God richly bless you and your ministry pastor doug. This has made me open my eyes again to see truth found only in Gods Word and to be a seeker of righteousness giving my heart to God daily.
I was not even an SDA when I was convinced about the seventh day as a Day of rest instead of the 1st day of the week.
I am determined to keep the Seventh day not because I have been convinced by somebody like H.G. White, or an SDA person and so forth but through reading and understanding what the Bible says.
Genesis 2: 2-3 tells me clearly that, God had blessed and sanctified the seventh day at creation and had make this become one of His laws in Exodus 20: verses 8, 9 and 10. Daniel 7:25 foretells of the man/system that ... will think to change times and laws... (I believe this means changing the seventh day to the first day of the week), so to speak, making a change in the commandment spoken of in Exodus chapter 20, verses 8, 9 and 10. Jesus did not destroy the law which cannot be none other than the very law God gave to Moses in the old testament because in Matt. 5: 17-19, Jesus clearly states that He did not come to destroy the law and the prophets but to fulfill; that till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one little title shall in no wise pass from the law...
John 14:15 gives me a condition of keeping God's commandments if I love Him, so I am trying all my best to study these commandments to avoid failing in anyone of them as we are warned not to, otherwise we would be guilty of failing all of them!
To close, I quote Rev. 22:14 and Rev. 14:12:
* Revelation 14:12- " Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus".
* Revelation 22: 14- "Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
God +Jesus + Holy Spirit = 1

Gladys, the same happened to me, our dear God revealed His Sabbath to me as I read His word; note that I read the same books and passages many times before but those passages just jumped out of the pages into my heart. I was living a challenging situation and decided to keep the Sabbath; that Friday night I went to bed and I had such a good night of sleep, so rested and peaceful the next morning. I have been keeping The precious Sabbath since then, work challenges and everything else you can imagine, but God WILL make a way and bless us as is His deep desire. Thank you for your post!!!

If you are honestly seeking for truth from the scriptures, open your minds. Look up the scriptures that Pastor Doug provides, and study them in context. Some of us don't need an explanation for what is so clear and obvious...but others might. It's not a stretch to read, study, and be in agreement with this teaching. I know that much of the teachings of the SDA Church cut to the very heart of what so many of us have believed from childhood, but that doesn't mean that it's false. SDA,s use the Holy Bible as their only standard. I don't wish to put anybody down, but some of the comments from the "haters" show me three things: 1) You weren't paying attention, or 2) you base your judgments of "this guy" on a predisposition of prejudice to any SDA, not just him. 3) You are Bible illiterate because you choose to be, not willing to study these scriptures for yourselves, therefore saying mean and nasty things about one of God's servants. You're not rejecting Doug Batchelor, your rejecting God.

I was raised SDA but drifted away from the church when I got older. Now I'm 31,Divorced , and trying to find my way back to whats right.. its a long hard road out of hell tho, that's for sure!

I have woken up, thank God! I truly believe we were always, suppose to worship God, on the sabbath. I Worship God every day, but on Saturday, I worship God, from sun down Friday to sun down, on Saturday. This is Saturday, and it's long, after sundown, but I am watching these videos, because they are so interesting. Doug Batchelor is very interesting. I like, and believe everything he says, and I'm learning a lot. He is a very good pastor.

sounds like you been getting info from non sda or from nominal sda who don't know message. if we cant explain it simply we don't know it. I don't know any who believe hes come 2nd time. millerites believed Christ was to return in 1844 because of 2300 day prophecy...unto 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed...they didn't have all the pieces . ive never heard of them trying to cover up the great disappointment, they had to eat crow, but it drew them close to the word of god to figure what they had missed..paul refers to CHRIST our high priest, interceding on our behalf in the heavenly sanctuary. it was the sanctuary in heaven (the one moses was shown for a pattern) that was cleansed, CHRIST was moving from the holy to the most holy. the earthly sanctuary was given to show us how GOD saves us from sin. first the sacrifice, we either accept CHRISTS sacrifice or we reject it. then if were following well get baptized, the wash basin. its not over then no we enter the holy place. on the right we see the table of show bread, to the left the 7 lamp candle stand, forward we see the alter of incense. through this sanctuary service and the symbols they discorverd truths that had been forgotten/ truth hidden till the last days. read great controversy. I challenge you. get a strongs concordance and KJV bible and youll see the connections. like when revelation 14:6-12 says fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgement HAS come and worship him who made heaven and earth and the fountains of waters.....this wording is very similar to exodus 20:8-11its talking about worshipits talking about the only one that is worthy of our worship,our creator.read you bible don't take anyone elses interpretation. its your salvationit wasn't popular in noahs days to believe in and be obedient to god but noah was.look at Elijah on mount carmelmoses mainly look at the life of Christ , rome was compeled to murder him because of the so called religious leaders who moved the mob to yell -we have no king but Caesar- release barabbus. a religo-political power forcing its agenda on the world, its mark of authority is forced worship.

The Millerite movement(the people that thought Christ was coming back in 1844) consisted of various protestant denominations. This movement did not include SDA because the SDA church did not yet exist at that time. The SDA church was formed a few years after this movement. As a matter of fact, the people in that movement did not observe the seventh day Sabbath. Christ's "chosen' people are scattered throughout the various Christian denominations and some may not even be in any church at the moment.(Christ says his sheep are in different folds and that he must gather them all into one fold) I do believe the SDA church is the remnant church and I highly recommend looking a lot closer into the history and doctrines of the church.
I guess this clears piper pas' misconception about SDA were those who mispredicted the second coming.
Timothy Nash - The SDA church was established in 1863, but most of the founders had believed in the Millerite (Advent) movement. The prophecies were correct as far as date, but the event was wrong. No Protestant church had ever studies the Sanctuary and so they did not understand....”and then the Sanctuary will be cleansed”. They thought the earth was the Sanctuary and Jesus would burn up the earth at His 2nd coming (which will happen via HIs brightness). The Apostles in Jesus’ day had the same BITTER experience. They did not understand that Christ Jesus would DIE as the sacrificial lamb without spot or blemish for all of mankind’s sins at His 1st coming. They had misunderstood the Word of God. They had only honed in on the Scriptures regarding what Christ would do via His 2nd coming - set up His kingdom. However, they even got this wrong, because Christ was NOT going to set up His kingdom on this earth at His 2nd coming - but His 3rd. When Christ ascended, he had promised to take us WHERE he went - to Heaven. He does not set up His kingdom on this earth until all sinners, all SIN, death, and the grave have been burned up in the lake of fire - which takes place on the surface of the earth. After all the wicked have been consumed forever in the lake of fire, Christ will create a new heaven and a new earth. This is when He sets up His eternal Kingdom with those from this earth that chose His plan of redemption and had allowed God to sanctify them - change them back into His image of character.
Pastor Doug lets hope that all these people saying such awful things that the scales will fall off their eyes sothat they will beable to see Jesus.

Jesus did not come to contradict what he wrote in stone with his finger. GOD's law is good and shows his love in every commandment, yes even the 4th commandment, take note that the Sabbath existed even before sin came into play, as Christians we should follow Christ, and Christ kept the Sabbath till the day he died on the cross for us, I'm not forcing my beliefs on anyone, but don't lie on Jesus and use the bible to try and excuse your reasons for keeping pagan traditions.

nadonie beaussejour The 10 Commandments are not the law themselves but they were written before the law came into completion. God knows that no one can fulfill the law so he sent his only begotten Son into the world to do it. Love is the fulfillment of the law so walk in love and not displeasing God by trying to obey the law.

Christians tell me that God's Son changed His Dad's special Sabbath Day? Oh yeah? Show me this scripture. Not the one where they "met" on the first day of the week. The one that says.... "I , Jesus God's Son came to change the Sabbath Day to the first day of the week." Can you show me that one?

some will be sleeping because of different time zones..but due to the lightning from east to west,north to south..earth will be engulf with light and the thunders that follows lightnings will keep us all awake..unfortunately not all will be able to see Him unless all earthlings are/will gather in one place on earth..perhaps in megiddo..
They will all be able to see Him on their television screens. The rapture happens before Armageddon. See,Rev 14:14- for the rapture, " And I looked, and behold, a white cloud. And on the cloud sat one like the Son of man, having a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand.
"And another angel came out of the temple, crying in a great voice to Him sitting on the cloud, Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth was dried. And He sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped."
Moreover, Armageddon is long before Jesus' coming on his white horse. That coming of Him is known as the 'Battle of Azal' when his feet will rest in the Mt. Olives when it will 'split in two' during that earthquake.
all eyes will see him because the earth is flat...just all humans can see polaris at the same time wherever they are.. ..of course those who are sleeping will not be able to see polaris and at daytime with their naked eyes(need a telescope for that)... notice the expression..to the ends of the earth...a globe or spherical earth has no ends..the bible does not lie!

kim mathews - You are of the ‘cheap’ grace crowd. Giving our deceitful, wicked hearts to Jesus does not save us. We must receive a heart transplant from the grace (power) of Jesus via the Holy Spirit. Christ’s sacrifice only provided us a chance at salvation. The Bible says we MUST be born again, which means we must be turned - we must have our nature restored to the image of God’s character, and His character IS His, divine, eternal law. The 10-commandments is the standard we will be judged by. We are not saved by the law, but we won’t be saved unless we can keep God’s Law because breaking any of His laws is the definition of sin. Sin is transgression of God’s law and the penalty is ETERNAL death. Christ died this 2nd death for us, but He didn’t do so - so we could keep sinning. Lucifer and his rebellious angels were expelled from Heaven for breaking God’s law and NOT repenting. We must repent (turn away from) and confess our sins. True repentance means we must hate what God hates (SIN) and loves what He loves (Righteousness). God is not going to allow any sinners into Heaven when He had to expel angels for doing so. God does not FORCE us - we must ask Him to CHANGE us so we can be restored back into His image. His image is HIs character and His laws mirror His character - OTHER-centered, not self-centered. You have not given your heart to Jesus unless you have been changed BACK into His image. You just think you have given Him your heart. You have deceived yourself - the great majority of Christians have because of them listening to false teachers who say what they want to hear. STUDY God’s living word - it is the bread of LIFE. You must find the truth yourself and be convinced by God’s Word, and His word has power to change you. Al verse on any one subject must agree. If you think one of them says something different than the others - than you are not rightly understanding the verse difficult to understand. But if you compare them ALL in context, and pray for Holy Spirit guidance - you will see how you were misunderstanding the verse in question. Don’t be lazy - study to show your approved. Your destiny depends on it. Jesus say, If you love me, keep my commandments. Jesus is the One that wrote them with His own finger on the tablets of stone on Mt. Sinai. They are God’s law for His kingdom - His government. They will never change.
yes, the dead in christ will come out there graves, first and the righteous that still alive meet the Lord in haven. The dead evil will rise to see the Lord, but the brightness will kill them again they will sleep until the 1000 (1yr.) our time. The evil that remain on earth will try to take the new city coming down from heaven, then God will send fire down and burn the whole earth.

He will come to raise the dead bodies of his believers and his followers of himself Jesus Christ.

Friends Im trying to help you the jews celebrated their sabath on saturday. The catholic church accepted sunday from constantine a pagan folower to worship. No matter what people say and what people do to sda church. the bible says if you love him keep his comandments and if you dont worship on saturday you break the commandments and if you do that the bible says if he break at least one you break all of them all. So fact of the matter is 6 days you work last day in calendar is saturday jews celebreat on saturday god never changes his law just like that. jesus sayed i came to add to the law not take it away and he added love others as you love him. So if celebrate on sunday you deny GOD so dont become an SDA but at least celebrat on saturday if not you are forsaking god.

john carter No time has been lost. The 7th day of the week is the same now as it was at the end of creation week. God, Himself, set up the week.
john carter Jesus is our Sabbath. Hebrews 4 speaks of Jesus as our Sabbath rest. Verses 9-10 in particular state " So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God rested did from His". The key to understanding how Jesus is our Sabbath is understanding what Sabbath means. The word shabat means "rest". In Matthew 12:8 Jesus declared Himself "lord of the Sabbath". In Mark 2:27 He declared "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 reveal how a relationship with Jesus frees us from the works and allows a person to rest in the work of Christ on the cross. Jesus serves as our Sabbath rest in the sense that He provides freedom from living under the works of the law. Instead, His sacrifice has paid the price for our salvation as His free gift, entering into His rest both now as well as in eternity in His presence. As far as worshiping on Saturday or Sunday it makes no difference. For instance I worship God everyday.

We fulfill the 10 commandments by walking in love as Jesus Christ did. It is written very clearly in scripture that if anyone is trying to please God by obeying the Law and keeping the 10 commandments then they have fallen from grace (and may be not saved after all).

If you observe grace, grace isn't a catch-all for everything else that we may do bad and therefore get away with. Are you a parent? If you are a christian which means "follower of Christ" and God incentivates us in the Bible to follow him with all our heart and to glorify him in everything we do, then we ought to be christians 100% of our time. This is sometimes hard to accomplish as we are sinful creatures, but through a complete and honest conversion and accepting Christ I believe it it possible. And I believe it is because I know of such people, and I want to be one of them.
About the laws, there are many different laws in the Bible as you probably know, as the ceremonial laws, the 10 commandments, the jewish laws... However, I believe that a special importance is given to the 10 commandments because they will serve as a sign for Gods people in the end of times. I can read this in passages such as Mal. 4:4 and Rev. 14:12. So i believe it is important that we keep all 10 commandments and their instructions whilst also understanding the principle behind the commandments which is love to God and to one another.
I'm not sure what you mean by dimensions, but Gods law should be a integrate part of our lifestyle as christians and followers of God. If someone proclaims himself a follower of Christ but is not interested in following Gods commandments then it is in my opinion hypochresy. This is the case with for example the Catholic church, which deliberatly chose not to follow all of Gods commandments and values tradition more important. And not only the catholic church but many other christian congregations do not want to officially follow the 10 commandments because they do not believe they are important. However by reading the Bible in passages such as Matthew 5:17-20 and the above mentioned (as you probably alraedy know) one can only conclude that it is indeed important that we still follow and obey them.

I do not agree."Doing good" on an every day basis is NOT the same as keeping one day a week holy and spending time to build our relationship with Christ. It is important to note that we really should spend some time with God on a daily basis, but simply doing good acts is definitely not the same as keeping the Sabbath holy.Remember(hint), God set the Sabbath apart from the other days of the week to spend time with us Himself to help us grow into true children of God. This is why Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man.(Not man for the Sabbath)
