I guess you haven't heard much good trombone then. It seems she's closer to the god of music, Satan than she is the true, holy God.
I know, you hypocrites are going to ask, "How do you know her heart?" I don't, but God does, and He gives us clues in the Bible; one of which is:
_What communion hath light with darkness?_ (2 Corinthians 6:14)
      and,
_Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord._ (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Jazz is the glorification of talent, and does nothing for the words, which are the message of the song. Guaranteed she does not have a close walk with God,
_Can two walk together except they be agreed?_ (Nahum 1:3)
      The answer is NO.
_Isaiah 47:1-3 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate._
_2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, _*_uncover the thigh,_*_ pass over the rivers._
_3 _*_Thy nakedness shall be uncovered,_*_ yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man._
She doesn't dress like someone who is close to the Lord.
Jazz derived from people who sang or played from the depths of their souls from a spiritual lomging; and their interpretation was very personal. Then it got commercialized, and is now an abomination because "improving" or expanding the style became the goal, rather than expressing the spiritual, holy desires of the soul.
Sad to see. I like mild jazz, for the sake of expression what can't be expressed with words, but when it becomes too much about the music and skill, it wanders into fleshly, worldliness that God hates.
Death and judgment will come to us all, so I had to provide this warning and alert. Wake up!

I've come back here I don't know how many times. I've listened with the video off. I listen to everything from jazz, hillbilly, redneck rock, classical virtuosity... I get about. I listen to a lot. This is THE ONE. She's got it from the first bar and she knows it and they all know it I think. This is the greatest piece ever. The way she blows that horn just blows the world away... just blows the world away.....

Zenon Rypan. -- She amazes not only you and me, SHE does the whole Jazz world. She plays this famous melody at the same time in two styles: in blues -- highly romantic performance!!!, and then -- in the rush modern Dixieland style!!! I see her as the "Queen of Jazz" of the 21st century.

Listening to this I came to the realization that jazz and blues get far more out of horns and woodwinds then straight up classical orchestras can ever achieve. I'm not dissing highly professional musicians. It's just a matter of classical and pop music utilizing only a fraction of the instruments expressive voice.

Carling family is simply fantastic! I love all their videns, even with the rough edges. It's a shame they remain unknown in the US. They should get a spot in a feature film !

Es wurde hier schon oft gesagt, aber ich glaube man kann es immer wieder sagen. Was Frau Carling macht ist das Beste, was es gegenwärtig in dieser Art von Musik gibt.

freak, maybe the best trombonist ever. So very expressive and I listen to this genre of music all the time: from the earliest recordings until today.

beautiful sound Gunhild, i wonder if people watching live or on youtube realize they're seeing quite possible the world's best trombone player, playing in what's already known as the best dixyland, jazz band ever put together. Mr Carling, hats off, looking very well today.
