5:55 since this isnt story based i can actually explain this one.
this scene, aswell as a few others, were added with the final mix version back on the ps2
the final mix version, for those who dont know, is the equivalent to todays complete editions. usualyl they ahve a little bit of extra content be it a cutscene or two or, more importantly, added superbosses.
but because this was added to final mix alot of the voice actors went through puberty and so their voices sounded difference. you can hear that difference well if you compare kh1 with kh2.
and to not cause complete dissonance with the character voice, i assume, they decided to just ahve the new scenes not be voiced. this will not happen in any other game which makes me believe more that it is a voice change issue that caused it here.
16:10 was pretty funny. Also that ending is pretty hype

I think the manga covers the whole thing with how someone's heart creates a heartless, you can say its a kid tone kinda version of a zombie if that makes sense. Also you get something good from Leon if you beat him which can be helpful if doing a hard mode run. Also Sora's brain damage is showing lmao

this is another fun fact that matters literally not at all.
so since the accessory shop is THE ONLY SAVE POINT IN THE CITY that you can access right now the game is actually cleverly designed with the plot trigger for the leon fight.
it activates after you kill like 5 shadows. and what the game intends is exactly what joe did. explore the town, kill some shadows, and go to the save point at some point.
which given that the accessory shop is the only save point you can access will automatically happen and be it when you save to end a session and pick back up next time.
