I personally love both bands, I lean towards Metallica more however. Metallica has Megadeth beat in diversity and overall catchyness, Megadeth has Metallica beat in technicality however. If only there was a band with Hetfield on vocals and rhythm guitar, Mustaine on lead guitar, Cliff Burton on bass, and Nick Menza on drums
Except for Nick Mensa on drums, dave was in Metallica and wrote half a dozen of the songs on their first two albums, and played with them between 81-early 83. So for a time, we nearly had our only heavy metal supergroup.
