After doing van life for two years in a minivan, I agree 100% with having an “INDOOR” kitchen! So you can cook when it’s raining, in dust storms, high winds, snow, while stealthing, and when flying insects are intolerable. I’ve run into ALL of these scenarios but was always able to cook. I can actually cook from the inside OR the outside.
Let’s not forget that if you’re living in a car, it’s because you’re on a tight budget and eating out daily for every meal of the day can become extremely expensive.

I love everything about this…if i were to build out a mini, I would do very similarly. I like how you did the bed/mattress right on the floor to allow more head room and to actually have a sofa during the day…so smart and utilizing every space for very specific things, and not going overboard on decorations that have no purpose (but making it cozy by the fabric you used and the wood accents) and no clutter. You made a very nice camper van! Enjoy the journey!

For me.. with a van a little bigger then this one would be puuurfect for me and my girl for a 1 or 2 week minimalistic trip. The colorful material used is delightful to view daily, and loved the walls and flooring, actually loved everything about this minimal van living lifestyle. Super clean with zero cluttering.
I love the clean look as well as the corner kitchen area. I am curious how they do without a emergency toilet set up. That would be a must-have for me. Also, there are pros and cons to a convertible bed. Nice to have it as a couch by day. Some people may not want to completely make the bed every night.
Finally a van converted into something I might able to accomplish both financially and physically. All those fancy ones is out of my budget. Thank you for showing me it’s possible to travel economically 👍

I am planning on building out vehicle campers for both my boys who are 13 & 15 now. I want to launch them in life in the most self sufficient way possible, and this seems like a great option that helps to prevent them from being loaded with debt and burdensome rents. I love this build. And will use it for inspiration! 👍👏👍

This is amazing! One thing I'll add is probably a portable toilet. And cover it up to make it as a stool so can cook or wash dishes inside more comfortably whilst sitting down. Or perhaps a foldable stool
Having something to use as a toilet in case of emergency does seem necessary, but a full fixed toilet you may use a few times a week seems a pretty steep sacrifice of valuable space. I will say, there are many annoying noisemakers and excess weight that I would eliminate immediately: the chains for the table, those mason jars banging around. Put the heavy stuff over the axles.

Neatest, most spacious tiny van build ever! These tiny vans tend to get very cramped inside, but you've retained so much space by having a "free-floating" bed and no fixed counter along the side wall. The only improvement I would make is to add some kind of non-slip surface to the bottoms of the mattresses, so they're less likely to run around while you're moving around on them! Edit: Oh, I just noticed you used an antique picture frame as a window frame! That is one of the prettiest and most genius things I've ever seen!

Excellent! - I have a regular, full size Chevy Express van that I also did a minimalist conversion to. The only major features are a regular, single-size bed, a solar panel, curtains and a roof fan/vent. I've been wanting to rebuild because the bed takes up so much room and friends don't feel comfortable. The simple sofa/bed arrangement is a great solution! Combined with an exchange for a passenger seat that swivels around, it should dramatically improve the guest experience.

This is wonderful! I saw your first build and thought it was lovely, but the outdoor kitchen doesn't work for me as I plan to do a lot of traveling to urban areas. This new floorplan is perfect and still so roomy.

Your redo is absolutley fantastic! I love the simpliicity, yet highly functional and warm look. This is one of the best I've seen in a while. I enjoy watching what many Van life and car life RUclipsrs have done to their home on wheels, but there is something to be said about really only taking what you need and nothing more. Nice use of space, smart build here. Clean and neat. I like it. A real tiny home on wheels. I thought there'd be a TV underneath what turned out to be a table. Most times, I eat with my plate in my lap, but the table is useful and out of the way.

Extremely well done. On a par with Joseph's on Sharing The Wild. Amazing what you can do with a minivan. I was sorely tempted to use my Mazda MPV minivan. I decided no though because it was just too small for permanent living space. I am too old to be groveling around on the floor doing the Japanese tea ceremony. I do miss that minivan though.

I just found u & subbed. I hope to watch the 6,000 miles u traveled in Sept & catch up to date. I want to see how u manage in ur minivan with the raised floor. I’m not sure I could do that with my knees. I’ve never been able to kneel on a hard surface even when young. I also wanted to suggest using packing cubes for clothing. You can stack or roll your clothes. Have a cube for each- tops, pants, shorts- keeping each category separate… don’t forget undies & socks ones. Easy to pull out of ur storage place & put back & keeps clothes less wrinkled. I also bought pillow shams & stuffed my winter coats in them & use for lounging. Good luck & safe travels. I decided no though because it was just too small for permanent living space. I am too old to be groveling around on the floor doing the Japanese tea ceremony. I do miss that minivan though.

My husband and I just LOVE your build videos!! We are new to 'van life' and have found your latest floorplan very user friendly. Just wow! I have seen a lot of van tours. This van is amazing, so cosy and intelligend made. I love the red flower pattern on the cushions. And the woodcolour. And the storage solution is great. Wonderful. Greetings from Germany. Jesus is coming soon.

Excelente projeto! As caixas no piso, economizam espaço mantendo uma boa área de armazenamento. A cozinha que pode ser usada interna ou externa traz mobilidade! O sofá cama é confortável e muito funcional tbm, nem parece que é uma mini Van. E a incrível organização clean, sem acúmulo de objetos aparenta um bem-estar! Parabéns, Deus abençoe, com muitos lugares lindos para passear e saúde para desfrutar!

I just found u & subbed. I hope to watch the 6,000 miles u traveled in Sept & catch up to date. I want to see how u manage in ur minivan with the raised floor. I’m not sure I could do that with my knees. I’ve never been able to kneel on a hard surface even when young. I also wanted to suggest using packing cubes for clothing. You can stack or roll your clothes. Have a cube for each- tops, pants, shorts- keeping each category separate… don’t forget undies & socks ones. Easy to pull out of ur storage place & put back & keeps clothes less wrinkled. I also bought pillow shams & stuffed my winter coats in them & use for lounging. Good luck & safe travels.
