Its been a while since I've been back in Vancouver but I can't wait to document more of this year and this beautiful campus! As a first year I totally relate to being overwhelmed! It’s getting better but the first two weeks were so rough ahaha.

@@Itsyvn I love the place! I moved in last year too and it's such a steal for having your own place on campus. Spent a good few weeks figuring out how to arrange/fit everything, made me a bit more of a minimalist 😄

Does UBC allow you to stay in the same room without moving if you want to live in the same dorm for another year?
For upper year residences, yes! Dorms like these have yearly renewable contracts :)
Can you make a video about your study methods and techniques or tips or anything?? That would be really helpful especially since it’s coming from a senior

I am planning to apply for CS major at UBC.....
I have a CGPA of 3.8/4 and expecting a 7.5 in IELTS...Will I be able to make it through...

Hey!! I have no idea what the requirements are/what they look for when selecting students but I wish you the best of luck:) I’ve also heard that the university of Waterloo in Ontario is good for computer science!

Your dorm looks so nice! Went to the showcase for these nano-suites when Exchange opened a few years back and I can honestly say I would not mind living in one of these during my uni days. I am a first-year that just applied to YRH. How long did it take you to get assigned a nano suite?
Oh no wayy!! & yeah, nano suites are actually the best thing (in my opinion) to happen in terms of housing options. There are so many opinions about them but I personally love them!!☺️
I applied for year round in my first year and wasn’t offered year round until the beginning of my third year! They base it off waitlist numbers and the time you put for move in day (as I’ve heard)🥺 So maybe switch your ideal move in day to an earlier day (March), it might help!
@@Itsyvn Thanks for your reply! Sadly I applied late (as in yesterday lol) so I am pretty much in the rear of the queue. Hopefully, with the opening of Pacific Residences in Sept, the waitlists will be shortened.

Film studies! We watch a bunch of films, discussion, do A BUNCH of academic readings, and write essays!!😊 It’s fun but definitely very challenging
