive fail then.
No, given reasonable expectations of any kind of recovery track and they work fine. In that last scenario, no type of track was getting me out of there. Fwiw, after using these more, I picked up another set on sale not that long ago. They get down to around the $100 mark every now and then.

Thanks for replying mate.
So early action is better than thinking that you could make it out.
I saw a disco bottom out last year in a wet field thinking he could drive himself out.
He was digging himself further and further in.
A tractor pull was the only option in the end.
Looked like you guys had great fun testing on that day.
Thanks for informative video.
most welcome. I've been very happy with them considering the price.
The only thing I would like to test them on that I haven't had a chance yet is to bridge a gap and drive over them.
Hard to create that situation but I have somewhere in mind. Just need to get there.
If was going solo on the beach, there's no way I'd go without them.
Just can't beat a simple snatch though...much less work :)
Any day out is better than a day in the office. Even if I had to let the toyota pull me out.
