@@DannysAnglingBlog at least you know where they are. You could do an Irish style prebaiting session and go back in the morning Would love to see if that worked :-)
Top angling Danny. I think the current close season is about right but I do believe the 3 months close of waters could be a bit more flexible maybe April to July or February to May or what ever it needs to suit the weather and the spawning fish of any particular water,👍🇬🇧🎣
cheers matey, agree re closed season it does seem to need a change to move with current climate at least, looking around barbel and chub are yet to spawn on the rivers and we are two weeks in
Great water Craft perfect timing to put the two big balls of Groundbait ! What a Cracking couple of Bream around 7lb ! Worth the trip for them alone Dan ! The pike a pain ! But an enjoyable session as always ! Cheers Dan 👍😀👍
relentless those pike mate but fish did keep moving back in after a while im sure there was more than 2 pike pos 3 on me. Yeah pitty didnt have more as i am sure would have had a decent net of the bream as bumped one so more about, imagine what size the shoal could be if moved in in mass
@@DannysAnglingBlog Thanks Danny. The beauty of these blogs apart from the skill shown is how familiar all the venues are to me!The Dane Weaver,Ribble, the cut!and the pits in Cheshire!fished 'em all mate! Great memories!Look forward to the next one.
Wicked day on the river..............I was walking round a lake the other day and the same thing happened to a guy fishing, a pike grabbed a roach he was bringing in. I grabbed the landing net and we were able to land the pike and take up the other end of the lake, poor roach didn’t do so well. Any way great to be back river fishing the carp are ok but, it’s a bit same. Good luck this season Danny.
Yeah does not end too well for the roach most of the time!!, know what you mean with the carp vids, very hard to make different, only real thing can change is rigs and bait but good fun to fish. tight lines matey
I have matey and in the past i have done so but in time i have found you split your concentration on two rods then and dont do either well, better to do one type of fishing 100 percent than 2 at 50 percent just my thought on it mate
slabba dabba do danny👍🎣 lets hope it's not the last june 16th, I kind of like the way it is now although it does leave our rivers more open to poachers when nobody is around?, there's good and bad whichever way it goes I guess?👍
lets hope so mark but agree totally the more time goes on with poaching and the more i see it on the canal the more i fear for our rivers for those 3 months, i will miss the glorious 16th feeling but moreand more its becoming and acceptable comprimise
Hi Dan. Can i just ask. Is it possible to fish a polaris float in a river ? I ask as one I’ve never fished a river apart from the Thames when i was a kid. Anyway, would like to know as going on holiday soon to the river Yare. Any help would be gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance.
polaris or flat float? proper polaris floats than slid up the line and lock under tension i would normally fish a deep still water using to be honest not a river. but flat floats are a video i plan to make
@@DaveBoothangler cheers matey, felt weird not blogging it or speaking to a camera lol, was good fun and never been so happy see a big snotty bream in my life lol
@@DannysAnglingBlog Used to fish a place on the trent years ago below a weir and float fishing was out of the question due to a thick layer of foam.Dont surpose anywhere will be that bad these days!Nice fishing Danny cracking bream!
Bolo method is normally used for deeper swims say 10 to 18ft. A bolo float is like a big pole float and is fished with a bulk shot or olivetter to get the bait down in the swim. The word bolo is short for bolognaise fishing as the origins of bolo fishing are.from italy I think where they use bolognaise rods 15 to 20ft fmdeep telescopic rods chris
No the float is attached like a stick float mate why they use bolos on long rods. Bolo rods can be anywhere up to 20ft. If you do end up in swim deeper than your rod then you would then have think slider or feeder
Great to see someone who hasn't been turned too far to the dark side by specimen hunting and still enjoys "proper fishing".
Fantastic net Danny, those bream were colossal. Loved the video as ever!
cheers
some fight eh!! just wish i had taken more ground bait, great fight on the light rod. thank youfor continued support jason ;-)
