Yes! I kept being frustrated by advice directed at technicians, but I suppose that is most people wanting to go into small biz. I think I'm more strongly manager than most, although my weakness would probably be entrepreneur.

I finished reading E-myth yesterday and your video popped up! I started my immigration law firm 11 yrs ago - I am a solo attorney with a team of 4 located in US, Argentina, Bahrain, and India. The E-myth has unlocked a passion I didnt know I had. I wake up excited to work on the business. My clients are global and so is my team. Later this month, I plan to take a 3 day solo retreat to codify the SOP, from onboarding, opening cases, intakes and several other processes. What are some basics of an SOP? Should SOP be in writing, video or image form? What tools arw available to help create SOP in a way that is easy to follow? Looking forward to your offerings in this space!
I am starting a time-management and goal setting coaching service and am currently in the planning stage. I am a music teacher teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, and drums, and I want to expand and do more. I teach a range of students from primary/high school kids to business owners and CEOs, and I realised I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals and manage their time. The other one that directly connects with this is living below your means. Love this video, Ali! I've heard about this book so many times but haven't read it myself. I need to get my hands on the book and actually read it. To answer your question, though, the biggest struggle is mindset. I think I'm too close to the business, and I feel like everything that happens or doesn't happen to the business is a reflection of me as a person. So, learning to separate 'me' from 'the business' has been at the top of my mind and is a moment-to-moment practice.
21:40 My biggest struggle with growing my business is what you said in the middle of the video. Juggling everything. Sales, marketing, the work itself, scaling. It's a lot!! The BIG thing that has helped me this year is to be a part of a community with other business owners in my field. That has helped soooo much! It keeps me accountable, I'm learning new stuff everyday. I'm not an entrepeneur and still your business yt videos teach me so much. I'm a student studying biology and I'm always looking for tips to manage my life beyond time Management tips. I believe there's an easier way. The video resonated with me because i was experimenting with protocols in my life (like SOPs ) and surprisingly I found myself to manage a lot more life areas like uni, friends and fam, travel, a few hobbies and health and still find myself lying in bed watching yt without feeling guilty. I hate to suggest it because my favorite type of videos are book reviews/main takeaways… but researching tools is what takes up so much of my time (and making those purchasing decisions)😭 content creation tools, automation services, point of sale, cameras, mics, laptops, tablets, design tools … there are so many decisions to make 😅

Another great video! My largest struggle would be transitioning from a technician and niching down. I currently do design, video and photo and am pretty evenly dispersed between the three. These all require my time but I know I'm capped at how much I can do. The obvious next step would be hiring but in the past this has been more work than it has been helpful. I would like to create something that uses these skills in some fashion but does not monopolize my time.
It's brilliant. An eye opener. A new perspective for start ups. After seeing many business owners toil in their routines, I always had the guilt that I am not involving physically much with my work force. My guilt is gone now. (I am setting up a micro farm after learning for few years). I am 63. Going strong. Thanks.

One of my many obstacles is actually growing the business, how do i survive financially from working full time and a steady paycheck to full time business? How can i define my business (without getting lost in all the things i am interested in)? And how to reestablish the business in a bigger city? All these questions have been floating in mind and the answers i get are usually chaotic. I apologise if this isn’t feasible feedback. I will make sure to read the e myth book. Thanks, Ali! I love that you are also branching into health and business along with productivity. I would love the fundamental financial key indicators we should track as a small business owner, E.g. cash flow, opex, etc. Also, metrics that are leading controllable inputs vs uncontrollable lagging output.
Great video. I will definitely have to pick this one up. I run a MMA gym and my biggest hurdles have been staffing and trusting people to run my classes. Not that I don't trust the people specifically, just the way they teach is may not be the way I do it. I feel the system section of the book may help with this.
They all need to do the same (you instruct them for a month or so), but it is essential they have different personalities... I can only train and have business with serious, quiet and grounded people, my friends want funny and loud ones)😊
This has to be the best video you have ever done Ali, because it answers a very important concept, which is the idea of making a business out of your passion. This concept, which seems to be what everyone in society are prompting as the ultimate success, yet no one discuss the reality of what it really means or look like. This is probably the reason why I'm not interested in starting a business as an artist, I love art making so much, but couldn't care less about the customers needs, art is a very selfish thing that I enjoy doing. I'm the technician in this case, never the manager nor the entrepreneur, which is ok, because just like the book says its just not for everyone. Your explanation of this book in a very easy, short, understandable way, was so useful Ali, thank you.
Really enjoyed this video. I started this book but somewhere along the way abandoned it for another book. I'm going to get back to reading it now! I'm definitely somewhere between infant and adolsecent. I realize I need to get help to grow my newsletter, but I've been resistant. I am the classic "technician" who needs to get with the program and face the music.
Hi Ali. First I just wanted to say thank you! I have learned so much from you. You are a true hero! I am a small business owner (hairdresser). My problem is stability. My brand grew a lot over the last year and keeps on growing. Most months I am quite happy with the money I make and it is enough to pay all my expenses and reinvest into the brand. However, there are always quiet times which give me time to work on the brand and advertise. However, these times can be quite challenging as at the back of my mind I will be worried about paying my bills etc.

My new business is very niche and so I’m not sure how I can incorporate a “system”, but this has given me a few things to think about - particularly my frustration with trying to get to grips with Kajabi and filming videos, when I feel my time would be better spent on writing my next book to build on what dog professionals and guardians gleaned from my first book 3 years ago. I'm in the process of starting my own business now actually. I picked up the E-myth after it was referenced in a small business accounting book that I am reading. The concept of working on the business , not in it, is important for me to hear. My biggest struggle apart from legal hurdles is making moves quicker and not delaying starting things because I feel I need to read and prepare more, it is an elegant form of procrastination. I should have started this a year ago.
The single biggest struggle for starting a business is that you have to do everything yourself in the beginning. Because you don't have the resources to outsource. The technical work of different types (technician). The coordination between them (manager). And the creative vision and strategy thinking (entrepreneur). Doing the later by increasing your knowledge and learning more about business, economics, IT and humans in general. This is the biggest struggle, Ali.
One of the things I enjoy most about you is your ability to take a topic that many of us struggle with - and being a solo-preneur is very emotional and solitary territory for many of us - and bringing clarity, insights, and logic to it. I often come away feeling like "why didn't I understand this before, on my own?" But often the passion for what we do as creatives blinds us to the areas where we have weaknesses and we just hope we will grow into those and get better in those areas by the act of doing. As you (and the E-myth book) point out, it's rarely the case. Thank you, Ali, for making sense of it all for us - as only you can. That's a gift.

I have a small business producing storytelling-podcasts (solo). Biggest struggle is finding out when to hire my first employee, how much financial risk I will take with that and if I like ‘managing’ instead of doing the creative work myself.

I started an at home baking business this year. My top sellers are sourdough breads and brioche cinnamon rolls. At the moment I feel my biggest challenge is getting weekly customers so I guess marketing. During the summer we had a local farmers market where I engaged with anyone that would even look at me when I said hi and always offer a free sample. That all went very well but the transition to home sales feels like it’s become a different business than the farmers market. This video was so very helpful. I definitely need to spend more time being the manager. Thank you for opening my eyes to this.
Wow, I have never heard of SOP before, but now everything clicked! My biggest hurdle yet was that I didn‘t have the headspace and time to think about starting something of my own because of all the stuff I did for university. And admittedly, I didn‘t want to sacrifice my entire free time work again. After long consideration though, I paused uni and it feels great to do something on my own for the first time
I’d love to know the exact step by step for creating a business; like the “SOP” of creating a business. Personally I’m also afraid of all the legal stuff. Like I can make a video, but then if it get monetise, I need to create a company? How does that work? I?m afraid of creating legally a company, taxes for company etc…. And that holds me back. SO yeah, a masterclass on how to start from zero a bussiness, maybe a great video idea would be to do a video similar to mark Manson where you start a business from zero or you help a subscriber to zero and move from there, like a short video series on the development of “Sara’s bakery”. I think that would be a great idea, ideas are great, but as you know the courses are very technical and specific and concrete, an example has pros that an argument hasn’t. That clarity and precision would be great!
I used to have that problem as well: wanting to thing everything out before taking the first step. The thing is: every step you take will open up the “fog of war” and you’ll be able to figure out the next few steps. Don’t over complicate things before you even start. As they say “we’ll cross the bridge when we get there”. PS - you don’t necessarily need to create a company once you start monetizing. It just might be more tax efficient. And it takes A LOT of work to monetize. So you’ll be ready by then
My biggest struggle is giving up control ! But now, I didn’t delegate enough and I’m burnt out. But this book review really helps. I never thought of it as three different identities but it makes a lot of sense. Hoping to implement a lot of these strategies to my business. Ima content creator on Facebook and the thought of just being able to teach someone to make these videos would be much better than what I’m doing now lol we’ve gotten over a billion views on there but it’s most not sustainable for me as it is anymore. I’be been teaching (for almost 3 years now) vocal lessons to about 10 kids at home after my full time job as a software engineer and I draw absolute joy out of it. I’ve been thinking of scaling (because of a lot of local Demand and referrals through word of mouth) in a way that take a lot of my active time out of my daily life because I am not ready to quit my job yet or scale by teaching more kids coz that can only go so far. Your videos and especially this one resonates deeply and I agree I shouldn’t be doing all the technical work but I am clueless as to how I can get started thinking about scaling this slowly. Thank you so much for sharing your own journey in all these videos. They make it super relatable and doable for anyone. Keep up the good work.

I just rented out my own space to build my business as a solo esthetician. my focus is on providing korean skincare treatments to my community. kbeauty is a rising market and I'm only of very few clinic in my area honed in on this. I would say the biggest challenge is finding clients willing to pay for your service in a very competitive and price war industry.
Pick a person you want to serve, speak to their reasons and benefits for them wanting to come to you, attract and market better and build a strong brand which will make what you charge not relevant for comparison to others.

It's been years since I read this book, but the fact that I remembered so many of the points indicates how well it's laid out. Going to re-read it again this month because of this video!
I'm still very early in where I want to be and starting a business, but I've love the genuine and holistic nature of your content. These aren't do this one thing for success, but really summarizing and packaging the tools you need to succeed in a variety of things. In my field there are tons of technical challenges, but I've begun to see how most of the time the technical challenges are often the "easiest" especially when you're the technician. Many of the things in this video give insight into that. I've watched some of the videos on non-business things, but I really like the book club series. I'm really bad at sourcing books sometimes and so this is a great way to get an idea of what something is and maybe my next read!
Embracing tools like automation software can really help streamline operations, allowing you to focus more on your passion and less on the mundane tasks that come with running a business.
My biggest struggle with running my business is finding the time in between working a full-time job and studying for my master's degree. I think my biggest takeaway from this, is going to be learning how to build processes and trusting the people around me to deliver on what I need. Thank you Ali for this video. Having a big vision also means to have a bigger vessel to accept money coming in. Most of us small business or small creators fear of investing more money into our ventures thinking it will be a waste but money brings money. Rewiring these limiting beliefs really helps to attract wealth
I am a physiotherapist (from France) and I work in the same practice as my mother. By next year, I should take over the practice in my name. Currently, there are three physiotherapists and one chiropractor, and I would like to develop the practice to attract more clients, allowing me to generate better revenue without compromising the quality of care. Most importantly, I need to find a way to recruit one or two people when my mother retires. If I were to think big, the idea of opening multiple practices with several physiotherapists working in them would be a significant step towards financial independence and might allow me to have more free time to think about the next steps.

Second, I have 2-3 really good ideas, but how do I choose the one that’s truly great and focus all my energy on making that idea a reality?
Ali, thank you! Super excited to read this book. I thought I was going mad spreading myself so thin doing all sorts of things for the business to the point I got burnt out. It's good to know that I'm supposed to be in three different roles in one. You asked for my biggest struggle in running a business, it's discipline without getting burnt out. You see I can wake up at 6am and work until 8pm at night, but in truth, I don't see how sustainable that is. Personally, I get burnt out, and my recovery period is far longer than I'd like it to be. I guess my question is how do we discipline ourselves in a way that 1. is sustainable for long periods, 2. master our own circadian rhythm to match that need to grow our business and 3. enjoy the process.
Great video and a very real challenge I'm facing, I'm a freelance designer after a 10 year career in a design studio. Currently I'm working for brands like Adobe, Makers Mark, El Jimador and Bose, but I'm also doing work for local businesses where I live. The past 6 months have been 12-14 hour days trying to stay on top of things. One of the things I run into with my startup business which is drones and virtual tours, is onboarding a salesperson. Starting a business! This video might be a little advanced for me, but I think I still find it helpful! My biggest struggle: picking an idea for a business, maybe? But I'm reading Million Dollar Weekend and Million Dollar Fastlane (again) since you recommended these two for people starting a business, and these books have been helpful for coming up with ideas. My biggest struggle now is making the time to try out the ideas, but I think I'm figuring that out too.
Pacing myself due to chronic pain and illnesses and fatigue. I have many more ideas than I can imagine completing. And yet, I’m willing to give it a try and figure out how to make it a business that makes these ideas reality for others to enjoy.
Made it to end of video. For me, the biggest road block from taking action and starting , after watching your videos, is trying to find a business idea that is “B2B” and that I can value at 2K$/month. Every idea I think of goes back to business for consumers, or not valuable enough for 2K. So I guess I need to do more research on what businesses need that I can provide at that value.
This is interesting. I read this book when you first mentioned it, brought it on vacation, and I felt it gave nothing new that isn’t out there already. I am glad it was meaningful to you and that you were able to use it. Some books speak more to some than to others.
I have been in biz for myself for over 20 years. And I'm good at the admin/management but I found the best biz to run for a solo was careers that didn't require too much management. Stuff that has repeating clients is my favorite. Marketing takes too much time and or expense for a biz that isn't something people really want. I had a small cleaning biz for 20+ years and it was 5he same people, same schedule, same pay every month.
I run an industrial water plant full time and own 2 small businesses; 1- self serve car wash 2- commercial vineyard for wine My biggest hurdle is how to afford help, even part-time. I know it needs to be done, but the 1st year of labor cost with current wages is such a jump that it would be like taking 3 steps back. It’s almost as big of a faith based gamble as buying/starting the business itself. I’m interested in this topic. Thanks for the great video

I have been following and watching your videos for almost 3 years now since i first joined Medical School which helped me in studying, retaining and remembering all the knowledge i learnt from my lectures; the evidenced based study guides really helped me a lot. Thank you so much for that. So currently i got work and i do save a minimum of 200USD per month with a plan of starting an agriculture business by next year. I think this video has really help me to do more and start the journey and quit my current job as a Pharmacy Assistant. As soon i start the business i will take videos of it and post on RUclips everyday to share the knowledge, skills and encourage others to also start anything that they are passionate about. I am 17, starting to think about which type of work I would be doing in future. I am quite interested in understanding history and its relationship to our modern era, which philosophies were prevalent at which time and stuff. Though I have no idea what can my business be about, I do think I need more time and self-reflection to understand. I will read the book Ali and it might help in one way or the other as ur advice is genuinely especially ur advice on how to retain information for a longer period of time. And of course the study tips and techniques are really helpful Thanks
History and philosophy makes me think of book authoring or teaching. If there was a duplicate of you with a business, why would you pay that person £500? You might buy ten books or take a course. Why would you buy those books or that course? It might be that all of this is a fantasy that will never go anywhere despite it being a hobby. Ali's book review was about being hard headed. Don't open a bakery just because you like baking.

I'm a small business owner from Austria. My biggest struggles - despite systems in place - pertain exactly to being the entrepreneur, the manager, and the technician all at once. It's way more time-consuming than I thought. At the same time, if you are selling services, like me, there is also the struggle of conducting a successful online sales-meeting (especially when you have an experienced negotiator on your screen).

Yes! I kept being frustrated by advice directed at technicians, but I suppose that is most people wanting to go into small biz. I think I'm more strongly manager than most, although my weakness would probably be entrepreneur.

I finished reading E-myth yesterday and your video popped up! I started my immigration law firm 11 yrs ago - I am a solo attorney with a team of 4 located in US, Argentina, Bahrain, and India.
The E-myth has unlocked a passion I didnt know I had. I wake up excited to work on the business. My clients are global and so is my team.
Later this month, I plan to take a 3 day solo retreat to codify the SOP, from onboarding, opening cases, intakes and several other processes.
What are some basics of an SOP? Should SOP be in writing, video or image form? What tools arw available to help create SOP in a way that is easy to follow?

Love this video, Ali! I've heard about this book so many times but haven't read it myself. I need to get my hands on the book and actually read it. To answer your question, though, the biggest struggle is mindset. I think I'm too close to the business, and I feel like everything that happens or doesn't happen to the business is a reflection of me as a person. So, learning to separate 'me' from 'the business' has been at the top of my mind and is a moment-to-moment practice.

Another great video! My largest struggle would be transitioning from a technician and niching down. I currently do design, video and photo and am pretty evenly dispersed between the three. These all require my time but I know I'm capped at how much I can do. The obvious next step would be hiring but in the past this has been more work than it has been helpful. I would like to create something that uses these skills in some fashion but does not monopolize my time.

One of my many obstacles is actually growing the business, how do i survive financially from working full time and a steady paycheck to full time business?

Great video. I will definitely have to pick this one up. I run a MMA gym and my biggest hurdles have been staffing and trusting people to run my classes. Not that I don't trust the people specifically, just the way they teach is may not be the way I do it. I feel the system section of the book may help with this.

This has to be the best video you have ever done Ali, because it answers a very important concept, which is the idea of making a business out of your passion. This concept, which seems to be what everyone in society are prompting as the ultimate success, yet no one discuss the reality of what it really means or look like. This is probably the reason why I'm not interested in starting a business as an artist, I love art making so much, but couldn't care less about the customers needs, art is a very selfish thing that I enjoy doing. I'm the technician in this case, never the manager nor the entrepreneur, which is ok, because just like the book says its just not for everyone. Your explanation of this book in a very easy, short, understandable way, was so useful Ali, thank you.

Hi Ali. First I just wanted to say thank you! I have learned so much from you. You are a true hero! I am a small business owner (hairdresser). My problem is stability. My brand grew a lot over the last year and keeps on growing. Most months I am quite happy with the money I make and it is enough to pay all my expenses and reinvest into the brand. However, there are always quiet times which give me time to work on the brand and advertise. However, these times can be quite challenging as at the back of my mind I will be worried about paying my bills etc.

I'm in the process of starting my own business now actually. I picked up the E-myth after it was referenced in a small business accounting book that I am reading. The concept of working on the business , not in it, is important for me to hear. My biggest struggle apart from legal hurdles is making moves quicker and not delaying starting things because I feel I need to read and prepare more, it is an elegant form of procrastination. I should have started this a year ago.

The single biggest struggle for starting a business is that you have to do everything yourself in the beginning. Because you don't have the resources to outsource. The technical work of different types (technician). The coordination between them (manager). And the creative vision and strategy thinking (entrepreneur). Doing the later by increasing your knowledge and learning more about business, economics, IT and humans in general. This is the biggest struggle, Ali.
One of the things I enjoy most about you is your ability to take a topic that many of us struggle with - and being a solo-preneur is very emotional and solitary territory for many of us - and bringing clarity, insights, and logic to it. I often come away feeling like "why didn't I understand this before, on my own?" But often the passion for what we do as creatives blinds us to the areas where we have weaknesses and we just hope we will grow into those and get better in those areas by the act of doing. As you (and the E-myth book) point out, it's rarely the case. Thank you, Ali, for making sense of it all for us - as only you can. That's a gift.

I started an at home baking business this year. My top sellers are sourdough breads and brioche cinnamon rolls. At the moment I feel my biggest challenge is getting weekly customers so I guess marketing. During the summer we had a local farmers market where I engaged with anyone that would even look at me when I said hi and always offer a free sample. That all went very well but the transition to home sales feels like it’s become a different business than the farmers market. This video was so very helpful. Wow, I have never heard of SOP before, but now everything clicked! My biggest hurdle yet was that I didn‘t have the headspace and time to think about starting something of my own because of all the stuff I did for university. And admittedly, I didn‘t want to sacrifice my entire free time work again. After long consideration though, I paused uni and it feels great to do something on my own for the first time
I’d love to know the exact step by step for creating a business; like the “SOP” of creating a business. Personally I’m also afraid of all the legal stuff. Like I can make a video, but then if it get monetise, I need to create a company? How does that work? I?m afraid of creating legally a company, taxes for company etc…. And that holds me back.
SO yeah, a masterclass on how to start from zero a bussiness, maybe a great video idea would be to do a video similar to mark Manson where you start a business from zero or you help a subscriber to zero and move from there, like a short video series on the development of “Sara’s bakery”.
I think that would be a great idea, ideas are great, but as you know the courses are very technical and specific and concrete, an example has pros that an argument hasn’t. That clarity and precision would be great!
I used to have that problem as well: wanting to thing everything out before taking the first step.
The thing is: every step you take will open up the “fog of war” and you’ll be able to figure out the next few steps.
Don’t over complicate things before you even start.
As they say “we’ll cross the bridge when we get there”.
PS - you don’t necessarily need to create a company once you start monetizing. It just might be more tax efficient.
And it takes A LOT of work to monetize. So you’ll be ready by then

I just rented out my own space to build my business as a solo esthetician. my focus is on providing korean skincare treatments to my community. kbeauty is a rising market and I'm only of very few clinic in my area honed in on this. I would say the biggest challenge is finding clients willing to pay for your service in a very competitive and price war industry.
Pick a person you want to serve, speak to their reasons and benefits for them wanting to come to you, attract and market better and build a strong brand which will make what you charge not relevant for comparison to others.

I'm still very early in where I want to be and starting a business, but I've love the genuine and holistic nature of your content. These aren't do this one thing for success, but really summarizing and packaging the tools you need to succeed in a variety of things.
In my field there are tons of technical challenges, but I've begun to see how most of the time the technical challenges are often the "easiest" especially when you're the technician. Many of the things in this video give insight into that.
I've watched some of the videos on non-business things, but I really like the book club series. I'm really bad at sourcing books sometimes and so this is a great way to get an idea of what something is and maybe my next read!

Having a big vision also means to have a bigger vessel to accept money coming in. Most of us small business or small creators fear of investing more money into our ventures thinking it will be a waste but money brings money. Rewiring these limiting beliefs really helps to attract wealth
I am a physiotherapist (from France) and I work in the same practice as my mother. By next year, I should take over the practice in my name. Currently, there are three physiotherapists and one chiropractor, and I would like to develop the practice to attract more clients, allowing me to generate better revenue without compromising the quality of care. Most importantly, I need to find a way to recruit one or two people when my mother retires. If I were to think big, the idea of opening multiple practices with several physiotherapists working in them would be a significant step towards financial independence and might allow me to have more free time to think about the next steps.

Ali, thank you! Super excited to read this book. I thought I was going mad spreading myself so thin doing all sorts of things for the business to the point I got burnt out. It's good to know that I'm supposed to be in three different roles in one.
You asked for my biggest struggle in running a business, it's discipline without getting burnt out. You see I can wake up at 6am and work until 8pm at night, but in truth, I don't see how sustainable that is. Personally, I get burnt out, and my recovery period is far longer than I'd like it to be.
I guess my question is how do we discipline ourselves in a way that
1. is sustainable for long periods,
2. master our own circadian rhythm to match that need to grow our business and
3. enjoy the process.

Starting a business! This video might be a little advanced for me, but I think I still find it helpful! My biggest struggle: picking an idea for a business, maybe? But I'm reading Million Dollar Weekend and Million Dollar Fastlane (again) since you recommended these two for people starting a business, and these books have been helpful for coming up with ideas. My biggest struggle now is making the time to try out the ideas, but I think I'm figuring that out too.
Pacing myself due to chronic pain and illnesses and fatigue. I have many more ideas than I can imagine completing. And yet, I’m willing to give it a try and figure out how to make it a business that makes these ideas reality for others to enjoy.

For me, the biggest road block from taking action and starting , after watching your videos, is trying to find a business idea that is “B2B” and that I can value at 2K$/month. Every idea I think of goes back to business for consumers, or not valuable enough for 2K. So I guess I need to do more research on what businesses need that I can provide at that value.

I have been in biz for myself for over 20 years. And I'm good at the admin/management but I found the best biz to run for a solo was careers that didn't require too much management. Stuff that has repeating clients is my favorite. Marketing takes too much time and or expense for a biz that isn't something people really want. I had a small cleaning biz for 20+ years and it was 5he same people, same schedule, same pay every month.
I run an industrial water plant full time and own 2 small businesses; 1- self serve car wash
2- commercial vineyard for wine
My biggest hurdle is how to afford help, even part-time. I know it needs to be done, but the 1st year of labor cost with current wages is such a jump that it would be like taking 3 steps back. It’s almost as big of a faith based gamble as buying/starting the business itself. I’m interested in this topic. Thanks for the great video

I am 17, starting to think about which type of work I would be doing in future. I am quite interested in understanding history and its relationship to our modern era, which philosophies were prevalent at which time and stuff. Though I have no idea what can my business be about, I do think I need more time and self-reflection to understand.
I will read the book Ali and it might help in one way or the other as ur advice is genuinely especially ur advice on how to retain information for a longer period of time. And of course the study tips and techniques are really helpful

History and philosophy makes me think of book authoring or teaching. If there was a duplicate of you with a business, why would you pay that person £500? You might buy ten books or take a course. Why would you buy those books or that course? It might be that all of this is a fantasy that will never go anywhere despite it being a hobby. Ali's book review was about being hard headed. Don't open a bakery just because you like baking.

I'm a small business owner from Austria. My biggest struggles - despite systems in place - pertain exactly to being the entrepreneur, the manager, and the technician all at once. It's way more time-consuming than I thought. At the same time, if you are selling services, like me, there is also the struggle of conducting a successful online sales-meeting (especially when you have an experienced negotiator on your screen).
