Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay, but I've gotta take a couple days off RUclips to finish up some work that's due next week. Gotta pay the bills somehow! Part 8 will go up Sunday 12/30 and then videos will continue regularly! Thanks for your patience.
Great contents as always, I’ve been watching your tutorials on and off for years, I wish I found your channel sooner before wasting money on music school. Thx you for doing what you do.
I hope Apple and RUclips are paying you for the great work. I think Apple in particular should sponsor you for drawing people to Logic...they have deep pockets anyway.
I can’t believe how granular you managed to get with this in 30 mins man - epic work - I’m learning so much! Thank you for taking the time to put all this together! 🤘
Thank you so much for these videos. I couldn't imagine the amount of work it takes to make just one of these, and the fact that you've provided us with so many tutorials is amazing. Truly, thank you!
Great work. This is the first ES2 tutorial that has made complete sense to me without raising anymore questions. The old UI seems really daunting at first but now it seems more like a super useful tool that I can utilise without having to pick presets.
Like many of Logic's VSTs and Plugins, the ES2 seems to be a very powerful synth but due to its old look, it is many a time underestimated. I found the ES2 quite daunting to learn but this video has really helped, especially because I want to get into sound design in the future. Thanks so much.
NotNerd totally agree. Apple have gradually been updating their plugin GUIs. ES2 and Ultrabeat should be at the front of the list for a new coat of pixels!
Wow! You are so nice to listen to and learn from! My brain can barely handle how awesome you are for putting so much detail and effort into your explanations! Without an ounce of exasperation to boot!
You are awesome thanks for the detailed explanation is what I was looking for but could not find on RUclips and then finally someone suggested me about your channel thank you so much love from India.
Keep up the good work! you're great at explaining everything, and even as a semi competent user of Logic I'm learning a lot from these videos. Looking forward to the next installment
First comment! And would you believe it, after several failures, I finally get here before the first dislike. Great video, again, and thanks for creating and sharing.
Man, thank you so much for all these videos! I studied classical composition, and all of this stuff used to be very intimidating and foreign to me. Until I found your tutorials, that is! Question: you mentioned that once you engage FM through OSC1, the other ones become modulator waves, and OSC1 the carrier wave, i.e. the signal is routed from 2 and 3 through 1. What if 1 and 2 are in FM mode? Does OSC3 then route through OSC2, then OSC 1? What if all 3 are in FM mode? Then all of them are carrier waves, but what are they modulating? Sorry if it's a dumb question, or if it ultimately doesn't matter. I just tend to be a little anal like that when I learn something new, haha.

Man, these just keep getting better. By far, the best Logic Pro series I've seen in a long, long time. Thank you.
@Rui Guerreiro Completely agree!
Completely Agree - this gets deep

Wow, ES2 is so powerful, love it.
Surprisingly good and powerful for an old synth. Sometimes, you just don't need to pull out Alchemy for every situation.
Great series Josh, really learning a lot. Cheers
