After the 8’s, Nanos have just looked and felt like big clunky shoes, lightweight or not. Much prefer the smaller footprint of the Metcons. Thanks for the review Joel!
@@dobromirgospodinov2042 yeah they’re great. I used to work at Reebok as a manager and I wore my 8s all day every day! I preferred to wear 6s to train in though. Also the 6s look way better but the 8s were just so comfortable.
@@Jerahzz I’ll try the 6s eventually - I ran my first half marathon in my 8s that I was also using for daily wods..and didn’t have any issues, how incredible!
Just bring back what was good about the 8s and add to it like lowering the drop to zero etc. I was able to track them down in my size and they felt amazing compared to the newer ones. 9s and beyond are brick trash, just like Nike Metcons. I love my Vibram KSO EVOs and Vivobarefoot Primus Lites. Maybe next I'll get the Inov8 210v2s unless your 245 F-Lite review convinces me otherwise which will be rough due to the offset.
I loved the Nano 6´s and 8´s, i Got this and hated it. The heel to toe drop felt to much like a running shoe, and the heel support stabbed into my ancle. Sent them back and odered a pair of metcon 6
Any chance of a review of the Viktos PTXF core 2. For something that looks good there’s very little on RUclips about it, and that’s almost all from the tactical rather than gym scene.
Is the float ride the entire midsole or just the front half of it? I would much prefer just the front half for forefoot strike running while having a stiffer heel for lifting.
Hey Joel, I have a bunch of friends who wear the Vans Ultrarange for lightweight Metcons, especially if there’s a bunch of running. Admittedly, they’re some of the comfiest and coolest shoes ever. However, the toe box is wicked narrow. Have you tried these shoes? If so, how does the Nano XI compare?
@@AMRAP Thank you for the reply! Would you say the Nano XI compared in terms of comfort, or not so much? I find I’m getting more into niche shoe purchases for specific workouts, and I’m looking for something for those more cardio/plyo/lighter weight workouts.
Your review pretty well confirms what I thought when I saw that softer front of sole area advertised. Shame, because my 6's, 9's and X's are all phenomenal shoes for heavy lifting.
Super conservative Nano X1 ... then Nike unveils the Metcon React Turbo ... that’s gotta be a gut punch for Reebok . I’m a Reebok guy but those react turbos hard AF .
Nano 11 or speed tr as an accessory shoe for those wod that have a little more running. I generally don't like to wear my normal trainers (nobulls) for anything over 400m
Nano 11 with the 7mm drop and Floatride cushioning are most similar to a running shoe. The Floatride in Reebok's running shoes is excellent. Speed TR are minimalist like a NOBULL trainer. As a current running coach myself, I would direct an athlete towards the X1. Reebok has a 30-day return policy. Try one or both if you're really unsure. God speed.
I think x1 have a much better design then the 10s. Even though its pretty much the same size but the x1 have a more slick-look and it makes it look a lighter shoe. I think i will go for a Metcon 6 anyhow. btw the nano 9 is so comfortable and looks good :D
@@Tomsfoolery I may check them out I just need to find a place that sells them. I have a pretty wide foot at the ball area and shoes are a pain to buy. It's why I'm looking for another pair of the Romaleos 2 which fit perfectly. There are new old stock out there. Just need to find a size 13.
Hi Joel. I love the 4s, 6s (agree on the G.O.A.T.), 9s but don’t like the Xs. Are these better than the Xs and can you compare the performance with the 4s, 6s or 9s? Thank you! Appreciate your reviews always.
@@ralph8uy Just kind of depends what you want...if you want a more run friendly trainer and you had other shoes to lift with you can still try Nano XI. Otherwise I'd go with 9's or something completely different.
i havent bought any workout shoes in a while. my last pair being Nano 6, still holding up but the tread is disappearing - can anyone recommend something similar? I dont do much heavy lifting (1-2 RM), but squat, deadlifts are essential in my workouts and i usually do 8-12 reps of those. loved the review, thanks Joel!
Thanks for the review, was looking forward to this... it’s a good shoe but not the best overall training shoe... you are prob sick getting this question but give it to me... best overall training shoe? For me it’s the nano 6, followed by the 8 🤪
Have you tried the Viktos PTXF 1 and 2? Man these trainers are awesome. I use them for everything over my metco 5 or nano x. You should review them. These are super comfortable
I had the first ones and hated them so much I didn't bother reviewing them. They sent me two pairs with unevenly glued midsole/outsoles, then just stopped responding to me.
@@AMRAP that sucks. I must of got a good batch. Thanks for the response and the reviews you put out. I'll try the metcon 6's and see how those feel. Have you tried the Go rucks I think that's how you spell it. I've heard good things
The easy fix is going shoeless(barefoot) Way better=good for foot health and strengthening those small muscles that won’t be activated using a workout shoe
The worst shoes Iv ever had. They look great, really lightweight but they cut both my heels so bad (In a 20 minutes light walk) Iv tried them with long socks and they hurt my heels to. Sorry Reebok But you need to sack your designer
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REVIEW FOR 2 WEEKS! I am gonna pay close attention and play the video at normal speed. The floor is yours Joel.
After the 8’s, Nanos have just looked and felt like big clunky shoes, lightweight or not. Much prefer the smaller footprint of the Metcons. Thanks for the review Joel!
Best Nano in this regards were the Speed TR 1...
I bought 11 pairs of the nano 9's. Single greatest shoes i have ever worn. They will last me till I shuffle off this mortal coil
6s all the way
Nano 6. Don’t have it? Get it. They’re the best Nano. 8s are more comfortable and versatile, but as a crossfit shoe, 6s are the best.
Best of the best, either way you go.
Absolutely love the 8s

Could not agree more. The nano 6 as amazing. Love the black and gum.
So... Metcons this year... 🤔
Performance wise its the 8s for me, looks wise nothing beats the 5s with that Kevlar look! The 10s colorways are sweet to wear as a casual sneaker!
I had similar impressions when I was inspecting the demo X1s for bookings. Solid breakdown!
13:37 I spy the new Puma Fuse Training shoes. Looking forward to that review, hopefully soon!
This comment section is funny, everyone likes different years and models 🤣 I'm a HUGE fan of the nano 9s. Best year for nanos in my opinion.
X1 is my favorite CrossFit shoe, next to the Nike Metcon 7 flyease.
always enjoy watching your shoe reviews👍
Thanks for the great review - the written one was also great
Sold cuz Joel recommend💪🏽 only review I look forward to🇺🇸
Nano 9's and 10's will be hard to beat.
Which would you consider to be the best all-around CrossFit shoe at the moment?
Metcon 6, React Metcon, Nano 9

There’s just a patch of it in the forefoot

I love Ultrarange, those were my goto coaching shoe. I don’t workout in them but I probably could. Nano X1s are way wider in the toebox.

The odd thing is that the midsole is actually stiff, just the shape and height makes them awkward to lift in.
Hi, Are these shoes suitable for everyday walking ? or only for training in the hall ?
I will Wait for the nike react metcon turbo review

Anyone else feel the heel cup has a lot of pressure on the inner side of their foot?
What i liked reebok nano is very comfortable to wear
I have a gift card for Reebok...you think I should get the X or X1?
Will they work for HIIT, weightlifting and boxing?

I do need Hiit shoes so i guess i’ll buy these & either another X and metcon6 for lifting .
No CrossFit logo? An improvement from the jump.
They did away with that completely with the X and they even released new colorways in the 9's sans CF logo too.

Fabletics Fundamental shorts! fabletics.com/joelte
60usd for the black and gum. Should I? I'm currently lifting in Nano7 😆
Its just my opinion ..but for me always was the 2-4-6-8-10Nano the better one than the 1(uform)3-5-7-9-11
Maybe there will be a Rich Froning edition and it will change the shoe for better?!
Hi, according to your video, i think you practice a lot. Do you use any type of collagen for joints?
I do not, but not opposed to it. I’ve used vital performance before and it tastes bad but it’s probably nice to have the collagen.

Nano 9s are the best shoe ever for lifting. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

They don’t feel very soft, the shape is like a running shoe though so that’s what makes it feel not stable.

So when’s the Turbo review?
So nano is dead...only buy if they are 50% off. Thanks
thats what i do, i have stacks of 9s and 10s ready to go when my current ones are beat

X is better. I tried the X1 and they feel flimsy in a way that they don't hug my foot like the X.
still on nano 8s.... I guess im sticking
Waiting on the metcon react turbo

React turbos. Can’t wait.
