Logic is essentially the theorems and axioms upon which math is based. It also allows you to essentially translate sentences into proofs and solve for their validity. It's awesome.

I want to be part of Failure Management too. I laughed too hard at this because, as someone who comes from a super traditional Chinese family, a lot of my cousins and uncles/aunties are like that! In fact, it's a common 'joke' to call each other "Doctorney" (doctor + attorney) during family reunions.
I'm following in their footsteps too. I took Civil Engineering in college and recently just graduated from law school. My parents convinced me to enroll in med school this year. I'm actually enjoying it, as I always loved handling Legal Medicine and Malpractice cases!

The report card @ 5:50 is from a 7th grader (middle school tends to break their years into thirds, as opposed to elementary, high schools and colleges which tend to operate on quarters and semesters). Confusing, true. One teacher explained it as trying to teach kids a small amount of change in life so they'd be used to unexpected changes later on and be able to cope better.
Also, Steven I obviously am a failure... As I hadn't known you were hiring 😅(wouldn't have done me much good anyway though as you're looking for someone in LA and I'm up near Canada). Keep up the videos and we'll keep watching!
Yeah, I feel like middle school is just a weird testing ground for the most idiotic educational practices people can think about, so many of them have such arbitrary rules, organization and standards that won't prepare students for life the way the schools seem to think they will 😂

@@multiversalrevan actually what this youth has isn't too different from what we had nearly 20 years ago, they just changed shop class to "engineering."
My high school operated on trimesters. All the surrounding high schools used quarters or semesters (mostly semesters). My district was just consistent about trimesters from K-12.
The logic was in part that they liked the schedule better for how it fit around holidays/breaks. There was also something about number of classes taken in a year vs how long we got to spend in each class per day too (longer class periods = shorter terms; was more helpful for teachers and allowed them more time to address topics instead of having to split it two days at some awkward "middle" point). There was likely more, but those are the two I can still remember. (It's been awhile since I graduated.)

Logic would be coding or creating flow charts. I took Aeronautics science in 10th grade back in 1980 something. We also switched to Trimesters the next year.

Logic class means studying logical argument structure, logical fallacies, etc. It's something I wish had been taught in my middle/high school (the one I went to was small af so I barely got a unit on logical argument structure attached to my English class as part of grammar studies).
