    An important tip: never use a torque wrench as a breaker bar. You'll throw off the calibration and will have to have it recalibrated. Use a actual breaker bar instead.

    Fantastic video! Very thorough. Only thing that would make it better would be torque specs on all the fasteners. Much appreciated!

      He uses the maximum torque provided by the impact wrench. Oddly enough, he uses a torque wrench as a breaker bar.

    Dampening is like adding water, damping is adjusting a shock...I installed KW v3 coilovers on my S2000 back in 2004, transformed the car.

    Pro tip: An easier way to get the front strut out of the steering knuckle is to buy a BMW spindle housing spreader socket. They're like $25, and no pry bar or second set of hands needed.

    Thank you for such a detail install video. Do you happen to know the torque specs for the front? Specifically the front; lower link to knuckle, endlink, and the strut spindle collar. Id appreciate any help!

    If it rides similar to stock why would you get rid of the magnetic suspension components? Wouldn’t springs have been a better option here?

    • @Speedindustry
      @Speedindustry  4 года назад +2

      Spring will not get you as low - We wanted the adjustability, These will actually perform better than stock when driving the car harder.

    Where exactly did you mount the 2 jacks on the fronts?

    • @Speedindustry

      There is a frame rail on the inside about a foot and a half ish from the jack point. i lift from the front to lift the whole car, I will try and remember to pit it out on the next video we have it in the air. Thanks for watching! Make sure you subscribe and ring the bell!

    I can't for the life of me get the assembly down low enough to take the strut out. How much force can I push down on the assembly before potentially damaging something? I already loosened the swaybar endlink and removed the tie rod.

      Yea - this is a lot of work, i am sure by now you have it figured out.

      @Speedindustry I did! I eventually just took the whole assembly apart. The rears were SIGNIFICANTLY easier to work on. Installed HKS Hipermax R coilovers successfully. Tip to anyone reading this in the future, it's highly recommended when you start to tighten all of the bolts back up for the endlinks, arms, etc.... that your suspension in totality is as leveled as you can make it. Use a jack to help you do this without a wheel on.

    do you recommended this model or the kw v3 DDC one? i wanna keep the oem button and its function. but seems like you can only use two settings on it either comfort or sport.

    • @Speedindustry
      @Speedindustry  4 года назад

      We talked to Kw at sema they stated they were not going to do the ddc but looking on their site they do show it shipping, So we can get in contact with kw about them if thats what you are looking for. The ddc would retain the factory modes so to get this going faster for you please email us help@speedindustry.com I will talk to our guys give them a heads up you are contacting us and we will get you what you need! thanks so much for the comment and we will talk to you really soon!

    so the helper spring in the rear is supposed to be on the top or bottom???? because when you were explaining it was at the bottom, then in the next frame when getting the shock in, the helper spring was at the top??????

  • @TheHexagonCZServer

    Watching someone use a torque wrench to break bolts free is excruciating. Then the irony of using a torque wrench for everything, but then just using ugga-duggas when assembling and not taking a moment to add the torque specs in the video.
