How these guys managed to get Dekus voice actor for Pit, and Eren Yeager and Inosukes voice actor for Sora actually blows my mind. The casting for Death Battle can be pretty impressive sometimes. I was the wikipedia page for Gojo's VA a few days ago and he's been in 4 different ones.
"defeated" Final Fantasy characters in KH have a tendency to hold back. Had it not been for Sora's keyblade, they would've destroyed Xehanort in less than 2 games.
I don't think it's cannon that word ever beat cloud, in fact I think the only cannon time they right is that first time in KH1, which in game you can win or lose, and in the manga soda lost

breezy air - Totally agree. I hated them pitting two of the most “upright” and “good” characters in video game *history* against one another. Pit’s “those who hide in the darkness will be made to face the light” comment, especially when Sora’s the *pinnacle* of a “warrior of light”? And then Sora’s Keyblade killing a freaking *angel* ? An angel who’s *also* the pinnacle of a “warrior of light”? I understand them pitting two characters who are *similar* against one another, but the *finer* details of the battle were cringeworthy!
While these two would become fast friends in literally any other scenario, I'm just picturing the aneurysms that Vanitas and Dark Pit would both be having over the amount of light-obsessed dunces that they have to deal with doubling in that scenario.
I still see this scenario as a coliseum scenario, aka, they are participating in The GAAAAAMES! Once Palutena fixes Pit back up Sora comes over to apolegize for blowing his brains out, and THEN they become friends
Don’t worry, he’ll just respawn! Alternate ending: Just before Sora lands the final hit, he stops. Pit looks at him and asks why, he is at his mercy! Sora shrugs and says he’s proven himself, and asks if he wants to go do something else. Cue friendship!

@@frostytrope8580 He did not have form changes in Kh2, he had drive forms but its unclear lore wise if he can access them without Donald and Goofy, thats why they were ignored in this death battle.
@@emmureee It's especially odd since Kid Icarus Uprising has more plot twists in one game than most game series would have in their entire run. Like Dark Pit's inclusion, Hades's entrance at the false credits, Viridi's introduction, Aurum coming out of nowhere, and a small blink and you miss it detail becoming a major plot thread being the Chaos Kin, Medusa's return and sacrifice at the end. Technically more plot twists than even Kingdom Hearts games when they are on their own. But Masahiro Sakurai just made it work. (Fun fact: Masahiro Sakurai wrote much of the Japanese script and story of Uprising himself while also being director)
@@emmureee Except I would say original Kid Icarus and Of Myth & Monsters is worse than the Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 for sure. But that's mostly because those games they were a product of their time. also Pit needed the help of 3 other gods at once to beat hades. Sora can beat a stronger version of hades (Which rivals Zeus who made 800+ stars at once without even trying). and the likes of sepheroth (Who is a solar system busters). Like the Gods of pits's games, can't even destroy a thing the size of a small moon. they are really weak gods. As well now with KH 3. Sora beat a kingdom hearts empowered Xeanort. with kingdom hearts having enough power to destroy at least a universe. which is higher then anything in pit's game.

You can fight against Xemnas and Sephiroth with the same level 50 Sora and you will have an objectively harder time with Sephiroth. Tetsuya can say whatever he likes but that doesn't change how he made the games. Feats > Statements.

For all their "research" they do tend to take outliers and skip over some vital details. It's fun to watch to learn more about certain characters and then the pretty fight at the end.

Oh my goodness it would be epic don’t forget Cloud and the rematch Sora promised him. Also it would show that Sakurai lowkey watches Death Battle and so far the most recent Death Battle to become available in Smash is Ken Vs Terry so far. Dante and Bayonetta are another possibility too.
"Atta boy, Sora" made the fight worth it. It's probably a good thing that this fight only goes up to KH2 ((pretty much)). Because GOD FORBID if it was KH3 Sora. Able so maintain final form by himself and launch essentially each Keyblade from the grave yard at a foe. R.I.P having to use Kingdom Key and not Ultima or even dual wielding.

The Final Death Battle that can also be settled in Smash Ultimate Mario vs Sonic Bowser vs Ganon Zelda vs Peach Link vs Cloud Wario vs King Dedede Ken vs Terry and now... Sora vs Pit!!!!
I really hate being this guy, but... I gotta do this. Problem #1. Sora is faster than Pit because he was fast enough to dodge lightning and can teleport, that's cool. Not denying that. Meanwhile... Chapter 2, Pit dodges lightning strikes from the Underworld Army. Chapter 14, Pit not only dodges DIRECT lightning strikes firing at him from the Lightning Temple, but then goes on to fight and defeat Phosphora, a Goddess of Lightning. Chapter 19, Pit is deemed worthy of riding the Lightning Chariot, which can race across Galaxy's at the speed of light. Chapter 24, Pit fought up against the Great Sacred Treasure, which also can also teleport, and still had the reaction time and speed to match it and defeat it. So why is Sora faster than Pit? Problem #2. Hades's strength caps off on destroying a pillar of "Diamond."? First off, that pillar was in the Underworld, and I don't think Diamonds exist in different worlds. The ACTUAL strongest feat we see Hades accomplish in KI:U is destroying the Great Sacred Treasure, which as Lord Dyntos said, was made of Orichalcum, which is said to be a material associated with the Sun, and sustained by Magic. Wouldn't that make it stronger than Diamond, and hence mean Hades is WAY stronger than what's claimed in this video? Not to mention Orichalcum exists in Kingdom Hearts as the rarest of Metals. Problem #3 . That 2,000 foot fall you mentioned as Pit's highest feet of endurance came as a result of Hades crushing the GST that Pit was inside of. So Pit endured being smashed by Hades with whatever the force necessary to shatter Orichalcum is, followed by a 2,000 foot fall to the ground before continuing to fight and show little sign of fatigue. Problem #4. Why did Pit put on the Three Sacred Treasures, his most powerful weapon, and do nothing with it but fire 5 arrows? Problem #5. The Pegasus Boots increase his already fast speed, and yet he DIDN'T dodge Sora's incoming laser. I wouldn't believe he "Wouldn't have the reaction time to dodge it" when he's dodged faster attacks at closer range, that home in on him. Problem #6. The Mirror Shield can block or deflect anything that comes it contact with it. Again, Pit did nothing with it during this fight even though it's one of his most powerful pieces of equipment. The fuck? I'm fine with Pit losing this fight, but at least TRY to give a reason as to why he would lose instead of throwaway reasons that can be easily countered had reasoning and research not been omitted during the planning of this fight.
And the Lunar Sanctum Laser? Pit later got closer to it, and it turned around and shot at him point blank. He still dodged it, you do the math on that.
Interesting counter arguments. To bad it'll never be noticed as it goes against the outcome and people take these battles way too seriously. In a side note: should i buy the kid icarus game on 3ds?
@@spencerc4252 true , one cannot directly measure the boost the angel guy gets from the equipment and if you're right , the chariot feat is null. If he's right about the lightning feats are correct then Pitt is as fast as Sora. So Screwattack's conclusion that Sora could land the killing blow first is false. In addition, fictional metals have been analyzed before but you're probably right with your reasoning there.
@@spencerc4252 you are correct on the second point, did some looking on the wiki and didn't really see anything quantifiable involving the amour other than what the guy said above. About the first one though, Sora was with Riku in that scenario and the distance between them and the lasers being fired would determine what percentage of the speed of light the lasers were going(deathbattle used this to determine afro samurai's reaction) Pitt dodged multiple strikes according to the guy above and beat the Goddess of lightning herself as well as beat someone who could teleport. You are correct to assume that because of their respective speed feats that it could be possible that they are even.The problem is, the boost in stats that Pitt gets from the amour isn't mentioned so i can't say Pitt would get the necessary boost in speed to land the killing blow. Then again, Sora has Time manipulation and Pitt has better maneuverability and evasion.

So , from your information Sora faced a similar enemy and has multiple healing items and accessories. I'm now considering getting into the franchise so i have nothing to input about Pitt's healing arsenal. Even without it, Sora has the durability over Pitt so unless the guy who started this comment chain has anything to add.....it's looking grim for Pitt since i have no quantifiable boosts from the armour that would put him above Sora. I can't say reflecting the attack would kill him nor one blow from the bow would do it either.

Mike-Daddy in game that line is occasional when he dies, most of the time he screams in death. But, they should have made that line to make it more connecting.
I rooted for sora but if you’re gonna put information on their abilities: A: List all abilities B: USE ALL THE DAMN ABILITIES YOU SHOW C: ALL THE ABOVE
But the animation is their chance to show the culmination of their "research" and "knowledge" on how the fight would actually go in given scenario, which, if not perfect, it should at least be believable. And if only the research matters, a good 70% of the death battles are pretty much invalidated right there. And they don't do hardly any research. They do a little bit, highly selectively, and then extrapolate those instances out to their "full potential", which is always wrong.
The videos are entertaining, but the inaccuracies take away from it. For example, they stated that pit ultimate arrow can break through and kill anything, yet somehow, sora was able to use his keyblade laser attack and easily destroy it. They literally contradicted themselves and failed to explain how pit's ultimate attack was outright destroyed. They only stated the laser's speed, not strength. Also, they are using explosive power to determine power based on pressure, which is a complete inaccuracy. I like both characters and tbh it could have gone either way, but their execution of said battles is piss poor at best. They might as well stop trying to explain their powers if they're just going to do fan service.

Kingdom Hearts would lose, on the grounds that KH3D brought in time travel. There is no more surefire method to ruin your plot's consistency and snap suspension of disbelief than retconning everything that used to be important via time travel.

I think they only gave Sora magic that he has to get to progress the game. In a lot of games with open customization they stick to what the character is shown using via cutseens or other promo material. Cause, oh man, Sora gets wonky with magics eventually

Funnily enough, with KH3 Sora can use transformations, which are basically drive forms but without the friend absorbing part. So it would be even more unfair.

Of course, after the battle Sora immediately hits Pit with a curaga and helps him to his feet, pointing out that it was a good fight and that he respects Pit as a fellow champion of light and goodness. Sora and Pit then become great friends and help each other in their respective battles against darkness and evil. This is _gosh-darned canon_ and I won't accept any other scenario!
Actually Sephiroth stated that sora was very skilled but couldn't eliminate him, meaning that sora could've killed him then but because he had a certain type of magic around him only a specific person could kill him which was Cloud

I would like to point out that Drive forms being locked to Sora’s friends is purely a gameplay mechanic as opposed to being canonical, as evidenced by Sora’s introduction to Valor Form in KH2 not causing Goofy to disappear in the cutscene. Make no mistake, this shouldn’t have even been close, Sora stomps hard.

Makenah Langley Limit was mentioned in a note. All it really does is give him access to old abilities. Since they gave him stuff like Ragnarok and Sonic Blade at base, there was no real point to him switching to it.
GoldenCyclone4 entering Limit might just give him old abilities they already gave him, but you know what else it does... Gives him an instant full HP and MP regen.
In any other encounter, these 2 would become best friends in minutes, and Dark Pit would be crying out that he has to deal with 2 idiots

Like Dark Pit's inclusion, Hades's entrance at the false credits, Viridi's introduction, Aurum coming out of nowhere, and a small blink and you miss it detail becoming a major plot thread being the Chaos Kin, Medusa's return and sacrifice at the end. Technically more plot twists than even Kingdom Hearts games when they are on their own. But Masahiro Sakurai just made it work. (Fun fact: Masahiro Sakurai wrote much of the Japanese script and story of Uprising himself while also being director)

You can fight against Xemnas and Sephiroth with the same level 50 Sora and you will have an objectively harder time with Sephiroth. Problem #1.
Sora is faster than Pit because he was fast enough to dodge lightning and can teleport, that's cool. Not denying that.
Meanwhile...
Chapter 2, Pit dodges lightning strikes from the Underworld Army.
Chapter 14, Pit not only dodges DIRECT lightning strikes firing at him from the Lightning Temple, but then goes on to fight and defeat Phosphora, a Goddess of Lightning.
Chapter 19, Pit is deemed worthy of riding the Lightning Chariot, which can race across Galaxy's at the speed of light.
Chapter 24, Pit fought up against the Great Sacred Treasure, which also can also teleport, and still had the reaction time and speed to match it and defeat it.
So why is Sora faster than Pit?
Problem #2.
Hades's strength caps off on destroying a pillar of "Diamond."?
First off, that pillar was in the Underworld, and I don't think Diamonds exist in different worlds.
The ACTUAL strongest feat we see Hades accomplish in KI:U is destroying the Great Sacred Treasure, which as Lord Dyntos said, was made of Orichalcum, which is said to be a material associated with the Sun, and sustained by Magic. Wouldn't that make it stronger than Diamond, and hence mean Hades is WAY stronger than what's claimed in this video?
Not to mention Orichalcum exists in Kingdom Hearts as the rarest of Metals.
Problem #3 .
That 2,000 foot fall you mentioned as Pit's highest feet of endurance came as a result of Hades crushing the GST that Pit was inside of.
So Pit endured being smashed by Hades with whatever the force necessary to shatter Orichalcum is, followed by a 2,000 foot fall to the ground before continuing to fight and show little sign of fatigue.
Problem #4.
Why did Pit put on the Three Sacred Treasures, his most powerful weapon, and do nothing with it but fire 5 arrows?
Problem #5.
The Pegasus Boots increase his already fast speed, and yet he DIDN'T dodge Sora's incoming laser. I wouldn't believe he "Wouldn't have the reaction time to dodge it" when he's dodged faster attacks at closer range, that home in on him.
Problem #6.
The Mirror Shield can block or deflect anything that comes it contact with it.
Again, Pit did nothing with it during this fight even though it's one of his most powerful pieces of equipment. The fuck?
I'm fine with Pit losing this fight, but at least TRY to give a reason as to why he would lose instead of throwaway reasons that can be easily countered had reasoning and research not been omitted during the planning of this fight.
And the Lunar Sanctum Laser?
Pit later got closer to it, and it turned around and shot at him point blank. He still dodged it, you do the math on that.

@@spencerc4252 true , one cannot directly measure the boost the angel guy gets from the equipment and if you're right , the chariot feat is null. If he's right about the lightning feats are correct then Pitt is as fast as Sora. So Screwattack's conclusion that Sora could land the killing blow first is false. In addition, fictional metals have been analyzed before but you're probably right with your reasoning there.
@@spencerc4252 you are correct on the second point, did some looking on the wiki and didn't really see anything quantifiable involving the amour other than what the guy said above. About the first one though, Sora was with Riku in that scenario and the distance between them and the lasers being fired would determine what percentage of the speed of light the lasers were going(deathbattle used this to determine afro samurai's reaction) Pitt dodged multiple strikes according to the guy above and beat the Goddess of lightning herself as well as beat someone who could teleport. You are correct to assume that because of their respective speed feats that it could be possible that they are even.The problem is, the boost in stats that Pitt gets from the amour isn't mentioned so i can't say Pitt would get the necessary boost in speed to land the killing blow. Then again, Sora has Time manipulation and Pitt has better maneuverability and evasion.

So , from your information Sora faced a similar enemy and has multiple healing items and accessories. I'm now considering getting into the franchise so i have nothing to input about Pitt's healing arsenal. Even without it, Sora has the durability over Pitt so unless the guy who started this comment chain has anything to add.....it's looking grim for Pitt since i have no quantifiable boosts from the armour that would put him above Sora. I can't say reflecting the attack would kill him nor one blow from the bow would do it either.

No, they don't. Where did you get that idea? There videos can go up to 30 minutes if they feel like. Look at Goku vs Superman.
You guys do know the animation is just for show and doesn't really matter only the research matters
But the animation is their chance to show the culmination of their "research" and "knowledge" on how the fight would actually go in given scenario, which, if not perfect, it should at least be believable. And if only the research matters, a good 70% of the death battles are pretty much invalidated right there. And they don't do hardly any research. They do a little bit, highly selectively, and then extrapolate those instances out to their "full potential", which is always wrong.
The videos are entertaining, but the inaccuracies take away from it. For example, they stated that pit ultimate arrow can break through and kill anything, yet somehow, sora was able to use his keyblade laser attack and easily destroy it. They literally contradicted themselves and failed to explain how pit's ultimate attack was outright destroyed. They only stated the laser's speed, not strength. Also, they are using explosive power to determine power based on pressure, which is a complete inaccuracy. I like both characters and tbh it could have gone either way, but their execution of said battles is piss poor at best. They might as well stop trying to explain their powers if they're just going to do fan service.

That's a massacre, no matter how you approach it the plot shreds all signs of logic.
Kingdom Hearts would lose, on the grounds that KH3D brought in time travel. There is no more surefire method to ruin your plot's consistency and snap suspension of disbelief than retconning everything that used to be important via time travel.

Honestly pit was still shooting his beam attack. He can’t shoot the beam and reflect at the same time.
It's a Bow shot, he didn't need to concentrate the beam attack.
Thing there is with how they described it, the beam moved to fast for pit to react, animation shows more because this is a show for entertaining viewers, but that would be why it wasn’t reflected

I think they only gave Sora magic that he has to get to progress the game. In a lot of games with open customization they stick to what the character is shown using via cutseens or other promo material. Cause, oh man, Sora gets wonky with magics eventually

Funnily enough, with KH3 Sora can use transformations, which are basically drive forms but without the friend absorbing part. So it would be even more unfair.

I would like to point out that Drive forms being locked to Sora’s friends is purely a gameplay mechanic as opposed to being canonical, as evidenced by Sora’s introduction to Valor Form in KH2 not causing Goofy to disappear in the cutscene. Make no mistake, this shouldn’t have even been close, Sora stomps hard.

Makenah Langley Limit was mentioned in a note. All it really does is give him access to old abilities. Since they gave him stuff like Ragnarok and Sonic Blade at base, there was no real point to him switching to it.
GoldenCyclone4 entering Limit might just give him old abilities they already gave him, but you know what else it does... Gives him an instant full HP and MP regen.
