"Holy bananas! this is going to be expensive"... bruh I felt personally attacked XDXDXD, do you happen to have cameras in my office? cause your performance might come as an eerily accurate impression of me when googling for hepa filters and autoclaves :D. Thanks for sharing all this knowledge
I love a good rack too, i also love locally made products & not the made in china stuff that you buy & it breaks in a week & if you need to contact customer service it takes weeks & if you need to return it, it costs $8.000 to ship it back because they do not stand behind the products they make or sell. there is my "Buy Local speech" thanks for another awesome video.
Hey Tom just watched your new farm video! Wow what an awesome property!!! Well done! Looking foward to continuing on watching the build videos. I am binging to catch up to real time LOL😂
What is really amazing to me, is how much you can save if you already have huge capital. Me, going in with 15.000€ it is really challenging. I really appreciate your videos, they provide a ton of useful information.
Yesm 15kE isn't much to start a farm with. Look at it from a ROI standpoint. If you invested 15k into anything, how much return would you realistically like? if you had 100% return, or 30k, it would be a fantastic investment.
Fantastic work on your business mate! It's real intersting following your journey. I've been a forager for the last couple of years. Just starting hobby growing now. It might turn into a side gig and something to keep my wife busy at home😂
Hi, Great tractor, love a good Deere. I noticed in your barn, you have a huge stack of hay bales? Do you shred these, or pellet these hay bales and include them in your masters or goat mix? Then pasteurize or sterilizer at low pressure before bagging ? Just curious. Also heat pumps here in the uk are notoriously expensive for cooling or heating and I've observed that you have quite a few, 1 x incubation, 1x cold room, 1x preconditioner . Is the electricity consumption high ? Are you being pushed to heat pumps in NZ cos of the greens ? Its great that your build, fruiting inoculation and labs ooks well insulated so the heat pumps may work for you. I only ask cos heat pumps in the uk don't really get your home up to temp and have to be run all day with enlarged radiators, hence very high electricity bills. Is this expense in your costing or COGS ? Otherwise you're an inspiration and hope to follow your lead but too many questions at the moment, Ta
The hay is for the cows, nothing more. We use heat pumps because they work well. A lot of properties use log burners for heating, but heat pumps are acceptable.
Hi Tom! Thanks for your videos, they’re great help. Question: could you confirm the cooling and heating capabilities in kW for the heat pump that you have in your pre-con room? I think in one video you mention 7kW for the cooling and in another video you mention 11kW for the heating. Is that correct? Could there be such a big difference between them. Most of what I find over here have a difference of 1kW on average. Thanks in advance for the reply.
Mate I think most of us fellers agree. We love a good rack.
I know this comment is left field from the content, but how are your truffles going? Are there any signs yet they've taken and are growing?

Haha, I do try :)
Great tips! Love your business acumen. 💪
Thanks mate!
Great video mate
Tha is for the calculators 🙌🏽
no worries!
You are a great guy 🧿🙋♂️
This is great info! can you provide some reliable sources for the auto-mixers? 5,000$ sent to china and hoping it comes in 5 weeks is nerve-racking!
Not outside of what you see in the videos
What castors do you use for your shelving? I’ve had a number of them break and then dump all the sub….
Yes, my castors are unreliable. I use heavy duty ones, and even they break.
"I love a good Rack" ;)
Dude. You're awesome
Thanks!
Did you ever get around to the heat recovery unit(home brew or otherwise)?
Hi tom who do you get your hepa filters from for your flow hood in the clean room? How much do they cost?
like $300 nzd or something.
Hey Tom. I think I knew you about 15 years ago! Were you a CIS Tech at Whenuapai? Cheers pies
Yeah mate, that's me! Your name, trade?
Andy (pies), AvTech, Tac Comm, Transmitters. CPL & SGT. Then commissioned to CISO in about 2008 and posted to Wgtn for a long time.

Pretty sure it's 11kw heating.
