I know you didn't plan it this way, but it is actually helpful for others to realize it's ok if you don't get it canned right at harvest time. Not completely ideal, but yes, it is 100% ok to freeze it and get to it when life allows ( or if you just end up using it frozen...all good ) ❤ Sending you love and prayers our sweet Jamerrill ❤😊

I end up doing it with tomatoes every year. I have a small garden but canning season / harvest season is a busy busy time ... and school starting and all 5 of our family birthdays are amongst all of it so it gets hectic in the fall. So I freeze fruit and stuff all the time and then can it at a later date. It also kind of helps with knowing how much I have before any of it goes bad before we use it.

I really love the contrast of the Mustard Door and Sea Salt walls. ❤ The finishing touch of the windows, it all looks so fresh and clean.
I am new to following you and have binged watched your episodes the past two weeks while I recover. I also ordered your big batch recipes. While husband and I are empty nesters, I will be sharing 8x8 freezer meals with my elderly neighbors, inlaws and my daughter, who is a busy, busy RN. I can not wait to share the love once I am back on my feet! Thank you!

I love Sea Salt. When my Mom moved with us we gave her the guest room as it shares the hall bath. In addition we repurposed a spare bedroom & turned it into her sitting room. We painted it Sea Salt, added the furniture pieces, art, & lamps from her apartment, her TV, & a mini fridge. It was a perfect solution so she’d have her own space when she wanted it & she enjoyed it for 7 years before she passed away at 95. I knew she wouldn’t want to watch as much football as my husband, or cartoons when we had our Granddaughter. It’s been 7 years & I’ve never gotten tired of that color.

Both of my bathrooms are painted seasalt two years ago. In fact this year I’m going to paint my upstairs bathroom ceiling seasalt because I live in an old farmhouse and it’s a slanted ceiling with a noticeable flaw. Did my heart good to see you canning and smiling 😊 God Bless you and your family. ❤

I’m 72 and I’m not going to run but I’m trying to get into doing some heavy duty walking. I had a complete hip replacement on my right hip and I’m getting back into the swing of things. I gained right much weight until I had my surgery. I just want to feel better besides looking better.

So thankful you are back to canning. I love your beautiful home. I really like the colors you chose inside and out. I am not a big mustard yellow fan, but they look wonderful with the navy blue. Blue, being my favorite color, all shades are my favorite, I really think the color of your house is perfect. I used to can a lot of jams and butters. But, being on oxygen slowed that down. I’m getting into sourdough bread products. Excited about that. We can use it personally; but, plan on giving it away too.

I love ur new paint color in ur kitchen, it's beautiful...when I moved in my home, the kitchen was pained a yellow that's very similar to ur doors, and I grew to love it and it matched alot of my decorations (farm, roosters and chickens) ..those mustard doors at ur home are soo pretty! ❤

I so love seeing you getting your old ‘groove’ back friend! Since you share so much with us, here’s my canning tip for you and hopefully you’ll find it helpful; before I start filling my jars I set up my canning ‘station’. Whatever works best for you, but for myself I have a cereal bowl to set my messy funnel in, a dinner plate for dirty utensils, my vinegar bowl (that later gets dumped into my canner), spare paper towels and all my tools set out before I start. Then I have my jars filled with hot kettle water and lids in a small pot beside me so I have very minimal wear on my feet. Sorry that was so long! I just LOVE how helpful you are and wish I could do more for you! Xoxo

I was wondering about your window sills and paint freshening up.I love the color. I love the sills. All those "little touches" you wanted completed makes a huge difference. Canning??? I haven't tried it. I would like too. We are surrounded with lots of wonderful fruit. 🍎🫐🍑🍒🍓🍏🍅
Keep up your running and walking.🚶‍♀️ You look wonderful. Feel better? Good for you.

I grew up in a little house with a metal roof over the front porch. Rain on a metal roof puts me into the best and deepest sleep! I just kept getting so sleepy while watching and once you said that about the rain I knew why! LOL Congrats on getting back to canning. I like to wait to can in winter for anything that can hold until then!

I'm really late watching this, but I wanted to suggest that you place your funnel into the next jar as you are cleaning up the current jar. That way the mess drips into the jar you will be putting jam into next instead of all over your work space and you waste far less jam. It is also there if you need to scoop out a bit of jam from your current jar instead of throwing it back in the pot. Then when your final jar is done, you can just put the funnel back in the pot and take it over to the sink. You will still have a few spots of jam here and there on the work space, but it will be far less.

Wow, you look gorgeous! You have been an inspiration for years for me, in the last 9 months I had two chemical pregnancies and gained 20 pounds, what have you been doing?! i’m 41 and have always been petite but, i’m not anymore. I need to feel healthy and , loosing at least 10 pounds would be so amazing, mostly in my tummy. Core strength, can you share what you been doing?

I made grape juice for the first time. I used my new steam juicer. Wow! It was great. Also love the first top! I would have had cherry juice staining all over me! I can't believe you did all that and no apron! Good job!!

I really like the sea salt. It’s a very neutral off-white like bisque . I don’t really see undertones and I like that. You have a lot going on in your kitchen and you probably don’t need a lot of extra visual impacts beyond that with you choose at any given time of the year. One good thing about nitro is whenever you decide to change your style. Anything will go with it whether you’re going with a crazy plaid, or a pretty floral, or a delicate tracing. No clashing.
I think making jam is so satisfying because everybody likes it and it looks pretty and well. It can be a bit time-consuming when you’re doing a big bunch of it it’s time well spent.

You look amazing Jameril. I would have made some pie filling with those cherries😊 the grapes can also be freeze dried, makes a sweet snack. Juice works just as well. Grape jam is nice. Done the purple grapes but not tried green grapes as yet myself. I love to see the different things to do with food.

My Mamaw canned homemade grape juice. I remember it was wonderful. Unfortunately it was not a recipe written down and she took it with her when she passed. I can still see the jars with a smattering of grapes in the bottom with the beautiful juice. I hope you find a recipe you love!

I have finished my summer/fall canning the following year the last couple of years. It is usually tomatoes from the fall when I just can't take seeing another tomato. They are always ready after we've started homeschooling for the year.
