with new patch and new addition of books, many of us were sad, that we couldn't move our books lying flat. I have come up with the solution and I hope you find it useful.

i struggle placing the book on the dessert bowl , it says invalid placement each time no matter what position??

Hi, I found this a very useful tip but it wasn’t easy to do, but I have done a lot of difficult to place building on my lot as I follow horrible gaming etc. So I was just trying to place the book without much thinking and it wouldn’t work, then I turned on the grid and made sure that the gourmet bowl was placed directly above one of the thicker white grid lines and it worked. I did this same thing a second time both on and off the grid and it would only work with the bowl directly above the thicker line. I thought this might help those on pc who are having trouble, thanks again, ☘️☘️💜💜

I'm so sad it doesn't work on Steamdeck. Tried to do it exactly like shown, but even when using keyboard and mouse it won't let me. But I am still amazed how you find out all this little tricks! Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this awesome tip. However, I am trying to do this myself but having a bit of trouble. I have done every step you did but when I go to place the book it says something is in the way so I will move the book around then it proceeds to say that this is not a valid placement location. Please help 😅sorry for a long comment
Are you trying this on Switch or PC? On switch many of tricks do not work unfortunately. Also make sure you're using the correct bowl. There is 2 types.
@@ellyonartgaming I am trying this on the switch and I will try using the other bowl did not know there was two different kinds.
No matter what I did this did not work. The book does not seem to recognize the gourmet dessert bowl as a surface. I also tried the gourmet cup as someone else's video used that, still no success. I will hope sometime the devs will realize we need flat and open books, as someone else commented. Thanks for your work on this

For some reason, I can't get this to work. It keeps saying either invalid placement location or something in the way. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
