I'll find out if I got in next month! I live in Australia and UBC has been my dream school since I was 13 but now that its getting closer, I am getting so scared. I'm seeing all my friends as uni together and it looks like so much fun and I know I'd make new friends but I can't imagine not knowing one person!!
I wish you the most luck and the smoothest transition! you'll know me:) and trust me, making friends is way easier than you'd think. just remember you're all feeling the same way!
Girl, if you've never been to Vancouver before, I have a piece of advice for you: get your umbrella. Maybe even two of them. It's raining a lot in here. And during winter the weather is mostly cloudy and windy, so you should be ready for this. Yep, winters here are a bit depressing.
omg i love your video, thank you! this was very informative. i just accepted my res offer a few days ago and i find out which residence i got into next month! very excited haha
Lol, I got room 6-106-1 bartlet last year and it has a nasty veiw and not a full window. I think It is one of the worst rooms in all of orchard commons.
if your door is on the right side of Braeburn you’ll be looking at the inside of campus- the field of both our buildings. if you are higher than 10th floor, though, you will get a slight ocean view. Bartlett has a clearer ocean view, though, because it faces that side without any obstruction. I am on the left side of Brae, and I can see partial ocean, but if you really want the full ocean view, you’d want to be on the left side of a high floor on Bartlett!
fav place on campus is probably the botanical gardens! and my challenges were and still are finding my way around campus! it’s very big and can be confusing at first lol!
dude bless you i was just googling how to read the room numbers and u said it. thank u

Thank you for sharing.
I want a room with an ocean view. Do both braeburn and bartlett have an ocean view? Which side of hallway does my room need to be on?

Is everyone allowed to apply for residence or are there specific classes that are allowed and the rest have to wait until second semester?
Did you bring the bookshelf and your night table?

Im joining ubc this winter, really hope I get a room in orchard commons
For masters or ug?
@@nishantbahri Ug!
@@tanaymahendru884 cool. Best of luck man.
Well i wants to go to ubc too. But it’s way too expensive as compared to my country. I wish i get the scholarship 😆😆
crossing my fingers for you!
I'm going to ubc in september, I can apply for a dorm which isn't a connected single room right?
In the residence that she is in there are only connected singles I believe. If you want a single room then you would be in totem or Vanier.
can u bring a tv
yep!
Before watching the vid i was hoping it was also for totem :/. Still helpful though :)
i would love to do a video on totem! it’s just unfortunately been closed up until this term :(
