Very clean playing all around. Very, very nice. Also, I know it can get monotonous for this sort of group playing the same songs for the hundredth, even the thousandth time. I always try to remember that there are always some in the audience for which hearing this music is a BIG and very special deal. And that's who you are connecting with even if you don't realize it.
Saw MSO last night at the Phoenix Theatre in Blyth. This always makes me feel emotional but seeing it live was just fantastic. The whole show was an event not to be missed . The place was packed the atmosphere was electric. Long live live music
@AndréBoudet Merci pour votre commentaire. Je vais le partager avec le chef du groupe. Beaucoup d'appréciation. J'espère que j'ai dit cela correctement 😊
This reed section in particular sounds better than most of the bands I've ever heard play this chart and the tempo is right where it should be. Great job!
@@nocturnalmusiclover1530 I had my own big band in Ny for 40 years so i think i know a little about this music lol Kevin has an excellent band ! Thank you!
@@nocturnalmusiclover1530 Al Biondi orchestra. You won't find the band on youtube i did all private affairs from 1976 to 2016 and wasn't able to record much of any good audio visual quality. I wish i had but never thought about it, we just ran from one gig to the next doing the most one nighters around 1980 187 dates! it was crazy busy! You may find some of my students on youtube playing some of my 'jazz duets by Al Biondi' i had published by the Mel Bay company for a variety of instruments in 1999 and then in 2005. I play sax and clarinet and have a very busy teaching business nowadays. One of the things i strongly urge my students to do is listen, listen and listen! When it comes to playing big band era swing music, the notes on the paper are only half the story. To recreate the sounds and the solos you've got to study them over and again. I'm sure you know exactly what i mean. I think i'm on youtube playing a few tunes with a student of mine from about 15 yrs ago. If you look up mitchel revich you may find us playing and you can hear me a little bit. 'it don't mean a thing" is one of them i remember in particular. I don't have the technical skills to put clips on youtube, i wish i did. take care, thanks. Al

This is the music I heard from birth, through high school & college. My son swears he dislikes big band/orchestra with a passion. He listens to garbage, but if pressed he'll admit liking broadway--Cats, Les Miz, Phantom, because that's what he heard from birth .
Wow! Love horn bands. They are so melodic. That is Music….. you can hum the tune, modern music is not melodic, you can’t hum rap nor techno music. It is a poor excuse for even poetry.
