Hi there. Not sure whether this is a forum to share details of ants species. I found what I think to be Austrolasius workers in a flavus colony. There not recorded in UK, but this genus is a temporary host of Flavus. No photos though. Any comments please

So based in there other locations to start with, there seems no reason it couldn't live in the uk as there are some cold places they call home. Could they get here ? Yes certainly. Importing plants from all over Europe was super easy before brexit and still is just slightly more regulated.from what can read where they live theyl live in abundance to so possibly a plant growers greenhouse is in one of these rich areas, many of there plants could host the colonys and If a few are imported together they could potentially breed letting them get a foothold in the uk. As they look similar to flavs most people wouldn't be trying or even be able to differentiate the 2 species. There's a good chance you've found a new invasive species, could also even be a non documented native and noones got lucky enough to survey a site rich in them yet however this may be less likely. I imagine most ants in Europe will expand territories from west to east with the prevailing wind and most documented native areas seem to be Eastern Europe, may be difficult to battle the wind from there all the way to the uk.
