- I flew all the way the England the other week, and while I was there I filmed my fathers Porsche cayenne which he has had for just under 7 years. It is a 2003/ 2004 Cayenne S 4.5 V8 with the Tip Traonnic transmission. I thouhgt id make a video to assist selling the car, but it sold straight away (more a less).
A great car which I will miss.

For a 2004 car, it's very impressive and it's still relevant.
By the way i'm french and i easily understood with accent. You deserves more likes ! Very cool video !
Arthur B thank you for such a kind comment in both respects :)
It was a great car, it did feel a little bit dated when you compare it to the newer version, but she felt so solid, and that sound on kickdown was epic. Take care and thanks once again :)
There are many features he has missed on this. My Cayenne S has so many more features and is a '04 too.
Great video, have owned the same model and even the same colour for many years now it's such great car and has proven to be super reliable.
Thank you Keith. I’m glad you shared the same experience as my dad. He reply did like the Porsche. Used to love driving it too, even thought it was a big car, it didn’t feel big driving it, after a few miles. Thanks :)
Matt: this is the EXACT Cayenne video i was looking for. A tutorial video to study, before i receive mine. Question: Do these seats have the tiny perforated holes, because it doesn't appear so? Thank you for posting this wonderful video.
Hello :) I had to have a look, it 8:21 I can see there are little holes all over the seat. These seats were the lower specced version. :) thank you for your kind comment. Have a great week :)
@mattsbeamer thank you for the word on the seats. Take care. Vince
Wow, what a machine. I love the sound of that v8
Alla Blackcat thank you. I think he will miss that sound.
I like the music...
Great video! Thank you, helped me learn about my (new to me) Cayenne Turbo 04!
thank you for the feedback. :D I hope you enjoy your Turbo. I bet she's beast! take care :)
You've got serious VO skills, sir. Cheers!
That made me laugh. Cheers! Happy new year!!
So detailed review god bless you man! You need to make more videos!!!
Royce Verus thank you :D I hope to film a rare Cayman and a Gallardo this year. Cheers :)
@@mattsbeamer im subscribed :) can't wait :)

The fishing planet it’s such a great car! Congratulations :)

After 4 months how is it?
Me too, it's a beautiful vehicle
Great video Thanks I learned a couple of things about my 2004 Porsche cayenne S
ottopuppy thank you :). How are you finding your cayenne?
Wow really glad to know that wheel arch guards protect the wheels some how, I always thought they were just there for looks but it turns out they actually do something some how!!!
Great video, and very informative!!!
kc4ril lol thank you buddy :)
Don't thank me, your the one who finally revealed the great wheel arch guard mystery, so today the spot light is on you buddy, thanks again!!!
kc4ril haha your a funny man
Great presentation. Funny, with the cultured voice and accent announcing : "The rear windows are tinted: which is a pain in the arse! "
Lol, thank you, for your kind comment. Haha, :D I am glad you liked it. Cheers
Thanks for the video! I just bought a used 2008 Cayenne S from a private seller and now know a few more things about it. I'm still trying to find a video detailing the 4 wheel drive functions and operation. Do you know of one?
Michael, fear not - I'll be sure to cover this for you in the upcoming edit, i need to record a couple of bits that went out of focus on the original recording... I'm hoping to have it all ready by the weekend.
Michael Liebaert congratulations on buying the cayenne. They are awesome cars. I may even consider buying on for my family car. It will be worth seeing what iblogbuzz will get up too. Take care
iVlogBuzz awesome. I look forward to seeing this video too! :)
Fantastic review,explained everything i needed to know,thankyou
Thank you :D
Ha, regarding mpg - a dealership gave me a european fiesta with a 1 litre engine - it returned 22.1 mpg on the 4 tank fulls i put in it. so a Cayenne S V8 Averaging 19 is good and much faster. I get 24-28mpg on constant highway driving (real world brim to brim filling) and 17-19mpg combined city driving.
iVlogBuzz these Porsche are pretty good on the fuel I agree :) I think it drunk less fuel than my old 740i :)
19 mpg = 12.3 l/100km. Are you sure the petrol V8 gets that mileage.... that doesn't sound realistic...
Rovie Off-Road
19mpg (imperial gallon which is 4.54609 litres to a UK gallon) that may make more sense as the US gallon is smaller.
Really good vidio 👍 i enjoyed it very much ... well done 👏 .so much detail in your filming ..love it
linda pet thank you :) it takes longer to do than people could imagine lol. 4 hours filming, then editing and writing up a script to read and finding out what things do. Can take about 15 hours lol. I need to speed up :)
Many features were missed out which is a shame.
@@OverlandTT Can you suggest a video that shows different features? Looking to learn more about one I just purchased
@@cyprus5042
Hi Michael, If you can hold off until this weekend I'm in the process of editing exactly that. There are some hidden features that most owners don't know of.
The Cayenne has many features that so many cars don't even have today... (with the exception of the tablet/fablet new cars have).
@@OverlandTT awesome I look forward to it!
Great info. Just purchased my Munich monster
Congrats!!! What spec did you go for? :)
@@mattsbeamer 3.2 unfortunately it doesn't have any history with it. But all electronic and engine gearbox are smooth brakes are great 107.000 miles tyres are pirelli look new. On brake calibre the black cap on top looks new so was thinking recently done. My plan is to get engine serviced and gearbox so peace of mind 😌
@@NorthernsoulBoy63 I bet the 3.2 sounds just as nice. Have you tried calling Porsche network in your country, to try and track down the history? Who knows. :). May you have many years in these great motors!! :)
@@mattsbeamer no but will try and investigate its history. Mot history is good no oil leaks or corrosion
That’s good. Good luck mate. Keep me updated if you have any news :)
great review
Thank you :D
Nice work enjoyed watching your videos all the best
truk raog thank you so much for the comment and for watching my videos :) it means so much to me hearing feedback. Have a wonderful day :)
thank you so much for the video, very informative..question would you know how to change the date on the navigation system?
boss Ny hey, thank you for your nice comment :) sorry about the music, if it was annoying. Do you mean the clock on the screen on the screen on the centre?
oh it was no problem ..yes the centre the PCM Porsche communication management @@mattsbeamer
Lovely noise ! 👏
Supercars in England she does sound lovely doesn’t she. I hope his next car will be petrol and not diesel lol.
I still remember the moment i asked my mom what’s the S stands for,she said it stands for ‘special’. Few years later i found out it stands for ‘sport’
Moon Glitch I never thought about the S before lol. You taught me something:D cheers. Thanks for commenting :)
I thought it meant Sexy...well, I was wrong my entire time then. hahaha
On Porsche the S is for special not sport.
@@billyjack5957 wrong it's for sports. It's 2021 my guy, if you don't know something Google is your friend
Very nice and informative video as always))))
My fav is X6))
JusticeBlog thank you mate. My favorite is the x6 too, so we have the same taste lol :)
Amazing video!! Thanks Matt!
Aurelio Pablos thank you :D
Peace be upon you, brother does it has any problems in the car ,does it has some problems or not,can you tell me how many problems are in this car
the music? is that music?
I agree, it’s an annoying. Sorry
Im about to buy this car and I think it’s great
Miguel Martinez oh cool. I hope you find a nice one. We were very happy with ours. :)
How can you think it's great if you havent bought it yet.... these cars are known to have issues. Enjoy replacing the transfer case even if you never use it...
What are they like on motorways......being so big,,i assume there quite wallowy
It was pretty good on the motorway, it felt sure footed. My dad said it felt more sporty than his BMW X6 and my e38 7 series.
What is the most reliable engine to buy the 3.2 or turbo engine looking at 2005 model?
Hey, on the earlier cars they say that the v6 is more reliable but some will say it’s under powered. I’ve never driven a v6 thou . If you go for a v8 model it’s best to go for a face lifted model.
Saying this thou my dads old 4.5s was good as gold, and never went wrong. But I guess it comes down to him looking after it well, since he bought it :) good luck. Let me know what you decide :)
Hey yall. Im a few years late but i wanted to know how to start one of these cause i might get one from auction
Is this a good first car? Or is it too expensive in fuel usage etc?
Remon hey. Buying this car is the cheapest part. :) Parts on them are quite expensive compared to other brands such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes. Especially if you buy a turbo S. Those brakes can cost around 10k according to Mike brewer. Fuel costs and tax depends on your country. For me it was a very easy car to drive and well planted on the road.
Great review thanks
wayne Brown thanks man!!!!
Have u got a cold? Sound pretty bunged up?!
Hey, no, I have a broken nose, lol.
@@mattsbeamer oh lol. get better soon then :-)
@@JC-qf1jd it was many years ago. My brother smacked my nose as a kid and it heeled broken, hence why I talk funny lol. Thank thou :) enjoy your week
weird music, steering on the incorrect side.........but a pretty good video in all........THANK YOU
Hey, I agree about the music, many people agree too lol :)
Thanks for the comment :)
Steering is on the right side of the car, literally 😅
What's its consume in Km per liter?
Great job just purchased one with no owner Manuel smh
Paula Cunningham congratulations. I’ll see if o can find a link to an online version for you. Any questions just ask :)
Thank u ... and yes I will send questions your way.
Paula Cunningham hey, sorry I completely forgot about looking for a manual. I found this page. I think the manuals are very similar www.porsche.com/china/en/accessoriesandservice/porscheservice/vehicleinformation/manuals-cayenne/
Any questions ask away :)
Thanks so much , Praying u and your loved ones stay safe.
Where are you from?
Amir ali from Great Britain :)
Great👌
Thank you :)
What car should my dad get next?
BMW e71 x6
Merc Gl
Newer Porsche Cayenne
Or a first gen Audi Q7
mattsbeamer x6
Novac Emil cheer mate :) good taste
mattsbeamer ^_^
Novac Emil I’m waiting to film my brother in laws 2013 x6m50d. That should be fun :)
mattsbeamer indeed it will :))
Is it better than a Range Rover
Much better :) The gearboxes on my dads past range Rovers kept messing about and in general they were not built as well. My bro in law has a 4.2 supercharge. Nice car, but he has spent so much that he could of bought 2 of them. Lol
@@mattsbeamer thanks for getting back to me , I had a 2008 HSE Range Rover vogue 3.6 diesel it was fine ,I had it for a year ,I’ve been looking to get a newer one or a Porsche ,thanks 🙏
I fancy a petrol 4.8 or 4.5 🙏
What year would you advise on getting, thanks
I believe that after 2006 they are better. It’s best to join the Porsche Forums to better advise thou :)
What a nice car, but listening to the same music loop for over 26 minutes is maddening
Leonardo Schefeer I’m sorry. I really need to start doing more songs. Thanks for telling me:)
Have you got a cold?
Burnt Toast a broken nose 👃 lol
When I was younger my brother punched me hard, I never had it looked at and it healed funny. One passageway is smaller. Hence why I have a funny nose 👃
nahhhh to risky..ill take the one with the vr6 in it......my friend has one almost 300k miles on it not one single problem....fuel injector orings..thats it.
Thanks for the advice.its good to know.
great video BUT rubbish music !!!!!
keithyboy123 thanks for your comment Keith. Your not the first to say that on this video. I will have to avoid the same issue for future videos. Sorry!
your dad needs to wash his car omg
Lol
Boring music
I agree, plus it’s too loud as well. Sorry
The entire car is know to be stalling quiet commonly🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
suhail ahmed I guess we were lucky for 8 years lol 😂
if you buy this in 2020 you might as well buy second hand shoes
Why u say that
Terrible engine
Great presentation. Funny, with the cultured voice and accent announcing : "The rear windows are tinted: which is a pain in the arse! "
