That's awesome! My son did the same from when he was about eight years old and did for quite a few years. He loved Pastor Doug's funny stories but he was unknowingly learning so much as well. He was supposed to be getting to sleep but I wasn't complaining! I listen to them at work and also when I can't sleep. I don't know if you know this (you most likely do since you are 20 and probably much more tech smart than me 😂) but I just thought to mention whenever you are ready to dive in to the Bible you can listen to it when you can't sleep as well. (Or any time). I use a New King James version app that you can just listen to but also has the option to read along as well. Anyway, thanks for reminding me of that time about my son. I hope your apprenticeship goes very well for you. 😊
I am reminded of my own experience. God found me after years of membership in dozens of apostate Protestant churches, Catholic Church, b’jai faith, Buddhism, and I even read some of the Koran! What a journey! I had given up on seeking a body of Bible believing people with a full understanding of the Bible. Then, God put Doug’s video in RUclips suggested video in 2017. There’s no turning back! Now I purchase and spread literature. I pray that you will continue on the good path. Trust God. Listen often. We are to avoid pharasaic behaviors and let live and mercy direct our Sabbath observance.
I am from Jamaica, grew up in the United church all my life but some how knew and had a concern about the Sabbath day. I started watching Amazing Facts and listening to Pastor Doug. There are many of we believers who do not have the funds to visit distance lands or to even travel to the oceans to go scuba diving. But we hold the hope that we shall dwell on this earth made new with Jesus. However, many of us do have the funds and our widows mite to help the missions in this world and those who desperately need the funds to spread the Gospel to those living in darkness and who are starving both spiritually and physically. May God help us all to make His work first and last in our daily lives. Let us always be aware of Satan's temptations in turning our minds away from the promised land.
So glad you spoke about dress in church.I can't believe what I've seen recently in some our North American Churches. The other "adornments" should also be spoken of. Some may not consider it "salvivic" but this liberal laodicean and disobedient shift is a sign of the leavening and shaking process.
Shabbat Shalom...I went to attend a certain church service, and after the service, a woman came to me as I stepped out the front door, and she introduced herself. She then started to witnessed to me about her son who is a Doctor, and how much money they have and so forth. Can you ever believe that? Shocker ! To be honest, sometimes, to me, church is a major turn-off. Only the Word of God can impress me, not wealth nor any earthly possessions.

Wonderful sermon - oh that all would hear and heed. God is calling but we His people are hard of hearing and hard of heart. God we pray that we as a people and a church may awaken from our slumber !
THAT is what I call uplifting, worship music. The music (instrument) compliments the voice, together in glorious harmony that invite the listeners/participants to outward, God-centered praise. In contrast to the sensual inward selfish entertainment music that has taken over many SDA churches, where the worldly music with pronounced syncopated beats created by drums and bass guitars invite the parishioners to dance vigorously as in a carnival.
Great sermon. I wish you would have included how SDA believers are Luke warm in keeping the Sabbath. I tried to explain to my SDA friends that attending a funeral or wedding is NOT honoring the Sabbath. Can you have a sermon on keeping the Sabbath? Thank you

My name is david. Chinese. Living in southern california. Not very faithful in keeping the sabbath right now. There is no hope and future in being friends or associating too closely with unbelievers. The adventist church is absolutely the true church. Would like prayer. Want mom to continue in prayer and be introduced to bible. None of family members have ever read bible.
I will pray for you and your family. 😊 Just try to remember that when you keep the Sabbath you have more peace of mind because God is getting the honor He deserves. If you want your family to read the Bible/become Christians the best way to do that is prayer of course, but also having them see you genuinely live out the Christian life, seeing your devotion to God. I'm not saying you won't make mistakes, we all do, but that's just opportunity for God to get our attention and show us the right way forward.
Save me Father from self-delusional thinking. Help me have the courage to look at myself and see what others see. Give me the strength to make the changes and guidance to do your will.

I'm confused about how somebody worth TEN MILLION DOLLARS can be a believer of the Holy Bible, which tells us rich people never go to heaven, and that we are supposed to give away anything extra we have to help the poor....? Every Adventist Pastor I have heard preach on Laodicea attempts to insert the word, "IF",into Revelation 3:16, but it is just not there!!! In so doing they conveniently avoid having to explain a most somber prophecy to their congregation.
That prophecy being: Laodicea is NOT the ship that goes through at the end of time, but rather those who open the door to Jesus in Revelation 3:20: i e. the 144,000

In the scriptures, the Lord said, thou shall not make any graven image not in heaven or on earth, so why there, is a graven image of a so called Jesus is in your Church? In this age no one knows what Jesus looks like. I don't understand why that image is in the church. Brethren let us practice what we preach in Jesus name. He is coming soon
If anyone chooses to do God’s will he will ask the Father if his teachings were spoken through Jesus. John 7:17 Jesus said, Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the sabbath. Matthew 24:20 I tell you the truth if anyone hears and believes him who sent Jesus has eternal life and will not be condemned he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Blessed is he who does not stand in the counsel of men but delights in the word of the Lord.
But Laodicea hasn't started yet. It can't until the Age of Philadelphia ends. All the 7 churches are that way. Each one cannot begin until the previous age had ended. Ephesus even did not begin until the Jewish dispensation had ended (34AD). Trace through the first 6 messages of the first 6 churches and you can see this. So obviously Laodicea cannot begin until Philadelphia ends. I'm not going to go through all 7 churches for the dates when each one began (that would just take too long) but the message to Philadelphia shows both when it started and when it will end: Rev. 3:7 is the introduction. The message actually begins in verse 8: "Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it." Any Adventist with knowledge can tell you this was 1844. Our church has its origins in the Millerite movement of the time. This coincides with the 1st angel's message of Rev. 14 which includes both the Investigative Judgement and the Seventh-Day Sabbath (14:7). Rev. 3:8 continues to say, "thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name." What is this "word"? Verse 10 says "thou hast kept the word of my patience" Didn't Jesus tell His disciples to go and spread the gospel message throughout the whole world, "and then the end shall come"? What else could this "word of my patience" be except our present-day truth? The teachings of the Investigative Judgement, 7th-Day Sabbath, true state of the dead, etc... What church on this earth could actually be the Philadelphia Church? Only one teaches all these things. Now when does Philadelphia end? Let's go back to verse 10, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." Look at it outside the box. Let's say Jesus is talking to someone else ABOUT Philadelphia. "Because they (the Philadelphians) have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep Philadelphia from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." This is when Philadelphia ends. When the last trial/test comes upon the entire world. Again, any Adventist with knowledge knows what this is. It is the upcoming Sunday laws. The last test to fall upon this world, who will be obedient to God's will and who will not. Once the Sunday laws are enforced in the USA (and spreads to the entire world) THEN will the Age of Philadelphia end. So will the SDA church as a government recognized religion. There is no other way to enforce Sunday laws without going against our constitutional rights, that "freedom of religion" clause has a loophole in it. Who gets to decide which religions are bona-fide, government recognized religions? Once it is decided that only those religions that keep Sunday are actual REAL religions then the Constitution will no longer apply to Sabbath keepers (or any non-Sunday keeper for that matter). The SDA church will cease to exist as a recognized denomination. The Age of Philadelphia will be over and THEN will Laodicea begin. How long does the Age of Laodicea last? Let's start off to say God has little good to say about Laodicea.... Only some advice (verses 18-19) and a promise (verses 20-21). But again, verse 10 shows the temptation/trial lasts for one hour. This is the Greek word ōra which can also mean "time" or "season" as well as "hour". It is quite possible this symbolic hour could be meant here which would be about 2 weeks of literal time. Anyway, I just wanted to point this out to folks. Many seem to be in error about when Laodicea will begin. I have even heard some Pastors say that SDAs are not Laodicea. In this they are right. But they also say Laodicea are all the OTHER churches (fallen churches) who have become lukewarm. Sorry this is incorrect. ALL 7 of the messages are for God's 7 churches/7 Ages of the Christian Dispensation. (Edited for spelling and a little in content)

@@davidstarr6604 I was shown that the testimony to the Laodiceans applies to God's people at the present time, and the reason it has not accomplished a greater work is because of the hardness of their hearts. But God has given the message time to do its work. The heart must be purified from sins which have so long shut out Jesus. This fearful message will do its work. When it was first presented, it led to close examination of heart. Sins were confessed, and the people of God were stirred everywhere. Nearly all believed that this message would end in the loud cry of the third angel. But as they failed to see the powerful work accomplished in a short time, many lost the effect of the message. I saw that this message would not accomplish its work in a few short months. It is designed to arouse the people of God, to discover to them their backslidings, and to lead to zealous repentance, that they may be favored with the presence of Jesus, and be fitted for the loud cry of the third angel. As this message affected the heart, it led to deep humility before God. Angels were sent in every direction to prepare unbelieving hearts for the truth. The cause of God began to rise, and His people were acquainted with their position. If the counsel of the True Witness had been fully heeded, God would have wrought for His people in greater power. Yet the efforts made since the message has been given, have been blessed of God, and many souls have been brought from error and darkness to rejoice in the truth. I have a separate View of Laodicea it was along side of volcano and soldiers wounded would go their to soothe their wounds and the ice capped mountains wound fresh water to refresh the wounded and the political class would go their to relax because their job was so stressful so I see it i would that you were either soothing or refreshing but since your neither your useless to me.

Matt 24:30 is about HIS SIGN making ALL nations to MOURN SEEING HIS SIGN. &Because in Matt 24:30 is NOT about a SIGN OF HIS COMING this is why Matthew 24:30 can be fulfilled only together with Revelation 11:19 when the heavenly Temple will be open to be SEEN HIS SIGN which will make ALL nations to MOURN SEEING HIS SIGN. Whatever we will search in the whole Bible we can find only the next verses about HIS SIGN: Exodus 31:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a SIGN between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I AM the LORD that doth sanctify you. Exo 31:17 It is A SIGN between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was REFRESHED (in Genesis 2:1-3). Any other verse about HIS SIGN cannot exist in the Bible and this is why in Matthew 24:30 Rev 11:19 only making the seventh day SABBATH as highly visible can make ALL nations to MOURN SEEING THE SABBATH AS HIS SIGN. Using their moral Law of Climate change RESTING on SUNday they started already the ecumenical union of ALL religions of ALL nations to be united as SUNday worshippers so that as fulfilment of Matthew 24:30 Rev 11:19 ALL SUNday nations will MOURN seeing the seventh day Sabbath written inside the heavenly ark made in Rev 11:19 Matthew 24:30. Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was SEEN in His temple the ark OF HIS covenant : and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail,(Rev 15:5). The events mentioned in Rev 11:19 are mentioned also in Rev 16:17,18 about the day of His second coming on the seventh plague. &Because in Rev 11:19 for ALL nations will be made as highly visible the ark OF HIS covenant we must let’s Hebrews 9:4 to tell us what exist as covenant inside the ark. And He wrote upon the tables the words OF THE covenant, the ten commandments. Rev 11:19 make clearly that the ark is NOT the covenant even it is the ark OF HIS covenant. Exodus 34:28 make clearly that the 10 commandments are NOT the covenant even are the words OF THE covenant.... Then we can have only Exodus 31:16 making clearly what God gave us AS covenant: In the whole Bible we have only verses about the ark OF THE covenant(Hebrews 9:4) about the tables OF THE covenant(Hebrews 9:4 Deut 9:9) about the words OF THE covenant(34:28) about the blood OF THE covenant(Hebrews 10:29) about Jesus as Mediator OF THE covenant(Hebrews 12:24) and finally we can find only Exodus 31:16 saying about the Sabbath AS covenant. Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the SABBATH, to observe the SABBATH throughout their generations, AS a perpetual covenant. But the seventh day Sabbath is the mostly old covenant since was made in Genesis 2:1-3. The whole Christianity is talking about the OLD covenant(Exodus 31:16) as being abolished on the cross but Hebrews 8:13 is making clearly that the OLD covenant is still active: Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A NEW covenant, he hath made the FIRST OLD. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old IS READY TO vanish away. Hebrews 8:13 THE FIRST OLD covenant “IS READY” TO vanish away. Then WHEN WILL BE vanished away the OLD covenant which is the seventh day Sabbath(Exodus 31:16) ?. Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and FROM ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall all flesh come TO WORSHIP before Me, saith the LORD. In Exodus 31:16 the Sabbath was given AS covenant eternally, to continue now in Hebrews 8:13 until beginning with Isaiah 66:22 will continue in all eternity but not anymore AS covenant = AS convention = AS condition of salvation because AS being forever in Isaiah 66:22 cannot exist anymore anything AS covenant = AS condition of salvation. The seventh day Sabbath and the purpose of the Sabbath can be explained only by the teaching of the Sanctuary knowing the purpose of creation and salvation and knowing the Armageddon started in heaven against the Sanctuary (of course in any another topic).
How ironic that you should preach on Laodicea..for this is typical Adventism. You proclaim the gift of grace, yet you place yourselves under the curse of the law...

We can use technology to spread the gospel and sing praises to God. We can also reach out to shut-ins or the sick via phone or text. Jesus taught us how to keep the Sabbath holy. We are to avoid pharasaic behaviors and let live and mercy direct our Sabbath observance.
I am from Jamaica, grew up in the United church all my life but some how knew and had a concern about the Sabbath day. I started watching Amazing Facts and listening to Pastor Doug. It took me a few years but, I am now a baptised member in the Adventist faith and a feeling of being home. Thank you Pastor Dough for your amazing teaching of God's word which you share with truth, love and clarity.

There are many of we believers who do not have the funds to visit distance lands or to even travel to the oceans to go scuba diving. But we hold the hope that we shall dwell on this earth made new with Jesus. However, many of us do have the funds and our widows mite to help the missions in this world and those who desperately need the funds to spread the Gospel to those living in darkness and who are starving both spiritually and physically. May God help us all to make His work first and last in our daily lives. Let us always be aware of Satan's temptations in turning our minds away from the promised land.
So glad you spoke about dress in church.I can't believe what I've seen recently in some our North American Churches. The other "adornments" should also be spoken of. Some may not consider it "salvivic" but this liberal laodicean and disobedient shift is a sign of the leavening and shaking process.

Shabbat Shalom...I went to attend a certain church service, and after the service, a woman came to me as I stepped out the front door, and she introduced herself. She then started to witnessed to me about her son who is a Doctor, and how much money they have and so forth. Can you ever believe that? Shocker ! To be honest, sometimes, to me, church is a major turn-off. Only the Word of God can impress me, not wealth nor any earthly possessions.

THAT is what I call uplifting, worship music. The music (instrument) compliments the voice, together in glorious harmony that invite the listeners/participants to outward, God-centered praise. In contrast to the sensual inward selfish entertainment music that has taken over many SDA churches, where the worldly music with pronounced syncopated beats created by drums and bass guitars invite the parishioners to dance vigorously as in a carnival.

My name is david. Chinese. Living in southern california. Not very faithful in keeping the sabbath right now. There is no hope and future in being friends or associating too closely with unbelievers. The adventist church is absolutely the true church. Would like prayer. Want mom to continue in prayer and be introduced to bible. None of family members have ever read bible.
I will pray for you and your family. 😊 Just try to remember that when you keep the Sabbath you have more peace of mind because God is getting the honor He deserves. If you want your family to read the Bible/become Christians the best way to do that is prayer of course, but also having them see you genuinely live out the Christian life, seeing your devotion to God. I'm not saying you won't make mistakes, we all do, but that's just opportunity for God to get our attention and show us the right way forward.

I'm confused about how somebody worth TEN MILLION DOLLARS can be a believer of the Holy Bible, which tells us rich people never go to heaven, and that we are supposed to give away anything extra we have to help the poor....? Every Adventist Pastor I have heard preach on Laodicea attempts to insert the word, "IF",into Revelation 3:16, but it is just not there!!!

In the scriptures, the Lord said, thou shall not make any graven image not in heaven or on earth, so why there, is a graven image of a so called Jesus is in your Church? If anyone chooses to do God’s will he will ask the Father if his teachings were spoken through Jesus. John 7:17 Jesus said, Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the sabbath. Matthew 24:20 I tell you the truth if anyone hears and believes him who sent Jesus has eternal life and will not be condemned he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Blessed is he who does not stand in the counsel of men but delights in the word of the Lord.
But Laodicea hasn't started yet. It can't until the Age of Philadelphia ends. All the 7 churches are that way. Each one cannot begin until the previous age had ended. Ephesus even did not begin until the Jewish dispensation had ended (34AD). Trace through the first 6 messages of the first 6 churches and you can see this. So obviously Laodicea cannot begin until Philadelphia ends.
I'm not going to go through all 7 churches for the dates when each one began (that would just take too long) but the message to Philadelphia shows both when it started and when it will end:
Rev. 3:7 is the introduction. The message actually begins in verse 8: "Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it." Any Adventist with knowledge can tell you this was 1844. Our church has its origins in the Millerite movement of the time. This coincides with the 1st angel's message of Rev. 14 which includes both the Investigative Judgement and the Seventh-Day Sabbath (14:7). Rev. 3:8 continues to say, "thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name." What is this "word"? Verse 10 says "thou hast kept the word of my patience" Didn't Jesus tell His disciples to go and spread the gospel message throughout the whole world, "and then the end shall come"? What else could this "word of my patience" be except our present-day truth? The teachings of the Investigative Judgement, 7th-Day Sabbath, true state of the dead, etc... What church on this earth could actually be the Philadelphia Church? Only one teaches all these things.
Now when does Philadelphia end? Let's go back to verse 10, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." Look at it outside the box. Let's say Jesus is talking to someone else ABOUT Philadelphia. "Because they (the Philadelphians) have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep Philadelphia from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." This is when Philadelphia ends. When the last trial/test comes upon the entire world. Again, any Adventist with knowledge knows what this is. It is the upcoming Sunday laws. The last test to fall upon this world, who will be obedient to God's will and who will not. Once the Sunday laws are enforced in the USA (and spreads to the entire world) THEN will the Age of Philadelphia end. So will the SDA church as a government recognized religion. There is no other way to enforce Sunday laws without going against our constitutional rights, that "freedom of religion" clause has a loophole in it. Who gets to decide which religions are bona-fide, government recognized religions? Once it is decided that only those religions that keep Sunday are actual REAL religions then the Constitution will no longer apply to Sabbath keepers (or any non-Sunday keeper for that matter). The SDA church will cease to exist as a recognized denomination. The Age of Philadelphia will be over and THEN will Laodicea begin.
How long does the Age of Laodicea last? Let's start off to say God has little good to say about Laodicea.... Only some advice (verses 18-19) and a promise (verses 20-21). But again, verse 10 shows the temptation/trial lasts for one hour. This is the Greek word ōra which can also mean "time" or "season" as well as "hour". It is quite possible this symbolic hour could be meant here which would be about 2 weeks of literal time.
Anyway, I just wanted to point this out to folks. Many seem to be in error about when Laodicea will begin. I have even heard some Pastors say that SDAs are not Laodicea. In this they are right. But they also say Laodicea are all the OTHER churches (fallen churches) who have become lukewarm. Sorry this is incorrect. ALL 7 of the messages are for God's 7 churches/7 Ages of the Christian Dispensation.

@@davidstarr6604 I was shown that the testimony to the Laodiceans applies to God's people at the present time, and the reason it has not accomplished a greater work is because of the hardness of their hearts. But God has given the message time to do its work. The heart must be purified from sins which have so long shut out Jesus. This fearful message will do its work. When it was first presented, it led to close examination of heart. Sins were confessed, and the people of God were stirred everywhere. Nearly all believed that this message would end in the loud cry of the third angel. But as they failed to see the powerful work accomplished in a short time, many lost the effect of the message. I saw that this message would not accomplish its work in a few short months. It is designed to arouse the people of God, to discover to them their backslidings, and to lead to zealous repentance, that they may be favored with the presence of Jesus, and be fitted for the loud cry of the third angel. As this message affected the heart, it led to deep humility before God. Angels were sent in every direction to prepare unbelieving hearts for the truth. The cause of God began to rise, and His people were acquainted with their position. If the counsel of the True Witness had been fully heeded, God would have wrought for His people in greater power. Yet the efforts made since the message has been given, have been blessed of God, and many souls have been brought from error and darkness to rejoice in the truth. Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1 Page 186 Paragraph 1, 1868
I have a separate View of Laodicea it was along side of volcano and soldiers wounded would go their to soothe their wounds and the ice capped mountains wound fresh water to refresh the wounded and the political class would go their to relax because their job was so stressful so I see it i would that you were either soothing or refreshing but since your neither your useless to me.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear THE SIGN OF THE Son of man in heaven: and shall ALL the tribes of the earth MOURN, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matt 24:30 is about HIS SIGN making ALL nations to MOURN SEEING HIS SIGN.
&Because in Matt 24:30 is NOT about a SIGN OF HIS COMING this is why Matthew 24:30 can be fulfilled only together with Revelation 11:19 when the heavenly Temple will be open to be SEEN HIS SIGN which will make ALL nations to MOURN SEEING HIS SIGN.
Whatever we will search in the whole Bible we can find only the next verses about HIS SIGN:
Exodus 31:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a SIGN between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I AM the LORD that doth sanctify you.
Exo 31:17 It is A SIGN between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was REFRESHED (in Genesis 2:1-3).
Any other verse about HIS SIGN cannot exist in the Bible and this is why in Matthew 24:30 Rev 11:19 only making the seventh day SABBATH as highly visible can make ALL nations to MOURN SEEING THE SABBATH AS HIS SIGN.
Using their moral Law of Climate change RESTING on SUNday they started already the ecumenical union of ALL religions of ALL nations to be united as SUNday worshippers so that as fulfilment of Matthew 24:30 Rev 11:19 ALL SUNday nations will MOURN seeing the seventh day Sabbath written inside the heavenly ark made in Rev 11:19 Matthew 24:30.
Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was SEEN in His temple the ark OF HIS covenant : and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail,(Rev 15:5).
The events mentioned in Rev 11:19 are mentioned also in Rev 16:17,18 about the day of His second coming on the seventh plague.
&Because in Rev 11:19 for ALL nations will be made as highly visible the ark OF HIS covenant we must let’s Hebrews 9:4 to tell us what exist as covenant inside the ark.
Hebrews 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark OF THE covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables OF THE covenant;
Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And He wrote upon the tables the words OF THE covenant, the ten commandments.
Rev 11:19 make clearly that the ark is NOT the covenant even it is the ark OF HIS covenant.
Hebrews 9:4 make clearly that the two tables stones are NOT the covenant even are the tables OF THE covenant.
Exodus 34:28 make clearly that the 10 commandments are NOT the covenant even are the words OF THE covenant....
Then we can have only Exodus 31:16 making clearly what God gave us AS covenant:
In the whole Bible we have only verses about the ark OF THE covenant(Hebrews 9:4) about the tables OF THE covenant(Hebrews 9:4 Deut 9:9) about the words OF THE covenant(34:28) about the blood OF THE covenant(Hebrews 10:29) about Jesus as Mediator OF THE covenant(Hebrews 12:24) and finally we can find only Exodus 31:16 saying about the Sabbath AS covenant.
Exodus 31:16 is the only one verse in the Bible without having the words “OF THE”.....OF THE covenant.
Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the SABBATH, to observe the SABBATH throughout their generations, AS a perpetual covenant.
But the seventh day Sabbath is the mostly old covenant since was made in Genesis 2:1-3.
The whole Christianity is talking about the OLD covenant(Exodus 31:16) as being abolished on the cross but Hebrews 8:13 is making clearly that the OLD covenant is still active:
Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A NEW covenant, he hath made the FIRST OLD. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old IS READY TO vanish away.
Hebrews 8:13 THE FIRST OLD covenant “IS READY” TO vanish away.
Then WHEN WILL BE vanished away the OLD covenant which is the seventh day Sabbath(Exodus 31:16) ?.
Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and FROM ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall all flesh come TO WORSHIP before Me, saith the LORD.
In Exodus 31:16 the Sabbath was given AS covenant eternally, to continue now in Hebrews 8:13 until beginning with Isaiah 66:22 will continue in all eternity but not anymore AS covenant = AS convention = AS condition of salvation because AS being forever in Isaiah 66:22 cannot exist anymore anything AS covenant = AS condition of salvation.
The seventh day Sabbath and the purpose of the Sabbath can be explained only by the teaching of the Sanctuary knowing the purpose of creation and salvation and knowing the Armageddon started in heaven against the Sanctuary (of course in any another topic).
