I'm gunna defend getting manifolds for the FRS/86/BRZ real quick. If it's not the new 2022+, they're absolutely worth it. Most aftermarket exhaust manifolds are designed to help kill the torque dip the car is infamously known for. Added with a tune can add more horsepower, but more importantly, a way better torque curve
agreed, paired with a tune you can easily make 15 - 25horses (some more some less). 20 more horsepower at the wheels is more than 10% of the stock HP so it is very good on the car
Big brake kits don't mean better stopping power. If you want to stop faster, get better quality brake pads, or multi-piston calipers. Bigger brake disks help heat dissipation, but not outright breaking performance, the same thing you could get with slotted or drilled brakes for less money. Unless you're going to track your car, you don't need bigger brake calipers, slotted/drilled&slotted disks are fine
I've been in many E46's , M3's and non-M's with stock rotors and just a good brake pad, EBC, Hawk outperform a lot of BBK, they look cool, but the car is already kind of light, you don't need all that brake.
Bought a car with all of the mods explained in this video i can tell you its a difference worth the money Also Nice thing to do is install a better camshaft great for more power in higher rpms and depending in the car not that expensive And an exhaust manifold is definetly worth the money of you have an aftermarket echaust system
No.1 (!) Oh, I've seen so many cars with cool wheels, lowered and w/ front splitters etc. that haven't been serviced properly (even basics). Thumbs up!
That was pretty cool indeed when I modify my dream car in the future I am going to do tons of research. 'Cause technically speaking I don't really know anyone who can help modify my car anyways but that's ok I am willing to work with my hands.
I just recently prepped my car for ORP. Fresh dot4, ebc yellow, new tires, and then they canceled the track day. Now i'm super set for daily driving till the next trackday lmao. I hate the noise on the street of trackpads but it stops night and day different over the stock pads. Great point on pads.
@@Ls_corvette yes they are, i confirm that, makes weird whinney noises after i got it to ~50k RPM spool for 13 psi(K24 block), had to de-house it & reassemble the two sleeve bearings with better oil(i use soy mix lubricant), but she's just a dummy test for my new long block build, mostly up to 15psi for max safe runs, but for 1/4 of the price than say a Precision Turbo or GT35, what a toy to have fun with! 😂
I drive over a mountain pass every day for work, and sometimes just for giggles. I got a used 2015 Corolla S prior to the whole increase in pricing. I changed most of the fluids that were older, but I do need to get better brakes and tires. While they're decent enough, I want something that can grip a bit better. Then I'm gonna get a better suspension
Driver/Rider Training is by far the most overlooked Mod of all, but to get the best out of your vehicle it is a must that You know what you are doing, there is no point putting Mods on that you will never be good enough to get the use of, but you have to be honest with yourself about your ability, this Mod will not only make you look good it will save you money & it will be with you forever unlike that shite exhaust you bought that got sold with the car/bike.
I didn’t change my transmission oil when I serviced my Volvo S60, I thought about it, but decided “meh it is probably going to be fine”. And then my Transmission “blew up”, the differential (which is part of the M56) failed completely and it also blew the right side drive shaft clean off at the inner CV joint.
Im 16 rn 17 in may, so nearly a years time. And ill be getting a 7th gen honda civic. What do u suggest i do to it. Im thinking start off with cheap interior stuff, and less power stuff. So interior, tyres/rims, maybe aero kinda design stuff but not much, just small lip on front. Then i think after like a few months ill get just sport exhaust, like just the tip where the silencer is. I think I'll only improve big parts after a years tume when i got more money
Up to date maintenance isn't a mod, it's being a responsible car owner. Learning more driving skills and how to use your car properly ALSO isn't a mod. It's being a responsible car owner.
Same I was wondering the same thing yesterday when it was published, but they probably private future videos up until the day of release if I had to guess
I live well without the Mods, Magneride Suspension Dampeners are better than After Market, and I barely Clear my Driveway. It's on an Upslope with a steep incline. Neighbor's always bottom out and ruin front and rear Facia, and forget splitters if it weren't for the factory it barely clears approach angle. Good show though 👦🏻👍🏻🏁🏎 I have canyon run on my channel
I made a front strut tower stress bar and a bolt at each corner of the hood. Designed an underbody/splitter using things that I learned in Alexander Lippisch's home shop. Nazi aerodynamisist. Me 163 ect. Sucked my Tercel to its front bump stops in a 94mph corner. Oops!
Not me looking up these videos at 15 with no car, no licence, no money

It won't always be that way.

Ok, Seth Rogan

Don’t forget good tires!
Nobody: uses Lenz's EM discs to recharge car battery while braking..
Unless the brake "upgrade" is lighter than stock (unsprung weight is king) then it's probably going to make your street car dangerous.
so we only got two actual horsepower mods huh. I came here for power, not everything else.

About to get my car after 1 and a half year. So excited

@JOHNNYSTATELAWRP ?
Loved it Trav. Thanks for the great start.

The lighter you are the faster your car.... me removing my engine 😌
Excellent video. Very smooth delivery.
I am 12 but am interested into cars and stuff so i hopefully will do these tunes on my first car 😊
best thing to do is to start out with a cheap car at 12 and have ur parents hand over the title when u get older
You just gotta have the money for jt
yeah consider detailing your neighbors cars if you do good you can make good money thats what i did
Exactly the video I needed since I'm modding my Civic right now.
That was pretty cool indeed when I modify my dream car in the future I am going to do tons of research. 'Cause technically speaking I don't really know anyone who can help modify my car anyways but that's ok I am willing to work with my hands.
what is your dream car?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, super helpful.

Ideal:
1. Maintenance
2. Tyres
3. Brakes
4. Driver Skills
5. Suspensions
6. Energy Performance(power)
7. Weight reduction & Chassis Rigidity
Me:
1. Cheap Aesthetics
2. Coilovers & Swaybars
3. Interior Luxury & Support struts
4. Cheap Ebay Turbo test kits & DIY tune
5. Weight reduction & aftermarket tested performance parts
6. Tyres, Exhaust & Intake, Aerodynamics, Dyno pro tune, Lights & aesthetics
(Maintenance & wear check on a regular basis)
Close enough! 😉
eBay turbo aren’t they like shit

When I had my first gen Scion my brakes were the single most expensive mod on my car. Had to convert rear from drum to disk.

Have you ever modded your car? What have you done?
Based on the first item in the list, this should go VIRAL
6:01 you my guy, Are in a dangerous spot there🤣
Edit: I can see him in Home Alone as a burgler with his head on fire😅
I thought of these same mods! Not in this same order but yee! Great advice for any newcomer to the car scene! 🤙

Honestly at least if you crash it into the side of a mountain you won't feel bad
Lower the suspension, or raise the ground clearance and put in stainless steel skid plate.
nice video bro

I watched this yesterday 🤔
I love the vids you do ideal car media :D
I guess I did it backwards. Just completed the deferred maintenance the PO ignored. Now I’m ready for mods. Agree?
Agreee 100!
What mods for performance would suggest for a seat ibiza to improve bhp
I have a c5 I’ve heard that headers don’t do much and also they fuck up the engine because of the heat
For real. I have a 2002 focus svt and it came with a aftermarket header so the engine bay is hot after a spirited drive.

Should I lower my car before I do anything? I feel like any mods would be silly with stock suspension
My ad was 3 mins long and UNSKIPPABLE
Add a NOS to your car this the best thing you can do after all these steps.
Every expert mechanic says never change your transmission fluid unless you have transmission issues
I love the Truex Cement Cutter Clip😭🤣

what should i do i have 2 cars 1 miata and 1 plymouth duster i did tyres rims and exhoust any tipps what i can do?
Always work on handling before u work on suspension
The tune is the only thing in that video that has something to do with horsepower
What was that clip where the indy car was driving through New York City
Wasn't that video yesterday?
Haven't seen you in a while
Do a truck upgrade edition of a topic like this
How do you know? 2:25
Wonder why this was privated the first time
Same I was wondering the same thing yesterday when it was published, but they probably private future videos up until the day of release if I had to guess
They reposted video because in some part it didn't have sound
yeah for some reason the sound got cut out... hope you enjoy!

Happy days
Trav which cars do you own?
step 1: by the biggest wing you can find.
Me with a 1.6 gsi corsa 🤣 these mods are almost as expensive as the car itself
Can someone name that movie that was playing in the back round?
Yup, familiar, hey, where's Squid these days?
May i get european verzion of thos videowe here have 69x harsher car upgrade laws(i dont know why)
Did I hear persona 5 music at 7:01 it sounds like it. I love persona if my pfp wasn’t a clear indicator of that lmao
"Best parts to maximize power cheaply" *proceeds to talk aboit upgrades that dont add any power*
it's your car - do whatever you like
Do this but wity trucks
"Kinda common sense stuff here fellas"

rx7 go BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP BRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
cool how almost none of these have anything to do with horsepower
Green on bottom of hat lip is annoying as it shows thru on the green screen
“Maximise horsepower” and “upgrade brakes” the clickbate is crazy
Yes sirrrrrr
i wanted to kno how to make da car faster.
Oops!
hi brad
This is ridiculous. We all know the most important part of your car's maintenance is the blinker fluid.
Literally none of these actually do horsepower lmao
Suspension, Tires, and brakes do NOTHING for HP
ooooo that was 33
Redo of video from few months ago
Why would you just say replace trans fluid with no history of the trans history
The first 4 are not even to do with horsepower what is wrong with you
hi
Usless
bunch of yapping
I’ll subscribe if you show me something I don’t already know
Stay tuned! Thanks for watching
