I’ve browsed a bunch of videos. Thanks for the reviews. I do a combo of barbell lifting, HIIT, and weighted cardio. Even maxing out, I rarely go above 200lbs. I want stability for compound lifts, but realize I’m not pushing super heavy. Sounds like these could work well? Or maybe the Cloud X? Or am I way overthinking for such light weights?
Either will work, but I think the Nano X1 could be a better call for durability + long-term training potential of building strength! The Cloud X are okay, but IMO, you’ll get more distance out of the X1s! And thank you 💪💪
@@thatfitfriend - Incredibly quick reply. Thank you! I’ll be sure to report back. Tbh - It’ll be my first training shoe and I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I appreciate the help.
@@cjflash yeah…paralysis by options is definitely a thing especially for those starting out and trying to understand what is contextually best. Look into the Nano X1 Grit and Adventure, both of those are my fave X1 iterations, but the standard is also solid. I’d say go with the colorway and price point that works best! Do keep me posted 💪 excited to hear your feedback
Tks for the review, Jake!! It was very complete and practical. I have a Metcon 6 but it's such a tank when it comes to running - so I'm considering having a Nano as an extra pair. I'd use Metcon for WODs with heavier lifting and Nano for running/plyometric workouts. In that case do you think that buying a Nano X1 would be better than the X, due to the extra cushioning? Tks!!
Thank you! Yes, I do! And I’d suggest looking into the Adventure. It’s awesome for outdoor training as well if you like to run outside/hit plyos at a field etc.! I have a review on them on the channel 💪
Do you think x1 will be stable enough if I am just doing dumbell workouts at the moment and use weights@10kg pair max? Will x1 Adventure be more stable than x1? And which is a wider shoe of two?
Okay. That is amazing. Thank you so much. Your videos have educated me a lot in learning about different types of shoes. And I really want to thank you for your prompt replies:)
I know these are probably outdated now, but I've been starting back working out after 3 years of laziness (17 weeks into an at home program by Derek Weida that absolutely destroys me) and it's mostly just bodyweight with light db and kb workouts, lots of jumping lunges, burpees, manmakers & devils presses, jogging, bear crawls and stuff like that. I know nothing about cross training or shoes mostly, I've always just worn what I got and I don't think it's smart. I'm on a pair of Adidas I've had for 2 years and they're busted. But I just wanted to ask you if these are good for the exercises I described? I know they're old now, but I found a pair on Amazon straight from Reebok with Prime shipping for only $83 and they're Looney Toons lol, but figured I'd might as well try them. Sorry for the long message, just hoping I chose a good shoe for this stuff. Thank you!
Yeah, I think they'd work. Plus, as you get more into it you'll learn more and more about what you prefer, but you can't figure that out until you try out some options that are designed to work on your context! I'd say grab them for that price. Amazon should be solid with returns worst comes to worst and we can try other options for you! Keep me posted, friend. PS - props for getting back into it, that's the toughest part. Keep that momentum building!
@@thatfitfriend Thank you so much for the quick and detailed response! It means a lot! So while I was in between rounds this morning before work during my workout. I checked my email and seen some targeted ads from Reebok and noticed they had the Nano X2s (only had the special edition Jurassic Park ones in my size so I had to get those lol) on sale for like $86ish and decided to just try it anyway. So now I can try both models and for sure find out what's up lol. That's why I hate pulling my phone out during workouts, I end up wasting either time or money... or both lol. But I will try them this week when they arrive and will let you know how they are. Thanks again for all your help and videos! Just found you yesterday and have watched at least 4 or 5 vids so far! Take Care & God Bless!
sent mine back. 1/2 size too small and the forefoot isnt as wide. I also dont like the increased stack height. I feel higher off the ground compared to the X. Higher off the ground and skinnier shoe= not as stable. I'll buy another pair of the X and wait for X2.
The hard plastic on the outer side of the Nano X1 is killing my wide feet. I'm not sure if that part could be broken in... I have just wore them for one day so I'm going to give them a couple more weeks
Yeah, these are unfortunately not a very comfortable pair. I'm sorry to hear that, Hopefully, they break in for ya! It's annoying that they seemed to have changed the last in this model from the 9 &10!
@@thatfitfriend Thank you! I'll come back in a couple weeks and confirm what happened with that, maybe it'll help people who have wide feet, here in Mexico is kind of difficult to just return the pair so I'll stick to them anyways.

Personally I love the shoe once i broke into that heel rub, fits my foot real nice feels sturdy for 350 ish lifts but also comfy and good for wearing around
you won't get 1mile before you are bleeding..... LOL wear socks that protect your ankle there.... I'm so sensitive I hate rubbing this is too much just standing and stretching you feel it hold on. #TOOSTABLE?? Lol they are just very strong and don't seem to help with the running if the back of our heels/ankles get slided up and now with covid, we don't want open wounds..... come on reebok.... i mean they happen when we do some stuff to the max but not with things you just bought right?
(see tl;dr below rant) Reebok owes early adopters long socks because my ankles are bleeding just from one basic home HIIT workout. So ...I do love them otherwise,..... I am waiting on the rest of my refund since they shipped my items with the ground instead of expedited which was free (early access offer), then they have the other broken supply chain communication oversight, they asked me how was my order, which should reflect the actual shipped order not what was ordered on the cart, which should align, but they don't and they still asked about my expedited free shipping which never happened and a snowstorm from PA to CA delayed my shoes since the person or people failed at their basic follow-through of SOP. -------rant rant rant tldr,. GET BIG SOCKS to expect durable and grippy, just not as flat at nano X. Better to run and lift and go side to side with confidence.
Damn! I’m sorry to hear that - I agree some new Reebok socks would be amazing. Agreed though - not a terrible model, just different! I just wish they didn’t change the boot so drastically

Will they work for HIIT (insanity kind), weightlifting and boxing?
Or should I buy the reebok hiit?
They should be fine for tackling those asks. Just be forewarned, the boot might cut up your ankle with lower socks when breaking them in!
@@thatfitfriend nevermind, i use only largue socks. Thanks dude, i'm enjoying these beauties X1

Absolutely will be fine for those sessions and both are pretty much the same in regard to width!

This was the last reebok pair I bought - outsole didn’t last. Holes developed at the “balls of the feet” area, cutting through the float ride
