I've been using Instagram since September and I'm honestly happy with my growth that's where my main fanbase comes from.
For like more than 7months.
We've been using it for about a year now and we have consistently grown. We've been happy with it so far
In the start, growth was pretty great but this was before watching you so engagement wasn't. And recently I've slacked off with all social media just to take a breather, but I am about to be at it again, thanks for you work !

Thanks for the great, timely vids. My best takeaway (because I wasn’t doing this) is to comment on things you Genuinely like, and going on related hashtags, pick people who engage, and come t and line in something YOU like. Even when I was saying to myself “ OK, what do you like Tony?” I found I was lapsing into doing what I thought would bring more people in rather than just relaxing and truly “being Social” and looking for the things that I am interested in (in the right place of course) . If you just try to do the engagement you figure will get you the most fans, you quickly lose energy, interest and find a week or more has gone by and you haven’t “done your socials” . JUST BE SOCIAL “ and be true to your likes!

The right video at the right time. I'm SO burnt out from going to #producer! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! I didn't know I could to hashtags that weren't producer related, and that people following don't have to be producers! so much of the content was looking at was of other producers and much of It i didn't even like. No wonder I was burnt out!

I did the challenge last year and got to 1,000 followers. 🙌🏼 Sitting a little above 1,500 now. One question I have though, is about targeting. Mine is a music page, I work really hard to create high quality, original content. I’m 18, and just finishing my senior year now. One thing I notice, is when I work through hashtags (that match what I’m doing which is predominantly blues and rock) I get mostly all musicians. I like interacting with musicians obviously, but I find it harder to find people who might be fans of what I’m doing that are not musicians. Id love to figure out a way to reach those people (who love acoustic blues and rock) but they wouldn’t necessarily be posting under a hashtag for music because they don’t make music. Any insight into something like that?
PS... this vid just motivated me to get back to pushing hard on IG, it’s slowed for me a bit as we finished out our last year of high school!

Can you make a video about the most effective type of content to post on TikTok as a music artist? I've been posting multiple times per day for a few weeks but haven't picked up any traction. I see a lot of artists have success driving traffic from tiktok to their spotify/apple music page, and getting even faster results than instagram growth ?
I love this idea. I would love to see a video about it.

I've been using Instagram since late 2016, i just posted personals pics/selfies I liked but latetly I wanted to create content (portait picutres of me) with a specific aesthetic and to make my personal page grow. Basically, I try to make my grow since 2019 when I started photography with a friend of mine. Okay so I've got to say, your methods for growing Socials definitely work. I know this because I did it, but I only did 3x3 & Instagram wasn't one of them. Nevertheless I posted some pretty awful content on it from time to time, & my following has been growing by itself.
I believe that this is evidence of a reason WHY your methods are effective that very few folks have realized yet.
Platforms now share data so as you trend on one there's a good chance you'll trend on another. This starts to resonate like a reverberating sound wave. People also have an awareness that just a few engagements can be harnessed to gain momentum. Always reply to comments. If not to be polite, do it to double engagements!
Another factor that I THINK may be giving people a false sense that the "Algo's not pushing them out" that's actually down to their distrust of the Web. You've got to trust the Internet to do it's thing. If you go into incognito browsing or use VPNs, I have a theory this breaks the chain of data flow.
I have let all my activity be tracked, I've not opted out of cookies etc. & I have reached a point where whatever I'm doing in that moment, on any Platform, there's enough data on me that the platform is almost expecting it.
As an example, I asked a well known Tech House producer if I could Remix some of his material. To my surprise he not only replies, he agreed, & sent me a Dropbox link full of treasure - 3 new unreleased singles, & the stems for each, so I could see how he lays down his tracks.
(Bear with me, this is relevant) So I'd had this conversation about how he makes his tracks. He sent me a link to a course started by one of the guys from Leftwing.
Just one interaction, right? Won't make much difference. Well, I went & turned on a different device to watch some RUclips, I wanted to watch some Comic book s**t. But there were loads of tutorial vids for Tech House. I've never searched that term on RUclips. Or Twitter (I use the tag). Nor Facebook or Instagram.
I've seen my SoundCloud burst into life because someone has commented on Facebook that the link to my track is awesome & liked the post. I've responded. Maybe got 4 engagements other than that.
But my Analytics tell me that the 20 new followers that came within a few hours after that DID NOT come through Facebook post. I hadn't posted the link anywhere else. SoundCloud themselves explain how this happens, so I don't understand people's doubt.
I also have to say that I've seen people in other (paid) "fan base growth & self promo" schemes panicking because they're not seeing return on investment. But when I ask if they're familiar with MMM they haven't, & I can only conclude that the reason things work better for me is that I treat the minimal basics of MMM as a crucial component of any campaign. Facebook Ads, Promoted Tweets, if backed up with at least a 3x3 5 days per week post policy (you can miss a couple of days) they'll work gangbusters.
The other possibilities include my music is brilliant & theirs isn't, but I'm NOT saying that. Maybe I'm being humble.
Anyway, there's my own experience.

Remember - don't treat the web like it's intruding into your life, trust it. It's hard, I get it, but so many people screw this up, for reasons known to them. They need to ask whether they're all in or not. Because if they say yes but don't let the data get collected, the internet won't get to know them, so people won't either.

I have a big question Adam, I’m a teenager living with my mom. I’m a singer songwriter, I have good music. I’m trying to advertise my music. But I’m limited on how I can advertise due to my age, which is damaging how I advertise. How do you affectively advertise as a let’s say 14,15, 16, 17 years old? And my parents aren’t always willing to let me do a lot of this advertising strategies. What do I do? I hope you get this? Thanks.

Hey Adam, just have another topic I would like your expertise when you have the time to answer. So I have several interests involving my career and side hustles. I am a USPTA Elite Tennis Pro, High School Business Teacher, High School Tennis Coach, I have extensive Accounting Background, Own and Operate a Tennis Academy, have three pretty entertaining and interesting kids, and one of my passions and I think talents is singing. Problem is I am trying to incorporate all that into my RUclips Channel, Instagram Accounts, Facebook Accounts, Twitter Accounts, and LinkedIn Account! I am growing but I am afraid I should be concentrating on one aspect and not all of them if I truly want to grow a brand. And speaking of brands, when I re-evaluated everything it looks like I have 7 brands and not focusing on any of them! Any feedback, no matter how critical is very welcome...

If producer and artist have an agreement for a beat, and they split royalties totally 50/50 ( writers and publishers share) , is it still possible for the artist to own 100 % of the masters or can he only own 50 % of it since it is linked to the publishers share ? I am not sure if those two things go hand in hand

There is a market for everything. There is not necessarily a big market for everything.
What is your goal?
Can you make your content more engaging in its presentation?
Is your idea that nobody is interested into this leaking into your presentation and making it more dull?
How do you capitalize on the niche you're talking about? You don't need a large market for good interaction. You need good presentation for your small market.
