The best car mod is moving to somewhere where they don't salt the roads -_-
100000/100000 agree with this.🙌😅
Underated comments
Then I gotta buy an eBay wheel and tire setup because a mortgage somewhere that it’s always warm and sunny is gonna be triple what I’m paying in good ol’ Indiana.
lmaoooo if this ain’t the truth
Andrew Neumeyer idk about that one lol

That's the joke! 😂

If your car has 500hp with great tire but excessive camber (stance) you are going to fxxx break. Lol
As a Subaru WRX owner and a Subaru Ambassador, I concur! Thank you for helping out the vape kids. I swear I see it every day on the forums.
Oh yeah. Its cancer.
Wtf is a Subaru Ambassador? I mean did you get voted in that spot or were you born into it...? I’m just curious (maybe just blissfully ignorant) and would like to know.
I enjoy these videos even tho I don’t have a car, but I’m learning what to do and what not to do, thanks for these videos I appreciate it and learn off of it, Alex need to chill out tho😂
For me it's "less grip more fun" so 40 dollar tires in the rain are the best😁
Definitely, especially for slower cars
So wait how did you get kicked out of your last building?
Mighty car mods showed that you get better lap times with better tyres Vs better coilovers
Both are important tho 😋
@@silashvidt120 yeah for sure. I'm saving for coilovers for my car. (I'm going for my racing licence and I want to do motorkhana and stuff). Also I will need new tyres soon, so I'll get either nakang ns-2r or Toyo proxes t1-r
How do people spend so much money on cars 😭😭 I'm tired of being broke
It's simple, I go onto uber eats or whatever, calculate the cost of my meal, swap it to my second account and by that time the waters boiled for my 1 dollar 5 pack of noodles
I currently eat Volkswagen soup, I mean ramen.
@@NERvRE real shit
You gotta cut back on other luxuries if you want extra money to mod cars, stuff like buying a second hand phone instead of new and not partying / drinking every week.
Its not the most expensive thing to do, several of my friends spend more on cigarettes alone a week than i do on cars.
If I can have a reef tank and get into cars you got this
I had never truly respected you until this video.. Seeing how you handled large scale disagreement made me realize how you would handle disagreement on a large platform. There is a lot of helpful info on this channel, and to see you handle the pressure professionally, as well as making consistent content. Will be subscribed from here on out!
Good tips Alex. I learned on my previous car/97 Pontiac gtp I did a few engine mods and never got a proper tune. Had lots of issues, I never fixed them. Lol wish I did. Something I've learned. My 04 gtp I have now I'm waiting till I have all the parts I need to mod it. Taking my time
The K&N Typhoon for a Miata costs $250 and gives you 3.5HP at 6500RPM.
I would recommend driving your car for a bit before modding your car. Especially if you autocross or track your car. Leave it stock then build from that. Driver mod is the least expensive thing you can do for your car. But that if it's your route, some people just leave it stock, some ppl like to make it looks cool. But if you want to mod your car for performance. Learn about it first.
5:50 that's the good thing about building a project car on a budget. putting new mods on it every six months or year gives you enough time to sort out any problems that might've come xD
I’m currently working on my 16’ Rio, by no means is it fast but I’m planning to upgrade the brakes/lines, wheels and tires, small amount of lowering done, strut bar and rear 6 point tie bar brace to stiffen it up and give it a stiffer ride and reduce the chassis flex. It’s a daily driver and I love how casual it is. Plus the mpg is around 34 avg which is cool for daily driving. Fi is the shit! Keep up the great content. 🙏
Thank you for the support!
When are we getting an "at the end of the day" fitment t shirt?
I have it in a file.. Just waiting for the right time 😁
You are absolutely right about doing the upgrades one at a time, I'm doing my suspension components right now and then I'm saving for the brake setup before I put the forged internals, Y8 head, intake manifold, 70mm throttle body, 550cc fuel injectors, ramshorn exhaust manifold, 68mm turbo, teensy 4.1 Speeduino and other parts into my build....
Excellent advice regarding tires. Brakes will win or lose an event. Crucial. As is a tune on a given car, especially when dealing with forced induction. On a turbocharged car I'd strongly suggest T-bolt clamps. A performance alignment is important, assuming the car's geometry is intact. The favorite mod on my Evo is a trunk net - prevents supermarket items from turning into cruise missiles on the way home. If your car was optimized from the factory, think twice before modding anything. Good luck.
There's a place called Toppers in my city and it's definitely not wholesome. It's a strip club. 😂
Even the brz, its recommended to keep the stock intake box. Its already a cold air intake
I agree with taking your time with building your car I have a 95 mustang that is turbocharged it took me 2 years to do because of money dont fall out of the sky now I'm finshing the suspension on it all new control arms and prothane bushings and coil overs can't wait to get a alignment and see how it handles.
Plasti Dip sucks..............
The most helpful thing in this video was when you said to install your mods in steps instead of all at once, because I had never thought of that. I'm still a little ways away from having a project to work on anyway tho
I do the same with my car, its a good way of knowing how effective each mod is, and if your car runs like shit you don't have to figure out which of the 10 mods caused it.
Gets true cold air intake.
Hydrolocks engine after first hard rain.
Happened to me😏
Just bought my coilovers cant wait to slap them on!!!
An ECU flash and quality wheels and tires would both be my number 1
I bought Brembo Discs and Pads for my golf and I've really noticed the difference. Stopping is so much quicker now. I approve of that
You forgot one important thing. Enjoy doing car stuff!
I Definitely jumped all in with my s13 drift car. things seem to be going somewhat fine. But definitely did my homework on each aspect. Only road bumps I run into are stubborn volts and seized ball joints to knuckles. Bought all parts from full suspension to big brakes dual caliper setup hydro t28 turbo power fc wideband and boost controller and all sort of other little goodies. But not gonna lie. Most of the parts are still sitting on the shelf but that's mainly due to my procrastination. Depression is a Bitch. Literally sucks all the genuine motivation out of you. And the whole point of buying the car to drift was that I was banking on it being so fun that it motivates me to do more in life so I could actually e joy life. I should have 2 FBO cars right now lowered with all sorts of goodies but I'm here pacing around my living room watching your vids. I've already done 4 miles according to my step tracking app and it's 11am 😕
I wish u the best of luck bro
Finally someone mentions not doing everything at once.
Spoiler #1 mod that helps all cars is lambo doors.
Awesome video I enjoyed watching itv

Now I still want a 2.5” lift kit spacers for my 2015 Scion xB rather aftermarket coilovers suspension, and if I lift my xB for about 2.5”....is it pointless to have a an aftermarket coilovers suspension and not adjusting anything and keep the same height? Or just keep the OEM suspension?
@FitmentIndustries
What do you think about a 2006 honda accord ex v6. I got some nice looking wheels on but they are cheap and it also has some cheap coil overs. I want to increase power on it with a very tight budget what should I do?

Any opinions on the firestone firehawk indi 500?
Well I installed automatic retractable ice spikes in my tires on my Aston Martin, when I got stuck in heavy traffic in Iceland _(and believe me the traffic in Iceland is murder)_
They came in handy.
No such thing as a "cold air intake here in Phoenix" a drop in works better. Also quality tires are a must on these °200 streets!
Also big shots to Ksport! I have the kontrol pro's made Right here

Know someone that took out the airbox in their grom and its not a night and day difference (obviously) but you can definitely feel the difference.
How much was the repair bill after the throttle body went out?
What is the wheel 2nd from the left top row? Please keep making videos :)
Believe those are the Cosmis Racing MRII!
He guys,
I need help, I am looking for a budget wheel that is pretty much the watanabe wheels but in 17” for my r31 skyline. I have looked everywhere, even Alex’s VLOG Channel with his Atara Wheels, there are non in 17” can you help me find some?
Thanks, cheers from Australia
Hello, Hmmmm might be a bit tricky! However if you shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com we can help you with this!
Can you guys make a video on how to prevent tire rub when lowering your car and/or increasing tire size?
Do myths of air suspension
It sucks, but the previous owner did cut the frame so my opinion could be wrong.
Speaking of tires, ironically the random set of tires I put on my work truck that no joke are called and have written on the side "Ling Long Crosswinds" and are a generic brand amoung the most generic of tires Lol but they work great and have been some of the toughest I've ever had on a truck. And they were super cheap Lol 😂
My tyres no joke are branded "triangles" on my daily and to be honest they aren't bad
Thank you!

Would gold rims be nice on a white evo?
Do you guys have recommendations on videos for how to tune suspension or would y'all mind making one

@@FitmentIndustries sounds awesome! Ill keep my eyes peeled for it.
What's the name of the wheel directly behind you're head with the straight and narrow spokes?

You guys are the best this Chanel should have already 3 M subscribers
Just bought a 2005 G35 3.5 rwd and when I go over 40 miles per hour I hear a loud humming noise from the front I know the suspension the shocks control arms are all shot out also this car lacks power would you guys recommend a shop or maybe I could take it to you guys and get this car running like it's supposed to be it's a really fun car and it's the only thing I can say is mine so I really don't want this car to get worse than what it is. Please, give me an answer to this question: Can I install an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system (Invidia R400) on my 2019 WRX (that is otherwise completely stock) with the stock tune. I can not get a reliable response to this question.
Are all season tires any good
Absolutely! I love my set of All Season Continental's on my Speed3 they are a dream!
Just bought a Corolla Hatchback and this the first car I'm ever going to mess with.
So far every RUclips video I've seen says
1. Tires
2. Rims
3. Brakes
4. Coilovers
5. Suspension
So what I'm getting from this is, not to worry about the engine performance yet but to first worry about the handling?
Basically you cant mess those things up and they are a good foundation. Messing with the engine, you can make it worse.
I got toppers in SoCal, Truck drove for them for a while.
Toppers! Soooooo gooood!
RIP Alex, Dakota's comback is gonna be huge!
This video is what people need to see. People definitely skip steps.
They don't even read instructions
G37 was looking MINT in the thumbnail
But how do you know how to dial in the suspension ?
We are working on putting something together for you guys on this, However in the meantime it would be best to check out a car forum for a detailed answer!
Do you do a tune before or after adding a mod that affects power?
Right after install!
That g37 clean af
Do one mod at a time and get it to work step by step, or just go all out and spend time fine tuning all the bits to work
“At the end of the day” gang where you at 😂
As soon as I read this he said “at the end of the day”

Referencing the beginning of the video...
Why is that everyone out side of the ‘mid west’ calls everything between California and New York, ‘the mid west’? Genuinely curious lol.
I was so confused when he said that also. I'm from SW Ohio, at the very border of OH,KY & IN... so when someone says MidWest & I really know it's Central it actually annoys me.
Great question, Maybe its just what people are used to saying their whole life!
I was waiting for an undertray segment.
Alex rocking that Johnny Depp haircut...
That haircut came with a wallet chain and combat boots with lightning stickers
Jk😅 i dig it
So what I'm hearing is I should take my stock car to the dyno and tuning the ECU and Suspension, and it would be pretty cool on its own. I believe it!
(Edit: mispelled believe)
Thats what im saying ? I got a stock 97 Honda civic DX and wouldn't mind tuning it for more HP for less gas mileage 😂
Where is the video about suspension that he mentioned at 8:15 ??
I can actually attest for the brakes and tires one not only in a performance aspect but also safety. New and better perf brake pads and rotors saved my ass from getting T-Boned at a intersection one day from a guy who blew a red light. My old tires and pads/rotors would have had me sliding right into getting hit. The new stuff gripped like hell. My next two investments will be braided lines and calipers
Braided lines from what I have read actually are more dangerous than rubbers. The sligtlyyyy better response braided give you doesnt cancel out the higher failure rate
Hey can I get help finding a list of directional wheels?
Shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you!
*Toppers sounds like misspelled Tapas*
It boggles my mind when I go to a track day or autocross and see a car with $4000 wheels...and tires that were clearly chosen by going to tirerack.com and filtered by "Sort by: Price (Lowest to Highest)".
Okay, to be honest, that's probably not fair because there's great tires out there that don't cost an arm, a leg, and half a testicle (Conti Extreme Contact Sports) but you get the idea.
But, but mah donked out cutlass.
No use destroying expensive tires if you're just there to drive faster than the highway allows
