I honestly think, and I know this may be cheesy, that the final battle will once again be in the vestige world with Deku searching for Tenko. Deku will find the crying child Tenko who no one helped & he will show up as a child & offer his hand to help mirroring when AFO "saved" Shigaraki & also when Deku offered his hand to Bakugo when they were kids.
I don't know if Shigaraki will accept help but I would love a scene like this.
I think it's foreshadowing his innocence, naivete, and immaturity. In the future, once he's developed further he will manifest as an adult

I really like that Deku basically said " I will do everything in my power to save Shigaraki but I also recognize there's a possibility I may have to stop him by killing him" I like that even though Deku is all about saving everyone, he still recognizes that he may have to take Shigaraki's life and is willing to do so if it's only to save people, not just killing for the sake of it but taking a life so that others may be preserved. I love heroes that are unwavering in their ideals but are not blind to the world and are willing to sacrifice those ideals once in a lifetime to save innocents, after all that's what I consider a true hero.

Pretty sure it's how deku seemed unfit and unsure about his handle on OFA and how All Might was able to use it off the bat at it's full potential, whereas deku has a small percentage to work with. Also how he doubted himself with mirio and how he "failed" to save nighteye.

*I'm actually liking this development for Deku's character* (maybe more than most) *because it has the nuance I was looking for about him at least recognizing killing as a possibility*
The thing is that people assumed that Deku will deny he will have to kill Shiggy no matter what (like Deku said, "I'll save him, no matter what" in typical idealistic MC fashion). But he doesn't do that at all to me. When he says that 'OFA is the power to save, not to kill', he is saying that with the intent to use this power is to save others through and through. So for example in the war, when he was smashing Shiggy with what seems like lethal force, his intent was not to kill him for the sake of killing him, but the intent of that which he is able to do what it takes to save people in danger if he had to (which means I don't think he would back away from taking him out if he had no choice, as the last resort).
In the chapter, he doesn't deny that he might have to kill as a possibility (which is the nuance I was looking for since it may seem too naive to not at least recognize that at all) but he wants to try saving him first, if he can. He even acknowledges that he doesn't have the logistics thought out, but it's just something he feels he wants to try. So I see nothing wrong with this development for him as it fits with his character to try to save, since he also acknowledges that killing him is still a possibility as well (also 'saving' him does not mean a full on redemption or that he will go unpunished for his actions; and Deku still said before in ch 295 he could not forgive the acts Shiggy did).

Hey I just realized that Both Nana and Endeavor were responsible for the creation of 2 of the most violent villains ever Shigaraki and Dabi
Although Nana’s actions were because she was really worried for the safety of her family she failed because she didn’t gave a reason on why her son was put for adoption
And,in the other hand Endeavor’s actions were disgusting because he at one point he only thought in his obsession of beating All Might, he was so negligent over his son Toya that let to the creation of Dabi
Well to be fair for Nana, she was already dead when Tenko killed his entire family by accident

Endeavor was trying to make sure toya stopped trying to be a hero because of how dangerous his quirk was and also it wasn’t just endeavors fault almost everyone in the todoroki family has fault.
When you really think about it one for all really is a power to save.
Black whip= non violent capture of villains
Float= reach any location to help high or low, and get people to safety
Danger sense= self explanatory
Super strength and speed= to bear the brunt of society’s worst and always be the first to arrive when trouble comes
The quirk isn’t meant to be violent like bakuguo’s explosion, but can still be so when needed. Thus deku is the ideal wielder, dude’s first thought is to keep the people safe, but knows when to throw hands. He maybe a little naive to some but he’s definitely idealistic, and that positivity will be need to fix society.

I absolutely adore Deku.
People have this image of him as such a crybaby - and when Nana Shimura asked that question I half expected Deku to shake and cry and eventually come to a resolve.
But Deku was bold and gave the best resolve right then and there. And even though it would seem naive, he didn't rule out the possibility of killing him - and I adore him for that. It just shows that he's not some naive hero, he's pure at heart, and also very mature.
Time and time again we see why Deku IS the best possible user of the current OFA. Really love his growth.
I'm calling it. DEKU will remove Shigaraki and Everyones Quirk. Like avatar. Cause of singularity effect on humans. Quirk must be erased or .. extinction.

I was thinking the same thing. I think Deku might be outed as the next piece of hope for hero society and he will singlehandedly give the people hope. Entering year 2 of school, Deku will be hunted by villains all the time, and I think even new forms of villains, such as corrupt politicians looking to influence him to get what they want and celebrities hoping to be in his image to influence the world the way they want to. So much can come from this and it gets me so excited

NGL when I saw Deku say "But I never had the opportunity to explore their motivations and pinpoint why exactly they became villians. If I understood them fully...some things may have gone differently." that made me really happy.
As for the two users not showing their faces, the reason is that they have not acknowledged deku as the successor of OFA, it was made clear in one of the translations but the translation of this chapter was a bit off so we didn't see that

The reason Tomura is able to even attempt to take ofa is because his hatred his sheer hatred for ofa and the hero society this is interesting because it opens up the possibility that afo is not inherintly evil he doesn't hate the users or ofa enough to take it,I theorize that his quirk may be the thing making him evil kinda like togas fascination with blood his quirk is meant to take away which is why he breed Tomura to take it away he has no reason to hate the users to the point of being able to take it you could argue that AFO does have the hatred to do it himself but he wasn't the resurrected by the sheer lust for destruction and death like Tomura

That but they also explained that the users of OFA had a strong will which allowed to avoid having their quirks stolen by AFO when they were alive and since deku doesnt have that strong of a will like them it gave shiggy the opening to try and steal it.

I don't like the Idea of "the quirk makes them inherent evil"!
I prefer to interprete as: they give them certain urges to use their quirks. But BnHA society still prone to mistakes when dealing with some cases.
For Toga, it gives her a fascination with blood. She could've not gone this path if someone helped to satisfy those urges in a safer manner. Instead of simply suppressing it.
For Shigaraki, he seem to have a fascination with destruction, and his quirk manifested when he was mentally unstable. All AFO had to do was push him the way he wanted to. And it really helped that after he killed his family, no one extended a hand to him.
Even Touya seem to have signs of mistakes on dealing with his desires, that may or may not be fueled (in part) by the urge of using his quirk.

So, AFO broke out a lot of prisons right? Well it’s not that big of a leap to say gentle was in one of them right? And, he was put into some sort of re-habilitation. He has a really useful and powerful quirk, and if la brava was there too, it could be a huge help in the fight. Especially considering La brava noted that she admires deku, imagine if her quirk evolved to mere admiration? I think the duo has potential and after seeing there faces again, it could mean something, not to mention gentle Was the first villain that deku actually understood, can you see the parallels? I don’t know if it will happen, but with stain returned, it’s not completely out if the question.

Edit. Can I just say that I'm very proud of Deku for sticking to his morals and trying to save everyone without thinking to kill them first. He really has changed a lot of live and saved many people. I really do hope he is able to save Shigaraki. Second its truly amazing the story line. I love the work an I hope this is a story that lasts a while because we all need a hero like Deku and Red Riot to show us that it's now just about being the best but about the hard ships and caring and giving your all when you feel you have nothing to give.

It's because people see the series for what they want to see, they want to see the cool factor.... they want him to be 'raw' or edgy since it seems cooler. But they do not see the story for what it is as a HERO story. Deku didn't deny he might have to kill him, but he want to try to save him first, if he can. Wouldn't seem in character for him to go straight for killing like that, but if he has to save others from Shigaraki, he can take him out.
I think that the test was about making sure that Deku couldn't have OfA stolen, that his will was solid, and that he could truly carry on the iron will that comes with the power. I solidly think that the time travel theory is out the window, kind of happy about that because time travel is messy and typically used as an "I wrote myself into a corner" kind of thing, and I have a lot of respect for Horikoshi's writing ability. The plot threads he leaves dangling eventually always interweave back into the story, making it predictable, but only if you pay attention to the proper signals. It's possible that if the time travel is possible, which I don't think it is because Deku wouldn't allow his friends to just go off to their deaths just so he can be a hero, that it's only Bakugo. #3 doesn't even remotely resemble Kirishima in any way at this point, however, #1 died in combat and most likely picked people based on their personalities and dedication on top of their quirks being epic. It's also likely that successors were chosen so that it would end up with a nice balance in abilities that would heavily counter the seeming "randomness" of AfO; Danger Sense can keep Deku from taking a hit, Black Whip is a range based capture tool, and Float covers going airborne. He wouldn't really need harden or explosion.
I agree. The fact that Deku showed that he was willing to stick to his ideals but also do whatever it takes to save the innocent, and not just give into the easy way of killing Shigaraki immediately, shows that he has a strong will. People have been saying that Deku has a weak will which puts OFA but I disagree. I mean one of the reasons All Might chose him was because he had willpower and dedication, and the fact that Deku held onto his dream for so long also shows his willpower. I think a strong will is one of his defining characteristics, tbh

Honestly, seeing Little Izuku walking towards Little Tenko, was one of the most emotional panels I've seen in this series. The fact that Deku can see a vulnerable, crying child behind such a dangerous individual shows how worthy he is to become the Greatest Hero; he is beginning to see behind the actions and towards the reasons why the villains are the way they are. While he can't condone their actions, he can understand them and try to help the villains find another way.

Imagine if it turns out Deku's mother is Shigaraki's older sister, and that she never really died in the incident? That would be one hell of a plot twist.
i think its good that Deku really wants to save Tenko because he recognized Tenko as person. And even better, he does not deny that he might have to kill Tenko, but at the very least he wants to try to save him first. It's the sentiment that matters.
Its better than just a shounen protagonist be optimistic just for the sake of being optimistic, its a breath of fresh air. He wants to do everything he can to save people, but he is intelligent enough to recognize that if he makes the wrong move, the world can be destroyed so he is not completely opposed to killing someone for the sake of the greater good.
maybe he isn't onto the hawks level of fighting for the greater good, but nonetheless he is not stupid enough to just let Tenko go without a fight, physical or psychological.

My favorite part in this chapter overall was literally just the end of this chapter as this sets up the next chapter. We'll finally have an answer to what we've speculated for very long time now. However regardless, this is one of the best chapters I've read in manga overall. Can't wait to see this get animated eventually

A revamp where they're officially pro heros maybe? Under a new name. "My Hero Academia" is them in training, it has to end eventually.

There are people out there who will roll their eyes at Deku’s outright refusal to kill Shigaraki, but in the end, being a hero isn’t about fighting villains, it’s about saving people
Sure fighting villains is a big part, but you fight them to save people, and not always just the people those villains are threatening, but also the villains
Most people turn to crime and villainy because they went through something bad and saw no other way out, but in the end, they’re still hurt, they still need saving, and if the person who faces them refuses to believe, acknowledge or even think of such a concept, how can they even begin to call themselves a hero?

He didn't outright refuse to kill him. He will if he has to, but I agree that saving villains from themselves separates the best heros from the rest and I think that's the type of hero Deku is shooting for.

I loved the video and am excited to see Deku get major character development in a more nuanced approach. The big lesson for him is that he may not be able to save everyone, which I can relate to as I have a tendency to go through hell to help people, especially those I care for. Nana’s question is very valid. Will he have to make that tough call? Time will tell.

Honestly time travel doesn't sound too crazy. Marvel and DC as well as tons of other super hero properties do the time travel thing. Yes it can be a tricky thing to get right, but there are people who are able to get it right

thats exactly what i thought as well but the fact theres a time rewind quirk ie eri existing , theres also a chance that time travel is possible either way we will find out who they are next week when the new chapter releases. Also i have a different suggestion in the other one might not be kirashima but actually todoroki , sigh if only there was a colored version of the page then we can def tell who it is

Guess this is where deku is supposed to surpass all might. All might was a great symbol of peace, but was really just a deterrent for criminals, after learning from gentle and shiggy’s backstories, he might figure out how to cut villains at the source, be proactive instead of reactive.
Also I’m glad it’s now clear to everyone that he does recognize that there are people too far gone to save, and would be prepared to kill. He would’ve kill overhaul had eri not been rewinding him too, deku was not pulling punches. Sometimes saving someone means putting them out of their misery.

In the last chapter they said that one for all hacks away at the users life force cause there metaphorical glass could not handle there quirk and one for all. Now deku is getting a ton of new quirks will the same thing happen to him? And maybe even faster cause of the fact that it is 6 quirks instead of the 1 extra that the other got. One for all is also more powerful now that deku has it so will his life force be drained even faster? These are just some questions and theories I would like you opinion on
Those quirks are parts of one for all . This means that they are only one quirk
as long as you are quirkless you don't have to worry about dying of old age at the age of 40
Knowing that Horikoshi draws a lot of inspiration from western superhero comics, I like to think that this chapter serves as a reference to both Spiderman and Thor. We get a rendition of Spiderman's "With great power comes great responsibility" as well as Thor's "Whom ever shall hold this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." While he will try every avenue he can to save him, Deku is willing to kill Shigaraki if there were no other option.
It's not bakugo and kirishima. Time travel would ruin the series.
