In this particular instance I believe that man when he says his words are coming from a place of hate, not pain. I think you do outstanding work trying to connect Israelis and Palestinians, but I think it's important to not ignore that there is a hatred problem beyond pain for some people. It's incredibly sad to see (especially as a Jew), but words like what that man said show that there is much more work to be done if hatred is from more than just pain. As a current two state guy, for me it's not about what the Palestinians deserve. I believe that making sure that the Palestinians have their own state is morally right, regardless of what they deserve. But no less importantly, i believe that if they have their own state, it will expose to many pro-Palestinians the truth of the fact that most Palestinians aren't fighting for a country of their own but rather against the existence if the state of Israel. Once they have their own country, they will loose the lack of a country as an excuse for their war on Israel. And once they refuse to stop fighting, even though they got what so many people believe they want, those people will be forced to face what this conflict is really about. Then again, maybe that won't change much at all, since so many people are actually anti Israeli and not pro Palestinian anyway...

There's no such thing as "too much freedom". They just assert their opinion, a hateful and ignorant one that is. We have them, and we have ppl like Rudy. Having everyone being able to speak is problematic sometimes, but taking away freedom of speech when "it's not good for some ppl" will create catastrophe without any of us knowing it. I was walking down the main street in town (White Rock, BC) wearing a t-shirt that read: "Am Yisrael Chai. Forever." An arab-looking guy less than half my age stops me and says, "That's a stupid shirt", to which I replied, "could you clarify?", to which he said again, "That's a stupid shirt". Two weeks later I see the same guy and after we pass by each, we both turned around to face each other. He was getting physically active, verbally abusive at a very high decibel level, basically freaking out at me, perhaps because I was wearing my IDF tshirt that time. As the guy was forcing me to back up, I revealed my pepper spray, to which he kept charging forward, wanting me to spray him. An elderly woman with a walker comes around the corner and the crazy man still wants me to spray him and the elderly woman at the same time, playing victim while being the aggressor, saying, "go ahead and spray me b*tch, spray me!". I kept backing up. This happened in Canada, so I can back up forever if i have to keep the peace; however, if the same situation happened in Israel, there is no such thing as backing up when amalekim get active. The whole situation would've ended completely differently.

Perfect example of how you can’t make peace with people who don’t want peace or whose peace is your destruction. I’m also a former two state guy, at this point I don’t believe the Palestinians deserve anything.
As a current two state guy, for me it's not about what the Palestinians deserve. I believe that making sure that the Palestinians have their own state is morally right, regardless of what they deserve. But no less importantly, i believe that if they have their own state, it will expose to many pro-Palestinians the truth of the fact that most Palestinians aren't fighting for a country of their own but rather against the existence if the state of Israel.
Once they have their own country, they will loose the lack of a country as an excuse for their war on Israel. And once they refuse to stop fighting, even though they got what so many people believe they want, those people will be forced to face what this conflict is really about.
Then again, maybe that won't change much at all, since so many people are actually anti Israeli and not pro Palestinian anyway...

I was walking down the main street in town (White Rock, BC) wearing a t-shirt that read: "Am Yisrael Chai. Forever." An arab-looking guy less than half my age stops me and says, "That's a stupid shirt", to which I replied, "could you clarify?", to which he said again, "That's a stupid shirt". Two weeks later I see the same guy and after we pass by each, we both turned around to face each other. He was getting physically active, verbally abusive at a very high decibel level, basically freaking out at me, perhaps because I was wearing my IDF tshirt that time. As the guy was forcing me to back up, I revealed my pepper spray, to which he kept charging forward, wanting me to spray him. An elderly woman with a walker comes around the corner and the crazy man still wants me to spray him and the elderly woman at the same time, playing victim while being the aggressor, saying, "go ahead and spray me b*tch, spray me!". I kept backing up. This happened in Canada, so I can back up forever if i have to keep the peace; however, if the same situation happened in Israel, there is no such thing as backing up when amalekim get active. The whole situation would've ended completely differently.
