Hi I just installed HFSS on my PC and its my very first time ever using it. I tried to simulate the above tutorial and I am in the step where the first substrate is drawn. On my PC I can not do it by dragging the mouse around, instead I have to put the dimension in the status bar. How can I change this ?

dont show error simulations. 1) how wave port defined in driven model? thats 1st mistake. 2) how 2 conducting sheets (upper ground plane) not involved in port defining? 2nd one. simulation shows error. thats why results have not been shown... any how please dont fool anyone like this.(at least in educational point of view).

this is a CPW (coplanar waveguide) transmission line. and the antenna is a monopole Z shape antenna.

yes it has to have specific dimensions base on the width, the thickness and the frequency of ur design
